Next season BATB will be hitting 0.2s.
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure.Still didn't understand why it was renewed anyway!!
ReplyDeleteNeither do i!
ReplyDeleteLOL Haters are gonna hate no matter what.....still stable for BATB ;)
ReplyDeleteC'mon 24! :-/
ReplyDeleteI'm not a hater I'm a realist. The show never should've been renewed with numbers that low.
ReplyDeleteIt should go up in final adjusted number
ReplyDeleteWhy is everybody still going on about the ratings? We know they are low this season on Mondays. But Mark Pedowitz explained why it's renewed, many others things were considered. These days it's not alone about ratings anymore, at least not to the CW and I'm glad about that as a BatB fan.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will hit 0.2 ... maybe it's a mystery why it was renewed (no much of a mystery, just a lot of hard work of the fans) ... Still here we are, a few more episodes of season 2 and the third season is coming in 2015 ... I am happy :) and ... it is just entertainment ;) #BATB
ReplyDeleteIt's already hit 0.2s so I guess it could get 0.1...
ReplyDeleteIt was really idiotic for them to think a new CBS show would perform poorly than what BatB is doing currently!!
ReplyDeleteNo guarantee any new show will perform better than existing shows. Plus, CBS already had 44 episodes in bank; now 57, which allows them to sell more internationally. Think of how many shows flop each year. This is still a viable product for CBS or they wouldn't be producing it
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that it had already hit 0.2s , that is bad.
ReplyDeleteOnly once but still..

Sometimes it is a real mystery as to how this industry works!
ReplyDeleteI agree for, some strange reasons people continue to bask BATB, it's really hard to understand, what they don't get, the CW doesn't base everything on ratings, I'm going to continue to enjoy this terrific show, as you say that's entertainment!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad 24 did well! That show is amazing! :) Even though BATB's ratings are still low, I'm glad Mark Pedowitz has recognized the fact that ratings aren't everything. Yes, BATB has considerably low ratings for the US, but CBS doesn't just look at US ratings. They have paid attention to the global passion BATB receives; it does far better internationally than many other CW shows. That being said, the economic reasons for renewing BATB deal more with how many international companies are willing to pay CBS / CW to broadcast BATB abroad.
ReplyDeleteThe larger the international fanbase grows, the better chances BATB has for renewal because, let's face it, (I hate saying this since I am in love with BATB and also American) with as much nonfans as the US has of BATB, if BATB was streamed in the US alone, unfortunately, it wouldn't stand a chance. :(
Like I always say, people should just leave the fandoms to the fans and not worry about other shows they don't like. :)
If people do not like Beauty and the Beast that is their choice. They don't have to watch. There are alot of shows on that I don't watch but I don't bash them like people do BATB. If you don't like the show what difference do the ratings mean to you. I for one LOVE BATB.
ReplyDeleteThe rumor has it that the WB and CBS came to a deal for Mentalist and BATB. Since they co own the CW its easy to arrange.
ReplyDeleteIf they're just making the episodes for the foreign audience they should just release the episodes online and not take a timeslot away from another show that could do better in the USA. There's hardly any reason why a show with under a million viewers should still be on the air in America. In my estimation a network's job should be to get as many viewers as it possibly can and there's no way you can do that when one of your shows can barely average over 800K viewers.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why people who don't like the show (BATB) care that is was renewed. Just continue not watching it as usual. It's not affecting your life. And let us fans enjoy that we get another season. If you don't watch it u shouldn't be commenting on if its good enough or not. Cause U DONT WATCH IT THEREFORE DONT KNOW. Jeez
ReplyDeleteif it was airing on tue-thu timeslot u will be right.but just a reminder mon is a deathslot for cw and they r better doing a show like hod/batb than introducing a new one like star crossed and getting canned.
ReplyDeleteTV shows are not just about ratings. These ratings are inaccurate anyway. Look at the FB page of BATB for Christ's sake. It has twice as many likes than The Tomorrow People AND Starcrossed communities COMBINED. Granted, BATB does not have as many likes on FB like Supernatural or The Vampire Diaries, but the number of likes continuously grows. Like it or not, more and more fans fall in love with BATB every day. Obviously, the CW and CBS believed BATB has potential, and that the storyline for S3 will help the show's survival; unfortunately, we won't be able to know that for sure until the season actually airs, but the CW and CBS saw a reason to keep BATB. Might as well respect the Powers that Be in their decision; people may not see why they decided to give BATB another season, but even with horrible Nielson ratings, they must have had a D*** good reason for doing so.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural is nearing its final season, and I believe The Vampire Diaries is coming to a close as well (I may be wrong about the second one though). In my opinion, BATB will be one of those underdog shows (like SPN and Smallville once were) that will grow into a much larger fanbase in the years that go by. I believe the CBS and CW see this potential. Beasties fight for their favorite show; it's obvious the CBS and CW heard them and know they are doing everything in their power to increase the fanbase.
People should either give BATB a chance or leave it alone if they don't like it. Like I said before, leave the fanbase to the fans.
Well Whose Line is it Anyways seems to be doing very well right now. I think the CW should've moved Supernatural to Mondays in the fall to see how that would've done but that's just me. I personally don't know why the CW doesn't try to go back into some comedy shows. It's all one hour dramas with them mattresses Whose Line. Team WLIIA with a new comedy for a hour just to see if it does well.
ReplyDeleteOn Monday SPN would be going against Sleepy Hollow, and Flash ( which goes with SPN) against Gotham. And why CW has to move SPN btw? To improve Mondays?
ReplyDeleteYeah Monday is their weakest night so they should move one of their most popular shows there to stabilize it. That makes sense to me
ReplyDeleteany show even arrow/supernatural is gonna take a hit on mondays.that we all know.by putting their fav show mondays they r risking the ad revenue which also coincides with ratings.no one would wanna set fire on their own house.
ReplyDeleteI can see your point. But at the same time why mess with a good thing? Say they do move SPN to Mondays and their's viewers/demo go down as well then what do they do? Do they move it back again? That, to me, seems like a lot of work and probably would cost them a lot of money to do. Why move a big show like SPN and risk losing some of its viewers when they already have a show like BATB with its own loyal/dedicated viewers/demo already in the time slot?
ReplyDeletethey r moving one of their popular shows to mon slot. (the originals).it may be risky but they r trying to fill the hole.if it does good then cw will take consideration on moving other good ones too
ReplyDeleteJuan the Virgin is being sold as comedy lets see!
ReplyDeletewell after hitting 0.2 it bounced back to 0.4 so its not just going down down....
ReplyDeleteSeems like lots of BATB viewers left during the last half hour of the show. My guess would be that the story-line did not satisfy the viewers expectations. I've been watching CW shows since its inception and, sadly to say, never expect any great writing from them. I will be super happy when from time to time, I witness some episodes with great writings. However, I always enjoy the other elements that CW offers in their shows. BATB, for instance, it got a great cast of new and non-new talented actors that the on-screen chemistry is indescribable. I'm happy with BATB no matter how the writers write the story, the actors always bring their A+ performance to the screen. Happy people do not say bad things to shows that they DON'T watch or like!
