In all honesty...if I had other options, I don't think I'd still be watching. It's an interesting story, to me, at least, but I don't feel sympathetic at all towards Ryan and I feel like that should be important since he's plays such an important role. I don't feel like it's hard for him to betray the people he works with and often risks his life alongside. When he refused to obey Javier at the end, it wasn't because it was the right thing to do, it was because HE wanted the doctor to suffer.
I'd be a lot more invested if the show focused more on Ryan (a little less him, though) and the Acosta family and lightened up on the 'cop show' aspect of things.
