Awesome! Nice to see the bad guys get it once in awhile. Loved how Lester was kinda the nail in Malvo's coffin. Gus got the redemption he needed and Molly was proven right and made chief. Loved it!
Blessed relief that the Molly/Gus family managed to make it out alive. I'm happy Gus got to make up for his mistake earlier in the season of letting Lorne go and that Molly got her chance to be Chief.
Whilst I would have liked Lester to face justice it was kind of hiralious how he died, what a monster he had become. That smile when he sees the trail of Lorne's blood outside of his house, thinking he has won. But nope, no chance.
I would have liked to have seen Mr Wrench and find out whatever happened to Stavros - his character just disappeared from the story after his son and bodyguard died which is a shame I would like to know what became of him.
Other than that a great mini-series, much like True Detective it shows that a good story can be told and concluded in a short amount of time. I look forward to seeing where the show goes in S2, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Molly and Gus back.
I think the reason why we haven't seen Stavros again is because his part in the Fargo story was done. There was no need of him for the remainder of it.
Most likely, I kept wondering whether Molly would ever find out about Malvo blackmailing Stavros and that would be a way of getting closer to him but once the time jump happened it all faded away,
well done ending close for a fantastic series... loved the way everything was resolved especially Lester getting his just rewards and Gus getting his redemption of sorts by taking down Lorne, although I was a bit disappointed that he didn't report Lorne's location and call in the cops when he first discovered him as he might've prevented the 2 fbi agents from their demise, but then again Lorne could've caused more damage in that situation as well and Gus taking him down was more satisfying.
why do I have a feeling second season is gonna be about Molly's father past? He mentioned some story oh how he got shot twice, once now and once in previous episode, and it seemes it was something terrible that happened.
I think Marvo's death was so so, I was expecting some Lester-marvo showdown. Last episode was much better.
That be impossible seeing as Pepper and Budge who were played by Jordan Peele and Keegan Micheal Key actually have their own Sketch Show on Comedy Central.
Awesome! Really nice conclusion to first season! -Loved the Bear Trap part the best, as it tied back Malvo's own little story. -Not a surprised that the FBI agents were "sitting ducks". -Gald Gus maned up and progressed as a character. -Like the Malvo's and Lou's scene -I like how Lester's death was kind of accidental to match his wife's death. (and that it was perfectly stupid) -Sad not see Mr. Wrench though. I was hoping he would randomly resolve some things...
If there's another season, I think one major through line they could use would be Molly's dad. I think they did a nice job of having him and Malvo come face to face, but then also point out that he had is own "force" that he had to deal with back in the day (Listening to NW on NPR and said that Malvo was designed to be looked at like a myth or a force).
I think it's a mistake to focus on Gus and Molly. I say either go into the past or go into the future with a potential cameo, but stay away from a direct continuation.Hoping we get another season with some fresh new faces!

I have a feeling Wrench will return if there is a second season of Fargo.

ya and i will be expecting more of this kind of sows (1 season 8-10 eps 1 story per season), TD gave the example xD
ReplyDeletewell she found Malvo's briefcase and cassettes, we idnt see it but i think lots of interesting stuff was on the tapes...

I'm bit pissed that they killed Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael Key the same Key and Peele who have their own Sketch Show on Comedy Central lol

ReplyDeleteThat could be another good story!
Why did Malvo helped Lester in the first place?
ReplyDeleteGus hadn't actually known that it was him yet, as he hadn't gotten a good look at his face.
