Fantastic episode! One of the best of the series I think. The little kiss that Stahma gave to Nolan was very sweet. And they didn't waste time with Amanda and Nolan. Great stuff.
I used to think that with all of the beautiful women on Defiance it’s easy to forget Nicole is one of them because she’s the most covered up woman on the show. Can’t make that claim anymore. Most awkward family bath...EVER!
stahma was doing it intentionally to drive a cultural rift in the hybrid couple. im betting it took alot for Christie to get into that situation and Stahma pushed her a little too far by getting so close. In a human situation, sharing a bath is usually done with just a romantic couple or a mother and child, in Castithan society its a family thing. Stahma is trying to wedge herself between Christie and Alak to control both of them. Christie will see stahma as a role model and Alak will stop acting weak just to appease his mother, like he tried with his father in season 1.
loved it... am really enjoying this season so far: the character of Nolan so far seems so much more free spirited and fun feeling, and I appreciate the somewhat daring-ish adult writing with Datak's hand j needs, Stahma sticking her boobs in Christy's face, the E-rep guard who feels "it's important to get it up"... makes the ep feel more fun. I like the new character Berlin, even though they just intro'd the imfamous romantic triangle into play again..... I also liked the Irissa/Tommy moments as well as the Nolan/Amanda ones as well
Very good episode, except for the use or misuse or abuse of Tommy. What is the point of the character again? Just like in the beginning of Season 1, another character rips into him for being inexperienced and useless. Why even bring the character back if he's shown no growth? However, I like the new girl Berlin, and did not see her fling with Tommy coming.
That was an awesome episode!! The thing I'm wondering about though: Did Mia Kirshner decide to leave the show? I'm reading rumors that she left, and so... Kenya is dead? I always believed Kenya was alive, and now I'm especially excited to see her return! There's bound to be drama and confusion :-) yey!
But Amanda and Nolan = Meant to be <3 The scene where they met... Tears in my eyes.
Nolan was pretty blase about the disappearance and possible death of a woman he cared a lot about. I'm starting to wonder if he knows exactly where she is.
Tommy is supposed to be Irisa's to-go person, because let's be honest, no girl EVER tells her dad stuff... I liked Berlin too, I thought she'd be in a love triangle with Nolan and Amanda, since Nolan and Berlin had more chemistry than Berlin and Tommy... But I guess they thought it was awkward because of the age..
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
