  1. Anybody else starting to feel like MAYBE Finley was in on this from the start? Like maybe Gibson had done his job in holding down the fort until Finley got there to take over? That'd be a pretty good twist in my opinion. Or....at least it's the only thing I can think of that makes getting Finley inside worth the release of 5 kids, and explain him ditching his badge and gun. The gun I would give a side eye to, but I could reason it. The badge? He wasn't going rogue (no gun) or undercover....no reason to ditch it unless he was deserting his post, so to speak.

Plus other little things like the reference to his last partner shooting him, got me thinking, too. He wasn't usually on Kyle's detail, and the sudden switch positioned him at the forefront of the investigation...which would be convenient for a co-conspirator.

  2. I can see Gibson trying to frame Finley, but Finley in it from the start? I don't think so.
Especially with the last parent mission he set back Gibson's plan big time,

Very good episode btw, can't wait for next week!

  3. I agree that Gibson is trying to set up Finley as the fall guy. Remember, Finley's partner (the Secret Service Agent the President's son killed) was suppose to be the Fall Guy. Gibson would have a back-up plan in case his original Fall Guy wasn't frame-able; and seems to be why he's ordered Finley to come to the Mansion. Also, remember, in the very beginning Gibson said that he'd get a medal and be seen as the Hero.

What bothers me by this series, and this very good episode, is that the FBI is still playing "defense"--with the exception of withholding their knowledge that Gibson is the kidnapper and at war with the CIA. In order to resolve this already cancelled series with some level of credibility, the writers are going to have to get the FBI out in front of Gibson & Co. Maybe Finley will be able to go on the Offense from inside--with Dunn helping him from the outside.

With just a few episodes left, they have to crank up the game of Finley & Dunn in order to make the eventual capture of Gibson plausible.
