God Gibson is good. You have to give it to him, he brought the Director of the most powerful clandestine agency in the world to his knees in front of the whole country. He would be the hero of this show if he hadn't shot that kid in the back.
This was an OK episode. I was left with a feeling of "let down" throughout. Finley's imprisonment at the Mansion was built up the previous week as a Big Thing, but basically fizzled this week. The FBI continues to be outwitted, and was very slow to figure out that there's a mole in the Command Tent--who they still haven't found. And, the Big Build Up of the CIA Chief at the Congressional Hearing with the Manchurian Candidate/Assassin was executed so low-key as to be boring.
Up until last night I was feeling bad that NBC cancelled this show--but now I know why. The writers have written themselves into a corner they don't know how to get out of. Very, very promising premise for a show, though. Too bad they couldn't pull it off.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
ugh I want the next week promo now!
