My god, this episode was great. Finally everything kinda feels connected. I have a suspicious theory that the piece Brad took from the safe is important. But the question is will the freelancer allow Kiera to get it back. Oh I can't wait till next week.
Any word on Continuum's renewal? Tonights episode felt very much like it tried to tie up a bunch of loose ends (not to mention, brought together pretty much all the major players).
As of this episode 3 timelines exist (1 past, 1 alternate, and 1 possible future). The only way I can see Kiera fixing this mess is if Emily (Green) time travels to stop Alec (Red) from a week back to save Emily (Red)...............confused yet, because you wouldn't be the only one. This episode gets extra cool points (No Spoilers) because most of "The Band" was brought back together! Can't wait to see how this "Time Fracture" storyline/season is resolved/ended! 4 A LIBER8ED TIMELINE, I am still Nobody!!!
The two futures we know of (KIera's GCC timeline, and Brad's "Militia" timeline), are both very bad futures. I suspect the "correct" timeline, is neither of those. And the current timeline that is unfolding, with the corporate Alec, the power hungry Dillon, and the "future is now" tech, is certainly on a path towards Brad's future. Both Alec and Dillion needs to be removed from the equation, and put "our" Alec back in control.
In Kiera's future, Piron and Sadtech are two separate entities. In the current timeline, it seems Kellogg has control of Sadtech, and the one that -should- be running Sadtech (Alec) is in charge of Piron.
This series has really pushed its own limits this season. I'm very impressed with how the "bad guys" display unexpected complexity and self-doubt instead of just going down with the ship. It will be very unfortunate if this series doesn't get renewed, but it can be proud of this third season either way.
But Piron bought Sadtech and brought Kellogg on board, right?
And I guess it seems, from Brad's future, that Kellogg is not entirely self-centered after all, or whatever we can conclude from the recorded glimpse of him in Brad's 2039.
I really liked this episode. I particularly liked how they realized that they didn't have the control they thought they did. Sonya it seemed like was still pretty gung-ho about trying to "fix" things but most everyone else it looked like had to started to rethink things.
Awesome episode, Now we know that even if we know the future it doesn't mean that we know the future. It showed a new path for the series and probably a new direction that either would be for the GCC future making it or it would just mean a new path for everybody to take to a better future.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the major player will be reset for next season after watching this episode.

ReplyDeleteMy theory about Brad coming back from a future created by the new timeline was correct! It was a nice moment having him meet his kid self in the shed.
ReplyDeleteThe idea that the GCC controlled future is the lesser of two evils is interesting. The future Brad came from seems far bleaker.
