I avoided GoT for 2 years after watching the pilot... When I Saw the pilot I couldn't focus on the story, I can't remember why... So yesterday I gave it another chance and watched the 7 first episodes of it :) I'm almost hooked ! I love the theme song and also I learnt how to play it on guitar yesterday :) Now I understand SOME of the series XD it's quite awesome, complex and epic so I'm gonna binge watch it in a week so I can watch the S4 finale live ! :)
Penny Dreadful (favourite new show!), Salem (I'm getting obsessed with it), Devious Maids and I'll be watching In The Flesh when it's released on iTunes US so probably in a couple of weeks.
And obviously "A Place to Call Home" (most underrated show ever!) in a couple of hours... it airs in Australia so it's available online early Sunday!
In The Flesh, GOT, Enlisted, Veep and finishing off Orange Is The New Black because damn I ended up bingewatching the season even though I didn't want to!
Friday:Battlestar Galactica (miniseries part 2), Point Pleasant, Continuum.
Saturday: Fringe (s1 catchup), Orphan Black, Boardwalk Empire (s1 catchup), In The Flesh.
Saving Turn & Fargo for mid to late summer. Also this week, i'm catching up on: Supernatural (s3), Sherlock (s2), Homeland (s2), Person of Interest (s2); with my morning coffee and at dinner, if i have time.
Game Of Thrones Penny Dreadful watch live Dvr Veep Nurse Jackie Enlisted Halt and Catch Fire watch on demand Drop Dead Diva Devious Maid also Salem that's because it's only way I can watch it because I don't have the channel
First time for Alias, Fringe, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, & The Sopranos. I'm only watching one season each a year. First time for Homeland, Sherlock, & Supernatural I watch 3 or 4 episodes a week, trying to catchup.
I think it's the fifth for Lost, it's my all time favorite. I didn't watch seasons 3-6 until a couple of years ago. Then i bought it on Bluray, and watched every day, until i watched it over 4 times through. I got sick of it, stopped for over a year. Ruined me from binge watching anything. Now i watch one season a year, but one episode a week.
Make mine Continuum (how is Kiera going to fix the timeline?), In The Flesh (excellent series, but maybe not for everyone!), Penny Dreadful (backstory on Vanessa Ives, Mina Harker, and Malcolm Murray...............NUFF SAID!), Salem (real shame if you're not watching this series!), and Game of Thrones (Wildlings, Cannibals, Wargs, and Giants versus the men of the NightWatch!).............can't wait for this epic battle! Nobody, 4 NOW!!!
That and how long until season 3 (In The Flesh)? A real thought provoking series that hasn't got caught in 'ships, triangles, and "angst style" humor................definitely for your thinking viewership. Nobody, 4 LATER!!!
I really hope there will be a S3, with the channel going off air next year everything is uncertain at the moment. The show deserves a step up the BBC ladder though in many peoples opinion, it really should be reaching more people than the few hundred thousand it is at present. Like you say, it's fantastic, thought provoking television, and has just won two BAFTA's!!
If the BBC doesn't renew it I think Amazon will get on it, they are looking to expand the original programming (they already acquired Ripper Street when it was cancelled) and In The Flesh looks like the perfect product for them.
But what channel could/should In The Flesh go too? SyFy - right now would be a waste of a great series. SyFy is in a "Dead Zone" for now. USA - I just don't see it fitting on a channel geared towards the "Action/Sex" viewership IMHO! AMC - not as long as "The Walking Dead" is on air. A&E - maybe a possible fit. Leading into "The Bates Motel"..............it could work........I think. CW - 'ships, triangles, and "angst style" humor CENTRAL STATION...............forget it! WGN - also another possible fit leading/following Salem could work. My fingers are crossed for In The Flesh season 3, 4, and 5! Nobody, 4 NOW!!!
That could be very good for the show actually. I think that if the BBC could only offer them online content only when BBC Three goes to iPlayer next autumn then a move to Amazon might be a better option all things considered. Ideally though, I'd prefer it to move to BBC 2, that would be perfect in my eyes.
Hmm, I can't see it being taken up by an American network really. At a push perhaps BBC Worldwide could take it over without the BBC's input at all maybe, but I think it would remain a British show.
BBC America is going off the air next year? Nooooo! How are Americans going to see: Orphan Black, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Broadchurch, Intruders and of course In The Flesh. This is one of my favorite channels. :(
Ahh, no, BBC Three who makes In the Flesh is going off the air next year and becoming swallowed up into BBC iPlayer, which is their catch up/online content service :)
Lost is my all time favorite too. Breaking Bad is high up on that list aswell. I tried getting into Person of Interest, but never found it interesting. Maybe I should go straight to season 3? I watched 6 - 7 episodes from season 1 and they never caught my interest. Enjoy all the good shows you are watching. :-)
I really enjoyed season 1 of Breaking Bad. It started slow, but really kicked into gear towards the end. With Person of Interest i like season 1, but it has a lot of case of the week. Season 3, was the perfect starting point for me, a more serialized conspiracy thriller. It's the kind of show, that was easy to pick up there. And not be too confused, about what was going on. The first couple of episodes of season 3, are more procedural then it gets going, especially with Root's storyline. By the end of the season, it was in my top 10 of favorite current shows. I went back and starting watching the previous seasons, for more background and character development.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
GOT, Maids, DDD.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones, Veep, and finishing up season 2 of Orange is the New Black.
