I like do dig holes in the forest, I do it because I like it, I go overboard sometimes and get dirty but its because I like it, I don't do it for the Digging League Award granted every year to the best digger in the country...
For an 8 episode run of a historic-supernatural monster-mash, with some episodes that are dull and accents that are terrible (Bronna) Eva (I F*ck fight 300:Rise of an Empire) Green seems to be going an awful lot of work. Could she not get any proper film work???
I could dug 1 more foot deeper today, but I have to comment here.
Based on fast search this is how she feels: She says she has no plans to work in Hollywood full-time because, "The problem with Hollywood is that the studios are super powerful, they have far more power than the directors. My ambition at this moment is just to find a good script".[50] She added that in Hollywood she would probably get typecast as a femme fatale.
Til now she has always only stared in 1 film per a year, its was only recently where she increased her work load(4 this year, included Sin City), but who knows what she really wants to do.
I didn't really like her before this, she is a one face kind of actress, but I think she found her right kind of role, because she does it really well IMO...very similar to other roles she has made but I don't care it makes me think this is Vanessa not Eva Green, so all is good and forgiven, even the accent!
Umm she is amazing in her performance on this show, more multi dimensional and layered than any other actress on TV this season, the reason she will not be nominated is because they did not submit Penny Dreadful for season 1 and will wait till season 2.
I can not disagree more. She has always been a very gifted actress just a lot of the roles she has been given have lacked those meaty parts on Penny Dreadful, IMO she is much better than most of the current big time Film actresses.
I love Eva Green. She is brilliant in this. She really brings Vanessa Ives to life. I actually love all of the main actors, Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett), Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney), Dr Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) and Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Poor Dorian :-(
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to tell Eva Green to stop trying so hard. She isn't going to get an Emmy!!
