  2. I'm counting down the hours until I can watch this. Lesbehonest, it's probably going to be incredible and I'll almost certainly pull a House of Cards style binge and be extremely anti social and finish the season by early Sunday morning.

  16. Saw the whole season, voted OK, so spoilers ahead.

This season felt a bit tame. I liked the introductions into the past of some of the inmates, but cause they only did 1 episode per inmate and didn't really come back to it, it felt not really as important as for example the looks into the past for Piper.
Missed Alex and the drama that she brings, episode 1 was awesome, it continued with the exciting rollercoaster S1 was.
The rest of the episodes were OK, I probably felt like that cause Piper wasn't the clueless person anymore.
No more stupid mistakes with cell mates, barely no more poking in business others don't want her poking in.
Piper's story was boring compared to season 1. Same goes with Pensatucky who got so quiet.
Soso was meant as kinda the replacement of the season 1 Piper, but got never really in any trouble, most of the time she just annoyed me instead of being funny.
Vee was a very good addition to the show, loved how she took control of the black group and slowly worked towards control of 'everything' in prison. Her past with Taystee was very interesting and it was great how she took Crazy Eyes under her wing and then betrayed her like that. Very good acting from Crazy Eyes there!
The whole pregnancy and guard the father routine got really boring, nothing changed from the first season, they just kept fighting a lot and other inmates threatening to expose them.
Red's comeback was good, lets hope we get back to some more drama there next season.
Piper's home development was good, cause it was mostly realistic, but realistic isn't always as exciting as you want it to be.

Overall I voted ok. Lets hope Alex gets transferred back in immediately next season, Piper gets more involved into the stories of the 'gangs' in prison and 2 or 3 interesting new prison mates.

  17. I've just finished it. I thought that it was incredible.

  18. That was incredible. Yes I completely failed in my attempt to pace myself and instead finished S2 in a weekend. Damn that was really good, like this season gave us plenty of time to get to know more about some of the other inmmates. My personal favourite backstory is that of Miss Rosa, so I loved how the season ended - it felt like a victory for the women for once and was a satisfying way to end the season.

Vee Parker, god trouble from the start her plans infected everyone, screwed over Crazy Eyes, really messed up Red and was a real threat to everyone. Amazing performance and a great character, terrifying and controlling and yet you could see why the girls fell under her spell.

But my favourite character arc this season had to go to Poussey especially her friendship with Taystee which was broke my heart several times. I loved how Poussey stayed strong in her conviction that Vee was seriously bad news.

Overall a real great season though I wish they would cut the Larry storyline for good now, no need for it anymore

  19. Finally, finished. If S1 was very good then S2 is exceptional. Amazing back stories, amazing character development and amazing character arcs. By the time the final credits rolled on in S02E13, I had a huge smile on my face. Very, very satisfying finale and an incredible season.

It was amazing! I blew through it over the weekend and was blown away. I loved how much backstory we got on the other girls and of all that stuff, Tastee's, Morello's, and Suzanne's broke my heart

  21. It was amazing ! I want S3 now please :)
I don't know if i can wait 1 year for S3 i already miss the characters

  22. I also got through the entire season in a week-end: no regrets! Just as good as season 1 minus the novelty, but the focus on the other inmates was very welcome. Poussey in particular was very good and poor Crazy Eyes thinking she found someone who really cared for her was heartbreaking.

The Morello twist was quite unexpected: she's actually completely nuts, but even she managed to gain sympathy after her flash-backs.

    And now, the wait begins.

  23. I'm choosing to believe the two votes for awful are by people who were saddened that it was over and that wait is long.
I started after worked Friday and finished late Saturday afternoon. Season 2 was fantastic.

  24. Finished on Sunday, really loved it. I thought there was a SMALL dip in quality from season 1, mainly because I didn't like the Vee character and how she took over the entire season. I enjoyed her effect on some characters but I found her story to be pretty black-and-white and a bit repetitive. It seemed they didn't quite know what to do with Piper in prison now that Alex was gone, and her taking a back seat was a bit off as this is billed as her story (even though she's not my favorite character, as with Meredith as the center of Grey's Anatomy, series' tend to work best when they have a main anchor). I loved the Lorna, Rosa and Gloria episodes, and the finale was also exceptional.

  25. Yeah I really felt for Morello as the season went on and Christopher visited her, really heartbreaking.

  26. Yep. I stayed up so I could start watching at 2am when it was released in my time zone even though I had work in the morning. Such a captivating series.

  27. Fantastic. Though overall I find Larry utterly superfluous. We don't need to spend all that time with to understand Piper's emotional state(s). His story always felt tacked on to me, as he is so far removed from Litchfield, especially after the ending of his relationship with Piper. So again, superfluous. I hope they decide to lose him next season. I like Jason Biggs though. The character just doesn't fit in the show anymore imo.

I'm living in Zurich and could watch the whole Season 2. Okay, i download it on kickass.to - and it was really good. I haven't seen season 1 yet, but now i will... thx to Netflix.

  29. At least she wasn't as insufferable as in Season 1.

  30. I thought the second season was much better than the first one. It as cleverly written and very well wrapped up in the finale. The backstories of the inmates (other than Piper's, of which I think we've had enough) were very interesting and some of them absolutely heartbreaking. My only criticisms are as follows: I found that the characters of CrazyEyes and Pennsatucky were a bit over-acted this season; and the Larry character should be totally dropped from the series, he overstayed his welcome.

  31. Just finished the season (It was a busy week) and the finale was so amazing. I can't wait for Season 3.
