Disney is planning three new “Star Wars” sequels and a variety of spin-off films. Darth Vader may have died in “Return of the Jedi,” but is there any chance you’ll be involved in these films?
Oh no. I’ve got no illusions that I will or even hankerings to be in them, but I’m very proud to have been part of the original.

Since it's a cameo I don't expect them to be spoiling his involvement in any way.
ReplyDeleteAlso that doesen't put a nail in the coffin for a Vader appearance. He could be played by a huge guy and Jones could be called up three weeks before the movies release and be informed to do some lines.
Remember; this is movie relies on the viewer being surprised. Him neglecting the thought of being involved could very much be a ploy
I need at least a Vader cameo
It could be. But unless it's as a force ghost it makes no sense. Even then if not done correctly it could feel shoehorned. But personally I'm good, Vader's dead and I'd much rather the series shift from the old aging cast and focus on the newcomers whether they be Ben Skywalker, Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo (which I would really, really prefer) or others.
ReplyDeleteor a flashback, or the mech body that used to be Vader is used by a force being à Darth Nihilus
ReplyDeleteFair, fair enough Vader was the best villain the franchise ever had.
ReplyDeletewell that's a real downer
ReplyDeleteHmm well it's probably better they start fresh anyway, maybe it would have been nice for a cameo but at least for me I can live with just a passing mention etc.
