NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteso now it's the best characters of the show aren't returning claire and peter
ReplyDeleteHeroes was to me the best when MV was at the thick of things. Wonder what they have in store for the reboot.
ReplyDeletegiven the direction the show ultimately took I think most of the previous characters not returning is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree, but Hayden and Milo's characters (and arguably Zachary Quinto's as well, who also confirmed that he won't be participating) were too central to the show to be done away with. I hope they are given some closure -- even if it's off-camera.
ReplyDeleteCalled that.
ReplyDeleteFigured as much seeing that heis a regular on The Whispers.
ReplyDeleteThe show's obsession with Sylar and Claire in the later seasons, because of the popularity and fame of the actors playing them, was in many ways its death knell. In my opinion it can only be a good thing that they aren't returning to take over the new series as well.
ReplyDeleteNow there's no reason to watch this reboot/show anymore for me!!
ReplyDeleteUhm.. New interesting characters?
ReplyDeleteThank god for that, I will definitely be tuning in then :D
ReplyDeleteThe show's obsession with the Petrelli family was such a turn off, especially Peter as his power wasn't thought out at all past the middle of the first season.
ReplyDeleteThat's good news. I vaguely remember the show, but I do remember finding him annoying (all the family really). I wish Sylar was coming back though.
ReplyDeleteHeroes needs a complete reboot.
ReplyDeleteI find the minisseries idea pretty stupid and bringing former characters would make it even more stupid, nullifying the other seasons and making them look even worse.
A few characters from the original series will be good, but if the focus is on new heroes we don't want to get swamped trying to nail down every little last "this is what happened to this character next"
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad, but I don't like that his character kept losing his powers. :-( Although I understand that it's hard to write good material for someone very powerful like Peter or Q in Star Trek for exampel.
ReplyDeletePitty, I miss him.
ReplyDeleteall the immortalish characters are out of the picture whats up with that...
ReplyDeleteAs I said, I tend to agree, more so in Sylar's case, I was pretty over him by the end.
ReplyDeleteHeroes Post-Season One: "You guys know that one arc in Spider-Man where Peter Parker seemed to lose all his powers but it actually turned out that he was just having an emotional breakdown? Well Peter Petrelli's arc is going to basically be that over and over again, but without any of the elements that gave Peter Parker's recovery any sort of emotional resonance. Basically we just don't know what to do with the ridiculously powerful character we created so we're going to pile every 'loses powers' storyline ever written into a single character, except for the bits that we give to Hiro."
ReplyDeleteWish I had your confidence.
ReplyDeleteHmm..Milo is doing a lot of other stuff these days, but I liked Peter, but if the idea is to do a new thing, I think it's good not having him around, and if just one main will retur, Jack coleman makes the most sense, the question is just how HRG works without Claire, I mean, she kinda was his mmotivation for everything..right?
