DOROTHY GALE | A natural, and not waify, beauty scarred by past experiences, Dorothy has patched a life together for herself despite the fact that she sells herself short. Outward insecurity and lack of self-awareness hide the savior survivor that she will discover she truly is.
WEST | This 30something femme is a corruptive — and fearsome — force of nature, a drugged-out virtuoso filled with self-loathing. She’s equal parts compelling and unsettling.
NORTH | In her 30s or 40s, this Type-A manipulative perfectionist has a bit of a “big sister” relationship to West.
HENRY | The series’ male romantic lead, this handsome and well-built gent presents a seemingly open nature that belies a bit of a past.

I'm assuming West and North are the respective witches of the West and South? I don't remeber a Witch of the North, though I'm sure there is.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I love The Wizard of Oz, hoping this show is will be good.
My choice for cast
ReplyDeleteTracy Spiridakos as Dorothy
Sarah Michelle Gellar as West
Elizabeth Mitchell as North
Matt Lantar as Henry
Ooh, I like this. LOL, I think I want Elizabeth Mitchell in everything.
ReplyDeleteFinally some news about this show. Got a feeling this will be pushed way back to summer 2015.
ReplyDeleteMy wish for Dorothy is Lyndsy Fonesca, West played by Colbie Smulders, North Shenen Doherty, Henry by the Tommy actor from Arrow, forgot his name ATM.
Tommy was played by Colin Donnell.
ReplyDeleteThanks! ;-)
ReplyDeleteNp.
ReplyDeleteI want Stefanie Scott to play Dorothy ASAP!!
ReplyDeleteLike your list but don't you think Robbie Amell a bit older for AnnaSophia Robb
ReplyDeleteHe is 26 and she is 20. I think that's alright.
ReplyDeleteIn the books Glinda was the Witch of the South and she didn't meet Dorothy until the very end of the first book when she send her home. The Witch of the North, a seperate character, was the one who welcomed Dorothy to Oz and told her to go see the Wizard.
ReplyDeleteFor the 1939 movie they combined the characters and made Glinda the Witch of the NORTH.
Thanks for the clarification, very excited for this show!
ReplyDeleteOh great it's going to have romance. These people just can't help themselves.
