Drama from Robert Downey Jr in development at Showtime

Showtime has put in development a drama from writer Gary Lennon, Robert Downey Jr. & Susan Downey’s Team Downey banner and Sony Pictures TV. I hear the pay cable network landed the project in a competitive situation. Written by Lennon, the untitled drama is set in 1983 and follows a rehab/therapeutic community in Venice Beach where drugs and alcohol have always been part of the local culture.
