SIX SEASONS AND A MOVIE ! IT IS HAPPENING ! THIS IS CAPS-LOCK WORTHY !
Yahoo has decided to renew Community for a sixth season, with 13 glorious new episodes débuting THIS FALL!
It was the last possible day for a credible Community renewal, as the contracts of the main cast members were ending in a few hours.
These guys are hilarious even in Press release quotes. Are you excited for season 6?!
Dan Harmon and Chris McKenna will remain showrunners, John Oliver (now hosting HBO's Last Week) said he'll do his best to appear in a few episodes if he has time, Jonathan Banks is unlikely to appear (he's starring in Better Call Saul), and the deal doesn't say whether or not and the non-celebrity companion of LeVar Burton will find a way to escape the pirates and come back to Greendale for one last year.
This show's the best, the World Cup's amazing (missed a goal reporting this; worth it), Allez les Bleus and I'm HAPPY!

EDIT : This is likely to be the final season of Community (followed by a movie, perhaps) :
This has made me very happy.
ReplyDeleteYAY!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy for the fans, but the subjectiveness of this post was hilarious XD
ReplyDeleteYahoo?? What the....?? How's that going to be.
ReplyDeleteI like the Caps Lock in the title.
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES
ReplyDeleteawesome :D
The age of WebTV has arrived
OMG! This is amazing news!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhh!! Best news ever!!
ReplyDeleteHoly shit.
ReplyDeleteI hear Almost Human will be renewed by McDonald's
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome I was sad when they said it was canceled. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy right now!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe appropriate reaction to this news should be:
ReplyDelete"Yaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooo!!"
Six seasons and movie!
ReplyDeleteNow this has brightened my day! Completely unexpected. I have to admit I gave up hope but I have never been so happy to be wrong.
ReplyDeleteYahoo! has been doing TV for a while. They are the ones who originally premiered the amazing and hilarious E! series "Burning Love" (the Bachelor spoof) and a couple of others as well.
ReplyDeleteHolly crap! Can I just say....YESSSSSSSSSSSS!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome for fans but who the hell is gonna finance and distribute this movie? I think it will be #sixseasonsbutnomovie
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt depends, anything is possible, it just got a last minute miracle renewal for a final season.
ReplyDeleteWoah! Yay! Did not see this one coming. Loving the caps-lock ;)
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP
ReplyDeleteCommunity set a new meaning for the eleventh hour.
Miracles DO happen then! WOW!
ReplyDeleteYESSSS. I'm so happy.
ReplyDeleteYahoo? What the hell, i'll take it.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! I have the biggest grin on my face right now. This is indeed CPS-worthy news hehe.
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh so hard, you can't even imagine!
ReplyDeleteSo do I need to buy a yahoo screen account now or is it free? How does this work?
ReplyDeleteDREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE
ReplyDeletegreat news. Hopefully s6 won't dissapoint
ReplyDeleteWhen I came to know of this first, I was soo shocked. Best news ever!!
ReplyDeleteOk thanks!! Great news, can't wait!
ReplyDeletethe ebar couldnt get this one! the fans must be really happy
ReplyDeleteKickstarter....?
ReplyDeleteThis is the best news I've heard in a long time, and I cannot wait to see the new season! I'm so glad everyone is psyched to do it as well! Now let's hope Troy escapes those pirates :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, Christmas in June.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the explanation! I'll be sure to turn off adblock ;)
ReplyDeleteIt really is the milk chocolate timeline.
ReplyDeleteAny idea if they go the Netflix route and show all 13 episodes at a time, or if it will be one at a time?
ReplyDeleteAll 13 at once per the Yahoo! article. I'm looking forward to 3 and a half hours of binge-watching this fall lol
ReplyDeleteCould you send me a link to that please? Because someone on IMDB is saying it's confirmed it will be 1 at a time.
ReplyDeleteNo problem. We're all so excited that we're all probably misreading things.
ReplyDeleteYahoo has a TV channel??
ReplyDeleteHELL no, I won't disable adblock. I'd rather just wait for the torrent.
ReplyDeleteYEs well that's probably their best bet, I just don't see a studio doing it or especially it getting a theatrical release. Either it would be a TV/online film (If online on Yahoo they'd probably split it up over a couple of weeks) or either it would be straight to VOD. Not that I'm hoping it *won't* get a movie, I think it would be great for the show to go out how intended, it's just hard for me to see very many possible routes they could even go.
ReplyDeleteMaybe as a Netflix original movie? Hmm.
Cool, cool cool cool. Oh, that's nice. This is Chang I can believe in. Yahoo has turned this into the brightest timeline! I am so happy right now, not even Britta being a buzzkill could ruin my day now.
ReplyDeleteWORDS CAN'T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE MY HAPPINESS
ReplyDeleteI will continue to review Community through its 6th (and final?) season :'D
It seems we will continue to talk Community in this site!
ReplyDeleteSee you in my review of the season premiere :D
I'm so over the moon here! I was starting to lose all hope, and then BHAM! Last minute renewal :'D
ReplyDeleteTHIS
ReplyDeleteI would eat a couple of Big Macs if that brought the show back
ReplyDeleteWow. It's a miracle. Let's hope they used Season 6 to properly wrap up the show.
ReplyDeleteEven if through online, will there be a Blu-ray/DVD release of S6?
ReplyDeleteProbably, even Netflix series have DVD/Blu-ray releases, so I don't see why not
ReplyDeleteJohn Oliver (now hosting HBO's Last Week) said he'll do his best to appear in a few episodes if he has time
ReplyDeleteYay! That'd be great if that were the case.
Jonathan Banks is unlikely to appear (he's starring in Better Call Saul)
Aw. I liked him.
Ah, well, no biggie. Just thrilled that the show is getting another chance and will come back! I look forward to the episodes! Also, loved Joel's tweet. Awwww.
Yeah, of all sites I never would've expected it to be Yahoo. But hey, whatever the place, I sure as hell ain't complaining! It'd be cool if this starts a trend for other cancelled shows to get a chance.
ReplyDeleteThis post makes me so happy.
ReplyDeleteWoah that was unexpected, not just the last last minute renewal but Yahoo of all places. Great news.
ReplyDeleteI would rather buy them and not eat them. McDonald's tastes like shit.
ReplyDeleteI apologize, I forgot about that added perk. That's even better news! I thoroughly enjoyed our discussions about the episodes, and we get to continue to do so! Best day ever!
ReplyDeleteWow they were really serious with #sixseasonsandamovie!!!!
ReplyDeleteyahoo screen, which is a internet platform in which they broadcast all kinds of videos. I watched the series premiere of The Leftovers there, so they have TV content
ReplyDeleteStrangely enough, when I say sarcastic shit in real life, people throw things at me. Irl sucks, internet rules.
ReplyDeleteBless Yahoo!!
ReplyDeleteAnd there is something I never thought I'd type.
Yeah, that worries me. No need to drag it on past a 6th season. Do what the Brits do with their shows and just focus on closure.
ReplyDeleteNow the Yahoo chief is saying she wants it to go past a 6th season. I love this show, but it needs to be wrapped up this year. The mantra was six seasons and a movie. Not as many seasons as we can squeeze out of it before people get completely sick of it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, besides ads only play for the beginning (at least that's what happened when I watched The Leftover's pilot), and they last 15 seconds! It's not that bad
ReplyDeleteSo a question for you guys:
ReplyDeleteAs Community is getting back I'm obviously going to keep reviewing the show, but if Yahoo releases all the 13 episodes at once, how should I review them?
Should I:
A) Make a season long review for season 6.
B) Make weekly reviews every Thursdays (in honor of Community's original timeslot) of each episode.
C) Make weekly reviews of 2 episodes.
D) Make weekly reviews and then a season long review.
E) Make a season long review and then the weekly review.
Please let me know your opinion on the matter! :)
Do you need to subscribe to it?
ReplyDeleteBurning Love is one of my all time favorites. I am happy to see yahoo taking on more projects!
ReplyDeleteIt was destiny #SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real. xD
ReplyDeleteI'm happy *Pharrell's voice*
ReplyDeleteTwelve seasons and a theme park!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best comment ever! :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I didn't even know Yahoo did TV. Do I have to pay for this as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime? I am excited for Community but I wish one of the 789 networks on TV had picked it up. I have no idea where half of these shows are popping up these days.
ReplyDeleteFunniest comment ever. I laughed so hard I snorted. So instead of having a Subway in Greendale, the Almost Human partners will bond while Dorian watches John eat burgers and the occasional Filet-O-Fish.
ReplyDeleteMade for TV movie that clocks in at 90 minutes and also is used as the series finale?
ReplyDeleteWait for the confirmation it's going to be all 13 eps at once. I seriously doubt Yahoo will do that. I think we will get 1-2 episode per week.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the 13 episodes would be released at once, but I will wait for an official statement before jumping to conclusion.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this was an hypotetical question to begin with :)
It's 100% free, you have to let it play an ad for 15 seconds before the video starts and then it runs uninterrupted. I watched the series premiere of The Leftovers there; the ads are not annoying at all, just once at the beginning and never again
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks. So much better than paying to watch ads on Hulu.
ReplyDeleteAnother season where a Jeff and Annie pairing will get teased, but nothing will actually happen between them. Sigh. Same old, same old.
