Oh Gabe...that's a lost cause man. That ship has sunk.
ReplyDeleteDoes he really think after we finally got our old Vincent back that she would leave him?
ReplyDeleteOh, nooo... that is so boring...if they keep Gabe for S3, I will not watch it.
ReplyDeleteSeriously a date with Gabe haven't we gone pass this
ReplyDeleteanything to get rid of Gabe. I am sure Vincent has a hand in this as well as JT and Tess.
ReplyDeleteInteresting.....why would Cat say yes to a date with Gabe? Always a surprise with those batb writers!
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with Gabe as long as he's not a love interest for Cat. I prefer him as a bad guy, he really gets on my nerves while, at the same time I appreciate his talent so watching him i find enjoyable. lol
ReplyDeleteThat was my first thought too, but maybe Cat is manipulating him? Let's hope....
ReplyDeleteThis is why I don't like spoilers but still I'm unable to stay away from them :-) I just have to remind myself not to get upset even when they are so freaking frustrasting..
ReplyDeleteSo, after all he has done to hurt Vincent and will do in the next episodes against her, Tess , JT and maybe Heather , she is still talking to him and even accept a date with him ? I don't care it is fake or not. The whole idea is plain stupid . Btw this is Episode # 21 and everything is still revolving around Gabe. I'm seriously starting to wonder if in the last episode they are getting rid of Jay and Kristin so they can finally have a full season about Gabe and himself.
It does seem a little perplexing after the slap and what appears to be happening next week that ya she is still anywhere near him and again what it seems like in every spoiler for every one of these last episodes the main focus is what Gabe is doing! I waited so long for these last 6 episodes and all I see or hear about is Gabe!
ReplyDeleteYes, none of them could think that seriously....after what just happened...
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the writers think fans will keep watching this with Gabe constantly, fake or no.Be creative writers, come up with a way to save Vincent and get Gabe out of the picture once and for all.All this with Gabe was a big mistake this season when it is called Beauty and the Beast.Fans aren't watching for the Gabe tv show.
ReplyDeletei am starting to agree with you.He has gotten more airtime than Tess and J.T.I guess the writers don't get it,we don't want to see Gabe.Have another storyline writers.
ReplyDeleteMe too.I feel like it has become the Gabe show.We are almost at the last episode for the season.
ReplyDeleteFans are all so sick of that storyline with Gabe.Come on writers!
ReplyDeleteWriters don't seem to get that we don't want Gabe on here, and they wonder why fans aren't watching. We want Beauty and the Beast.
ReplyDeleteGabe's beat down is coming, can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for the dude.. dont want him with kat, but i still fell sorry for him :)
ReplyDeleteHe is so over...they need to kill him off and get a new bad/good (who knows) guy. the writers just are not listening...this is not a show about triangles..it's about epic, fairy tale love..Creepy Gabe be gone...
ReplyDeleteIt has been the creepy Gabe show...wonder who he knows that's trying to make it the Gabe show...ugh
ReplyDeleteI do hope he won't be around in season 3 because he's like the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. The audience never connected with his character and will never do.
ReplyDeleteDang, I thought after this coming weeks episode this Gabe obsession with Cat would be over and we would move forward with the story line and not go back to Gabe trying to win Catherine with a romantic (are you kidding me) date. I like Gabe much better as a nemesis for VinCat than part of a love triangle. Can't believe this is still going on in the next to the last episode of Season 2. Bright spot of the episode we have Heather's bachelorette party to look forward to, that should be fun and the episode is written by Sherri and Jen.
ReplyDeleteMy only hope is that this date leads to something, but I am so over that Gobling thing... We want VinCat dinners, and walks by hand under the moonlight, not dinners with ... i cannot even say his name, because i do not want to give him more than he deserves.
ReplyDeletethe fans' frustration with Gabe is so obvious and yet the writers keep shoving him down our throats, what is the point?? unless they actually want to kill the show?????
ReplyDeleteWhat does Gabe not get, I just dont think he likes to loose at anything. He is so high on himself.
ReplyDeleteDoes he really think, that after what he did, it's so easy. You cant make some body love you, even if you think they aren't in the picture. GBG
Still watching, cause I need to see him suffer now, after all the crap he's pulled
ReplyDeleteIf all of this means the ending of Gabe with this fake date mess I say bring it on I'm so over him already!!!
ReplyDeleteShe agrees to go on this "date", he finds out that she was totally playing him and he gets so pissed that he turns back into a beast.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been a great excercise for the Executive Producer to take a good hard look at what worked and what didn't for the first 16 episodes of Season 2. Look at the ratings, the comments, etc and see that what really didn't work was the whole focus on Gabe this season-while everyone else's character was being ripped apart-he was the Prince, the Golden Boy, the one who was going to save everyone. If you look at the ratings episode to episode, it was the ones with Gabe/Cat that the ratings went down and now when the writer's had a chance to improve the ratings-what are we seeing-more Gabe,
ReplyDeleteAgree, totally. My only hope is that this "Fake Date" operation will be carried out without Vincent's knowledge or approval, and that when he finds out about it, he will approach the FBI, possibly through Agent Landon, and lay everything on the table. this way both Gabe and agent Reynolds will be exposed and will have to pay for everything they did, to Vincent and other victims of Muirfield. That's the wishful thinking of the hopeless romantic in me!!!
ReplyDeleteCat will use him to keep herself in the loop of things to protect V, but she would never trust him again
ReplyDeleteEvery show has to have a character we all love to hate and right now he's numero uno
ReplyDeleteWe need someone to hate or else it would get boring. I want to see him suffer some after all the crap he's pulled
ReplyDeleteWell there has to be a REALLY good reason why we are still seeing the Gabe story. We thought, or at least I thought, that the main focus for the last 6 epsiodes were going to be mostly Vincat but it looks like even up to the episode we are still enduring this character, and he is taking up valuable screen time from our Fab 4. There are so many antagonists in this season that we could get rid of Gabe really easily and most people would not bat an eye. Many fans were ready for that to happen way before the hiatus even started.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with all comments about Gabe, here. This character really took a long time on the show, when they had characters more important to explore.
ReplyDeleteI think that Cat will have careful with her plan and all right!
Gabe was posing of nice guy so far. We need to see him pay for everything does - I want this.
ReplyDeleteAnd he is that guy, nothing against the actor at all but, he has nailed the antagonist to a tee, we couldn't buy him as the perfect one, now if he's the baddie we know he is then the Fab Four will take care of him once and for all :)
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I also think that Gabe disturbed the season 2, but I understand that now is the time of Gabe pay for everything that he does - and if was on this line, the episode will be cool :)
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly not alone on that, I think everyone is sick and tired of the Gabe show he has been the writers favorite son for the entire second season, they tried to fit him in anyway they could from Mr perfect and now a screw that's slowly becoming unraveled, to that let the Beasties say enough already!!!
ReplyDeleteWell maybe they need to give him more air time, Im guessing out of the 3 he is the top paid actor because of his popularity in other shows...I just think they used him wrong, they should have use his talent and popularity for other causes...Oh well, lets see where do they take us with this Gabe roller coaster Im just tired of seen one actor change his personality throughout two season already...because I really like Sendhil :(
ReplyDeleteThat's why I think is called "Fake Date"
ReplyDeleteI had nothing against Gabe untill they made him the Beauty best friend, hero , family , working partner , mentor , confessor , brain and new love. He was her "everything" . She shared more screening time with him in 18 episodes than in 2 seasons with anybody else - Vincent included. At some point I was getting sick of Cat character too. I'm sorry but I'm not over that nonsense as much as I'm not totally over the Vinny/She-Beast mess but at least they get rid of that bimbo few episodes ago. Now everytime I see Gaberine together I can't forget about how fragile and unsteady Vincat relationship is and how easily people can manipulate and split them. Season 2 definitively changed my perception of Vincat . Their love story is still interesting because unconventional but not so epic after all. Let's hope in a G-free season 3. This one is done and gone and from spoilers still heavily packed with Gabe crap.
ReplyDeleteYou are really mirroring how I feel as well. I just think that with all the potential we have and talent in the writer's room, things could just be so different. You are so right that the Gabe character has basically stolen the show, on top of the loss of feeling for the epic love and VinCat together. I am not sure what I was thinking, but I honestly thought that after the whole destroying each person's character (but Gabe) and bringing the darkness to the forefront of each person, including Cat, then slowly having them back to each other, we would get VinCat like we had in season 1 again. Instead of trying to clear Vincent;s name, it seems the whole arc for the last part of the season, is the darkness of Gabe's character. What was successful in Season 1 and what made us build up the fanbase was VinCat, that amazing epic love feeling, and that has pretty well been destroyed in season 2 for many of us-not all I get that and some have loved this whole season. The writer's listened to the fans, against their better judgement, as they thought bringing them together in 114 was too soon, but it worked and fans got what they wanted. I don't want to be one of those fans who desperaetly are grasping at straws with the snippets of VinCat these episodes to give more time to Gabe. A better direction would have been to clear up loose ends, as at one time we, including writers, thought this was the end of the show. Because of the fans, we got a second season and a third season and I think we DESERVE better than what we are getting. And then to add insult to injury we are seeing these deja vu episodes. I mean come on, on what planet would a story where Cat would even agree to go on a fake date with Gabe to move the story along? and Then 221 is called Deja Vu and there will be a burning question that VinCat have to answer about t heir future? Trying to salvage season 2 by deja vuing season 1 is not the way to bring fans back and give us a good feeling for season 3. I wanted to be positive about the last 6 episodes as we waited long enough for them and have endured hell with this show this season, and yes there are some great interactions and scenes but not near enough of Vincat and I feel like that is what we all need. Stop having people interrupt their scenes, just let them happen and give us something to try and re-kindle that feeling we had when the show ended in season 1.
ReplyDeleteWell said!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I do want to clarify however, that it is not the writers' or the cast I am dissapointed in. We have amazing writers who have so much talent but they are being told what to do and what the gist of the episodes should be. With all due respect to Brad Kerns, who has had success in other shows, he is the one making the decisions and has the vision. I am sorry to say that IMO the biggest mistake Mark Pedowitz made was changing the guard from season 1 to season 2 and the best move he made was to put the show on hiatus because clearly the vision for the season did not catch on. For those who love it, great, but comments and ratings say otherwise and not because it was Monday night. When you look at how the fans have stuck around this season, sent flowers, spend money, tweeted their brains out, voted etc AND waited almost 3 months to get it back-any night any hour it would be watched. I may not be a TV writer, but I have taught writing for 25 years to adults and kids and the first thing you learn, is you have to have an audience and you have to listen to them. Obviously not in everything as there are so many things to consider in the TV world, but it was pretty evident that fans were not happy this year and now thinking that the just having Vincent and Cat together, back in love is enough. When the show shifted from the focus on VinCat, Jt, and Tess to Vincent , Catherine and Gabe that was a huge misstep. Yes,Sendhil is an amazing actor and a drawing card, but I thought the arc for the season was Vincent, then Catherine, then Vincent and Catherine. But it has been V, then C then Gabe as well as he being the forerunner of everything that has happened in season 2. Thinking the show had to be re-vamped and amped up was amistake as well-trying to get the male audience-all that did was drive more fans away. We have a season 3, when and how we are really unsure-our ratings should be improving but I fear the GABE-centricity of these last 6 is not going to bode well. When you read comments and lots of them that say they just FF through the GAbe scenes, that is almost most of the show. Mark, you need to bring Sherri and Jenn back as Executive Producers-IMO they made the show and they should have been the ones to continue it on!
ReplyDeleteThe show need new blood in the writers room and more consistent storylines. I think Sherri and Jennifer are done as Batb writers. To be honest the Kidnapped (that shove...) and the V.day episodes caused major damages to the serie and split the alredy small fandom. As far as Sendhil :He's an handsome man and seems a likeable person with a nice sense of humour but I don't think his acting skills are so great . Not in Batb. Not sure why but sometime his voice is unpleasant and squeaky like nails on a chalkboard.
ReplyDeleteI see your point but you also feel have to have some consistency. They tried some new writers this year and still are. Having too many writer Is bound to not make the story flow and be cohesive which happened all season. Part if the problem I see is every episode a new questions was presented and it takes weeks for anything to get resolved if at all and then new things are constantly added in. I am a firm believer in don't fix anything not broken so keep good consistent writers yes look for new talent but keep the good ones. I was disappointed in what Sherri and Jenn gave us in 213 but they are also being told what to do
ReplyDeleteSorry Sara cross meant I feel need consistency.
ReplyDeleteI agree, with you. Gabe was more exploited than Tess and JT - two most important characters he. Nothing against actor, but his character need go out.
ReplyDeleteAgree, WE DESERVE BETTER, and even a fake date will not be tolerated, not after all the screen time wasted on the Gabe character...
ReplyDeletePlease, listen to your fans!!!
We are definetly on the same page ;-)
