Entertainment One Television and IDW Entertainment are going to co-produce V-Wars, with Tim Schlattmann (Dexter, Smallville) set to write the pilot and executive produce.
The project, developed as direct-to-series, is the first from a recently struck first-look co-production agreement between the cross-border partners.
V-Wars is based on the IDW Publishing property written by Jonathan Maberry and portrays a world transformed by a catastrophic environmental event that releases a millennial-old virus.

V-Wars is set in a world transformed by a global pandemic caused by a millennial-old virus that, once triggered, affects individuals differently depending on their DNA. The result is vampires as unique as their cultures and a response from those unaffected humans like never seen before.
