  1. I'm actually surprised Damon didn't lose it and hurt Bonnie in that clip. That could actually be interpreted as progress. Now if he could only learn to stop threatening everyone around him with bodily harm every time things go bad then that would be some real progress.

  2. Damon's going to make me cry geesh..he's used to only hurting over Elena, and I don't think he ever excepted to lose Stefan for good. Poor Damon, seriously feel for him. That final facial expression says it all!:(

  3. A lot of this is Damon's fault to begin with. If he had killed Amara and destroyed the Other Side when he had the chance Markos would have never been able to come back and this could have all been avoided. I wish these characters would start accepting some responsibility for what's happened.

  4. I think that's unfair to put on Damon's shoulders. He didn't know a damn thing about Markos or a traveler plot to destroy magic when Amara was around. He was just trying to save Bonnie. No one could have predicted any of this at the time.

  5. First time I've ever seen Damon fall apart quite like that before. This is going to be interesting.

  6. I feel like Damon already is blaming himself for Stefan death. Its just his way of grieving which is to threaten people and go crazy breaking things hoping there is a solution. To me everybody is at fault, they didn't predict what is going to happen later will affect them that much. Nobody could have predict there was something else on the other side waiting to be freed to cause havoc on earth. Because of their own selfish reasons like bringing back Bonnie (Not only Damon wanted it) it happen.

  7. Surprisingly good sneak peek. If only the show gave Damon and Bonnie more scenes (or more for the secondary characters to do in general), they have good banter, or if only Damon showed more concern over his brother (and not referred to him as "your ex boyfriend" to Elena), maybe TVD wouldn't be the mess it is this season. But still a long way to go before it becomes a good show again. Spoilers indicate to more crap, like Damon and Elena's unbelievable/contrieved "relationship".

I hope they all recognize that people like Bonnie and Stefan are the ones who've ben having it bad, not Damon and Elena and their "crappy" days/year. Bonnie died and became the anchor, Stefan lost Elena and drowned for 3 months straight, and poor Damon, poor Elena? Give me a break.

  8. Awwwww!!!!! Damon!! I wish he would torture her. Sucked into a oblivion. Ugh, ya know if she would've said something earlier, none of this shit wouldn't have happened. (Yeah i said it. Not 100% but mostly) Instead of lying about it. Waiting til the last minute until Caroline irked it out of you.

  9. I know it wasn't all Damon. There's blame to go around. I just feel like they never think about the consequences of their actions. They were careless about digging up Silas to being with and didn't even stop to consider what kind of consequences there would be for doing something like that even though Kol tried to warn them.

  10. A round of applause for Ian, really convincing act, me likey. Kat played well along. The problem here Stefan should've died 2-3 weeks ago so we could feel a real impact bringing him back just 60 minutes later is a terrible idea, no matter what consequences that will have on him.
Got a feeling Kat will have a cameo from the new other side, no season final is a real final without Katherine.

  11. I been hoping for a while that these characters would start taking responsibility and admitting their part in all the crap that happens around them. For instance if Elena listened and stayed her behind home instead of walking her stupid, petty behind into a trap because she thought Stefan was sleeping with Tessa although she was screwing his brother all summer (who Stefan chose to to with is none of her concern and she had no right to judge or put in her two cents after betraying him with his brother who's just as bad.) and mess up everyone's plan to bring Bonnie back, she could of have been brought back as witch instead of the anchor and none of this would be happening now. I agree none of this could have been predicted but if better choices were made from the beginning instead of selfish petty ones Bonnie and the other-side wouldn't be in danger now and a lot of other unnecessary things wouldn't have gone down so agree with both Sara and you.

  12. I'm all for characters considering the consequences for their actions and paying the consequences for their actions but, in the example you give, I fail to see how anyone could have predicted the fallout from what they did.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I get what you're saying and I agree. These people have done tons of stupid things that have caused more dire problems for everyone down the road and many times the problems caused were foreseeable and preventable. If they would have stopped and thought about what they were about to do they could have saved everyone a lot of trouble but, in this particular instance, the trouble caused by their actions wasn't foreseeable and there isn't anyone to point fingers at.

  14. Bonnie was in denial and scared, she didn't want Jeremy to know the reality of losing her again so he lied about a spell. I admit she should have come clean sooner, but she doesn't deserve to be tortured especially by Damon who would rather blame her for everything instead of admitting if he pulled his head of Elena ass he could have been there for his brother and had been a better brother to Stefan period instead of letting Katherine get between them for centuries and now Elena, Stefan has been a better brother to Damon even though he didn't deserve it after every horrible, selfish, thing Damon's done to him.

  15. Katherine didn't go to the other side she couldn't pass through Bonnie so i don't think she's on the other-side.

  16. I don't see how Kol wanting to kill Matt for fun was any different than Damon killing Vicki and her friends for fun. They're all vampires and they all sometimes kill people for the hell of it and it was Rebekah who told Kol that she had brought Matt to the party to kill him so he just jumped on board with that.

I think Kol was being honest and was telling Elena stories about Silas that he had heard in hopes that they'd take a step back and think things though better.

    ReplyDelete
  17. They just should have accepted Elena as a vampire and not mess with the other side. Kol warned them. But Elena always comes first.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's different because they've had years to get to know Damon. Everyone knows what he's like and what to expect from him. Kol was literally a guy who just entered their lives and did nothing but wreaked havoc.

  19. I am so sick of Bonnie being blamed for everything. She isn't responsible for The Other Side falling apart. Damon isn't even angry about the supposed Liv spell. He's angry about the Resurrection Spell that was lost due to Maria being sucked into oblivion. How about you just admit that you hate Bonnie, and she can never do anything right in your eyes? Screw the fact that all the characters that you care about would be dead without her. Bonnie has more than enough leeway to lie once in a while when she has saved everyone's ass on this show after slowly losing all her family members to the drama of Mystic Falls.

  20. Bravo to Bonnie for being truthful and straightforward about the reality of finding 12 travelers willing to sacrifice themselves for supernatural vampires. For once they being told no way am I gonna risk myself for your loved ones. Bonnie's mom was killed and turned vampire for Elena. The list could go on and on. As Klaus once said, he is a monster for protecting his family but they are not monsters for protecting theirs. I am glad that Bonnie laid it out like that. I will be mad if she sacrifices herself so that Stefan can live. That would be so stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Kol warned them first. He didn't even try to kill them. And even when he had the opportunity he only wanted to cut Jerermy's arms off. Just silly to me how Mystic Fall gang can do whatever they want and be mad at everyone else for doing the same. Caroline would probably do some outrageous act to save Stefan. Very hypocritical characters. Love the show. I am glad Bonnie was brutally honest about their situation.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, Stefan and Damon have both pulled each other out of trouble when they needed to. I remember when Stefan was Ripper again, and Damon tried to calm Elena down by explaining that one of them goes off the rails once in a while for a couple of decades, and the other brother steps in like it's nothing because they're both used to it. They're immortal creatures and they have patterns.

I agree that Bonnie isn't really to blame for the problem escalating. It was established to begin with that there was nothing Bonnie could have done to save the Other Side and its inhabitants. Exchanging a life for a life might resurrect a couple of people, but that's it. The Other Side is going bye-bye and I'm pretty sure that everyone is getting taken away to be at peace because that's what Qetsiyah was trying to prevent when she created the Other Side. She was very selfish, only thinking about her revenge on Silas, and having dead people around to power up witches eventually led to a war. I'd like to know who the travelers were that killed Qetsiyah. It could have been Markos' tribe, or it could have been the Petrova family taking revenge for what she supposedly did to Amara. I don't know about Amara herself, but weren't the Petrovas supposed to be aristocrats or something?

  23. Wow, I just realize something. Perhaps Julian will help. He could be on some vendetta against Marcos. Maybe that is why they are gonna blow up the town to get the travelers to do the sacrifice without them knowing it. I am thinking Julian is gonna get involved. Just like when the Silia was resurrected. Sacrificing the people, the witches, the hybrids., Maybe blowing up and killing all the travelers will release their power and Julian can do his spell??

  24. I thought that the writers and producers made it clear that Katherine story ended and she won't be appearing anymore cause shes in another "dark place of no return"

    ReplyDelete
  25. I hope to God she doesn't. I'm so sick of Bonnie sacrificing herself for others. I want Bonnie to live a long life more than any other character on this show.

    ReplyDelete
  26. +1, Bonnie is the one who constantly puts everyone - mostly Elena - and their lives and well-being before her OWN life and well-being and happiness. Right now Bonnie is the one character who deserves to get out of Mystic Falls alive, move to the other side of the world and live a happy life in a supernatural-free environment.

  27. Her story isn't over! They said the door is open for a return but for the time being her story is finished. I know it's quite unlikely to happen, but a fan can hope.

  28. Julian will have to die anyway to A) be reunited with his girl and B) so Tyler can get his own body back after this traveler mess is over. So, I can see him helping out and sacrificing himself to assist the gang.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Kol already had a track record of terrorizing them at that point from his prior appearances. They had no reason to take Kol at his word. It's not like he had earned the trust of anyone on that show. Even his own sister Rebekah still perused the cure after Kol gave warning. If she wasn't willing to heed his warning, why would anyone else even consider it?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Umm, how is this Bonnie's fault?? It's not even partly her fault. She didn't make the Other Side fall apart. She didn't kill Stefan. She lied about there not being a way to save her OWN SELF because she is the most selfless character on this show and wanted to spare her boyfriend and friends the pain of waiting for her to die. Which initially had nothing to do with anyone else. Please tell me what her coming clean sooner would have done?? Would Stefan had avoided not dying? Would Enzo not have killed himself?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I wonder if turning Bonnie into a vampire might have a better shot of holding the other side together or maybe she would survive if she was a vampire. Amara was not a vampire but immortal yeah it drove her crazy but she was also encased in stone but she could not die with out the cure so it might work if Bonnie was immortal?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I didn't say she was responsible for it falling apart. But the fact that she knew all this time. And didn't bother to say anything and take action, makes it her fault. Ok she didn't want Jeremy to know. I get it. Cool. w/e. But she should've put that aside and told him, or anyone else sooner rather then NOW!! I mean really, how many freaking times did Grams have to show up and ask her for help?? She just sat there and gave up like she wasn't even trying. She seems sooo nonchalant about it. But nowww since Stefan is dead now she lost her only lead and she's running out of time to think of another. She needs to stop with her "Woe is me" bullshit, and get her head on straight. Pull herself together and get back in the game! Period! I've NEVER liked Bonnie. That's no secret. Not since the end of Season 1. BUT i don't blindly hate her. I give Bonnie credit when credit is due!! THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES!!

Yeahhh, let's talk about whose she's saved. She couldn't save her father, why?? B/c she was lying to everyone about her being Dead, bringing Jeremy in the lie to cover her ass. She didn't save Jeremy, he died right in front of her, and she didn't even know it til WAY later, then what happened?? Oh yeah right, she doesn't listen to her Grams and then gets herself killed in the process to resurrect him. (rolls eyes) I could go on and on about this. But i'm not. Now that pain in the ass Bonnie we saw that resurrected her boyfriend, THAT'S the Bonnie we need right now!! And i'm sick of her attitude that's she's had for weeks. Idk who this Bonnie is, but what i do know is that Bonnie is so stubborn to the point that she doesn't give up. And that's EXACTLY what she's doing. And btw, EVERYONE on this show has lost their family members!! Bonnie is NO exception.

  33. I thought of that too. Amara was made immortal before she was made the anchor, but if Bonnie gets turned while she's the anchor, her temporary death might be enough to destroy the Other Side while the vampire blood in her could keep her from going away with it. I have a feeling that Bonnie is going to survive, one way or another. Someone might find a way to save her, even if someone else has to die and Bonnie comes back as a full-blown witch again. Since she didn't answer to spirits and practiced Expression like her traveler ancestor, she wouldn't be without power.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah that's all great and all. But THIS whole situation is wayyy bigger than her and Jeremy right now, and she should've said something. Period. And i was being sarcastic with the whole tortured thing (kinda). I know Damon isn't made at her. that wasn't the point of my statement. It was the point, that she'd get motivated!! B/c she keeps saying "I can't i can't" before she even tried. It's frustrating. She doesn't have time for that shit.

And are you kidding me?? Damon has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND for Stefan. Sooo much more than Stefan has done for Damon. EVERYONE knows how he feels about Stefan. That's no freaking secret. And STEFAN was the one that went to Katherine. He's the one that started that rift between them. Not Damon. Damon is sooooo far from selfish it's not even funny. And this death that happened to Stefan is NOT Damon's fault AT ALL. And if you think otherwise, you're just an extreme Damon hater, and you have blind hatred for him.

  35. Damon is threatening Bonnie AGAIN?! If he doesn't die, I am going to be pissed. I don't care if his death is permanent, really. It probably should be though. I heard that Ian Somerhalder is in his mid-30s, too old to play an adolescent vampire. The other cast members aren't much younger, but I think Ian Somerhalder might be the oldest. If anyone sacrifices themselves to save Stefan, it will probably be Damon. We saw in the promo that he's planning to trigger the explosion himself to kill the Travelers, which means that he'll probably die anyway. Kat Graham said in an interview that deaths happen all the time on the show and what matters is what people do with those deaths. Damon might arrange for his death to be what brings Stefan back. I'm not sure what will happen with Elena, but while books and TV are two different formats and the show can probably go on without one member of the love triangle, it would be a bad idea to kill off Elena because she's THE main character. Unless there's some plot twist that will make Elena's death either irrelevant or part of a backstory that contributes to her character development. As long as either Stefan or Damon sticks around to keep one group of shippers interested, the show will be fine. From a video I saw of Bloodynightcon, it's a safe bet that Tyler will die, or disappear forever, I'm not sure. Michael Trevino talked like his character is done.

  36. First - FINALLY, Defan may be one sided here but if makes me happy to see Damon give SOME reaction! I was beginning to think they were strangers who just shared the last name!

Second - Does Stefan want to comeback to the living?
What does he have amongst the living, a blood addiction, his one true love settled with his brother, Baby sitting his brother after another DE breakup and being his exes emotional sounding board, he is about to lose his true friend to becoming a girl in love with him, no other purpose left, no other ambition.

What does he have amongst the dead, his one and only true kindred spirit Lexi. The only person I've seen, who in 5yrs of watching has managed to make him genuinely smile, laugh, be happy, be relaxed, be at peace.

If I was Stefan I'd stay put!

    ReplyDelete
  37. well, will ya look at that, nearly an entire minute and Elena's name never came up. i'm impressed!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Stefan made it clear that he wasn't ready to die when he asked Bonnie about her plan to save the Other Side. He had hope, and then Bonnie had to crush it by telling him that she lost the Traveler. What Stefan said to Elena about her relationship with Damon, and especially the conversation Stefan started about Caroline, proved that Stefan is interested in Caroline but hesitant to pursue a relationship with Elena's best friend. He seemed to be gauging Elena's reaction to his own feelings for Caroline. I think he got the point across to Elena without having to tell her straight out, "I want to do it with your bestie." Elena probably figured it out at about the time that she mumbled the word "pathetic," and her disappointment might have been partly why she kissed Damon in front of Stefan and said that she'd had a terrible day. I believe Stefan also told Elena to get back together with Damon because he wants Damon and Elena to be too happy to care if he gets together with Caroline. It would alleviate his guilt. I also think people misinterpreted the look on Stefan's face when Damon and Elena were reunited and then took off together. Stefan was glad to see his brother happy, and while Stefan loves Elena, he loves Damon just as much and he's accepted that Elena wants to be with Damon...for now. Something Stefan said while in the truck with the Traveler led me to believe that Stefan hopes for a future with Elena someday, possibly when Damon and Elena are inevitably ripped apart for some reason (something that Stefan can wait for because he isn't getting any older), but for now Stefan's feelings for Elena are on the back burner. Deep down, Elena might feel the same way about Stefan, but she won't act on it because she's with his brother.

So, no, I don't think Stefan wants to stay dead. He has not one or two, but three reasons to live.

    ReplyDelete
  39. When Bonnie told Stefan they was no hope, he didn't plead, he didn't rant or break down, he bravely touched her to pass through, meaning he accepted his fate.
As to the rest your interpretation of the conversation between Stefan and Elena is different from mine so I will respectfully disagree.
No I don't believe Stefan would want to come back.

    ReplyDelete
  40. This situation is definitely going to be about the brothers. The only way to bring Stefan back might be to kill the Travelers and/or Elena, but it's mostly going to be about what Damon is willing to do to save Stefan. Although I'm sure Damon and Elena will have at least one argument about it. An EP said that serious decisions will have to be made, and that would test the Delena relationship and real feelings will finally come out. I'm guessing the "adult conversations" come into play here, but it obviously won't be all about Delena. I'm relieved, too, to see more about the brothers because I'm not sure that they'll both make it. From the way Zach Roerig was talking in Brussels, it sounds like Matt won't make it. I don't want to start any rumors, though. It's probably best to wait until the episode airs and then see what happens. It's very easy to take out of context things that are said in interviews, even those on video.
