    What are the books like? I've finished the first one. I really enjoyed the start but it got a little draggy towards the end. Do you think the second one is any better?

    They aren't without their faults and some parts do drag but if you liked the first one you'll like the last 2, can't say much more since it's been a while since I read them but I'm actually gonna reread them before the series starts.

    If the writers/producers stay with the "sum" of the books the TV series should be great. The books are ultimately about "Evil, Courage, and Human Survival. Like the "Song of Fire and Ice" no one is safe (Main Characters/Lead Actors)..................NO ONE! And the vampires are monsters..............plain and simply monsters (Serial Killers meets Super Predators). Nobody, 4 NOW!!!

    Finally some vampires that are actually scary! Not ones that sparkle or want to kiss and romance you. Real scary vamps that want your blood and want to rip you head off.

    I'm really liking the use of the complementary colors yellor and blue. It emits a certain sense of urgency and danger.
