I'm with you. It's increasingly difficult to like Camille when she does boneheaded stuff like this. I understand her desire to protect people but giving people who are constantly working their own agendas and shifting their alliances access to a room full of the most dangerous crap in New Orleans is a terrible idea.
Because she wants to protect people she loves.Marcel is in danger,Josh also. The city is full of monsters and Marcel,Davina and Josh are her friends and she trusts them.
Don't start. I didn't say I didn't like Cami. In fact, I probably like her just as much as Hayley. I simply said that decisions like this make being a fan of the character difficult.
Well it looks they are gonna try and take Klaus's blood by force. Throwing a witch ninja star at him and then what Marcel gonna scoop it all up in gallon size jug and take it to Diego and his buddies? Really?? As if Klaus doesn't have enough on his plate. I imagine Davina is gonna hold Elijah down with a spell as they attack Klaus. How the heck is Marcel up and around? Klaus bit him. Davina either had a protection spell on him or he save Klaus' blood from the cup Thierry drank after he was bit by Klaus or since Marcel Blood is directly from Klaus perhaps it is acting like an immunization of some sort? Thoughts?
I have the same problem. I was happy that she didn't tell Marcel what she found out a few episode ago but now that's all shot to hell because she told him now. She's just so inconsistent and all over the place and it makes it hard for me to like her character because of that.
It has been a few hours. He was up and about in the last episode. He should sweating, lying on a table, and in pain, hallucinating, and dying. All the other vamps in the compound are dying. It doesn't make sense . The writers are up to something regarding that. Theories?
Inconsistency seems to be somewhat of an ongoing problem on this show. The writers need to fix that. Rebekah was the poster child for inconsistency during her tenure on this show. I think that's what made her exit so unsatisfying for me. They didn't send her off on a high note, they just screwed up her character. Now they're screwing with Cami too.
It looks Cami is going to heed Rebekah's advice about not crossing Klaus. Cami could be going in a lure to get Klaus off his guard so that Marcel could go and soak is blood in a gallon size jug(lol) so that Diego and the others can drink it. This of course after Davina chucks the witch ninja star. LOL
I agree. Rebekah's overall storyline made no sense. Klaus never asked Rebekah to come to NOLA or forced her to be there. He thought she was going to leave in 1x07 and didn't seem to have a problem with that (or her summer vacation in Europe with Matt) so she was living her own life and free to go wherever she wanted. Then Rebekah claimed that Klaus was controlling her entire life and forcing her to remain in NOLA and not allowing her to be happy which wasn't the case at all - because she could have left at any time and gone off to do her own thing. I think they've also been kind of inconsistent with Klaus & Elijah as well but it's not as bad as it was with Rebekah.
Marcel consistentaly wants to rule the city above all else and craves power & Hayley will do anything for the Crescent werewolves. They're the only two supporting characters who have a consistent goal but the rest of their characterization is a bit all over the place.
The frustrating thing is that even if Klaus finds out about Cami's betrayal she won't suffer any real consequences because he has a soft spot for her. It's the same reason Marcel isn't dead already.
He was like that on TVD as well so at least they have been consistent about that. He never killed the Mystic Falls gang even though they were plotting against him a lot of the time. He had lingering feelings for Stefan dating back to the 1920s and then once he took an interest in Caroline he pretty much let them get away with everything.
Agreed on all counts. One of the most frustrating, head-scratching moments of this first season was when Rebekah, who wanted nothing more than to get the hell out of NOLA, suddenly became all about 'girl power' and taking the city from her brothers to teach them a lesson. It's still just as senseless today as it was when it happened.
Klaus bit him and he went straight to the compound and then Cami came in. I don't really think any time has passed - I think we'll pick up right where we left off. When Rose was bit at night she was fine all night and it wasn't until the next day that she started to hallucinate. Damon was bit by Tyler and had it together that night running around while Klaus was breaking the hybrid curse and the next morning when he told Stefan about the werewolf bite he still seemed okay-ish - then later on in the day he started hallucinating.
Oh Cami... just... no! What made Kieran a good representative of the human fraction was because he kept things secret.
I get Marcel wanting to milk Klaus's blood to save his vampires, and yeah that's a good plan, but I feel it's redundant. I bet the "sacrifice" will be Klaus doing that all on his own accord...
Klaus as that way, wasn't he? Even when killed Kol he let Jeremy/Elena live. Elijah would not have been so forgiving. Kol was trying to stop the mystic fall gang from bring Silas back to life. He tried to warn them, but DAMON(who I love) and Stefan are so fixated on Elena that the end of the world did not matter. Even when poor Bonnie's mom had to die. It was a done deal because Elena had to come first. That is an entirely different subject. But yes, I agree with you. Most likely, Cami will be forgiven.
Another reason Klaus can be his own worst enemy. Someone can only screw you over so many times before you say 'enough.' Unfortunately, Klaus keeps letting Marcel come after him time and time again and all he gets is a beatdown, like he's smacking a dog's nose with a rolled-up newspaper or something. "Bad Marcel. Bad. You stop it."
No theories on that. Klaus was pretty weak at the end of the last episode. It probably wouldn't take much to track Klaus down, bite him back, and cure himself.
I hope you are right. Otherwise if Marcel was immune to werewolf bite; he would constantly be going up against Klaus. It would be annoying, because the only alternative would be for Klaus to just yank his heart out, which he won't anyway.
I know huh? Well the decision is supposed to be heartbreaking. I just don't see Klaus giving blood as heartbreaking decision. It is something else. The baby may die it order to save Elijah and Hayley? I don't know? Someone has to be sacrificed, so if the witches give up the baby then someone else has gotto pay the price.
You are right, it's an inconsistency because earlier on the episode when Klaus bit Josh he felt sick right away and Klaus said to Davina he'd live 24 hours or so but he was looking pretty bad. The same goes for Marcel's vampires, they were bitten by the wolves so they are all lying on the floor dying. However, Marcel was bitten at the same time by Klaus and yet, unlike the other vampires, he enters the room feeling great like nothing ever happened.
I like that about Klaus though. It would probably be hard for anyone to kill their own "son". Especially when he doesn't want to become his father. If you had a son who betrayed you like that, would you be able to so easily kill him? Especially if you can relate to your son strongly? Those feelings would only be magnified as a vampire. Especially after spending a life time with him raising him.
I know, huh? I am thinking maybe the sacrifice will be either Elijah/Hayley or the baby. The witches like to give choices. Remember how they offered Elijah a choice either save Hayley or his family. I imagine they are gonna offer Klaus some sort of deal like that. He is gonna to choose Hayley and Elijah. And after kill the witches involved in it. Maybe?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Yeah,it's difficult for you to like Camille when you like Hayley...!
ReplyDeleteI got it.
Don't start. I didn't say I didn't like Cami. In fact, I probably like her just as much as Hayley. I simply said that decisions like this make being a fan of the character difficult.
ReplyDeleteIf her uncle didn't want Marcel to know; then why would Cami think that she share this with Marcel.
ReplyDeleteOkay how is Marcel walking around after his werewolf bite? Any thoughts? Theories?

ReplyDeleteI think it takes a few hours for the hallucinations to really set in judging by what we saw when Rose & Damon got bitten in Season 2 of TVD.
ReplyDeleteThen that was a dumb move on her part because Marcel obviously has his own agenda and has never been fully truthful with her.
