:O now i wanna watch it!
ReplyDeleteLooks very interesting!
ReplyDeleteLoving it. Though I'm hoping this writing won't be used for the title card. I'm sick of CW title cards.
ReplyDeleteNow I ca't wait for fall, they look awesome.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is the promo art for both The Messengers and iZombie
ReplyDeleteWell, The Messengers looks awesome! iZombie, er... I'll give the show a shot.
ReplyDeleteThe one for the Messengers is ahmahzin!
ReplyDeleteJane The Virgin just doesn't fit here... it has a Emily Owens vibe
ReplyDeleteThe iZombie image looks like a modern/TV take on one of the comic book covers. Instead of a spoon though she has chopsticks. I like how they kept the brains looking like spaghetti too. The comic sometimes portrays the brains looking like pink spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteOut of the new CW shows I'll be watching The Messengers for sure, maybe the Flash and perhaps iZombie. Jane the Virgin can go bleep herself.
ReplyDeleteiZombie looks great !
ReplyDeleteExactly the same for me! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope it's as Ugly Betty-ish as it looks and sounds like it will be. I think it's gonna be really funny.
ReplyDeleteMe too I'll just need to make sure I eat beforehand...
ReplyDeletei'm sure it's ging to be on Mondays and be there to bleed. But i kind of wanna watch too see how funny it is.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not a big comic fan, but I loved Smallville and I love Arrow, so I should probably upgrade The Flash to a probable haha. Maybe I am a comic fan. But man I was rooting for The Messengers when they first announced that it was going to Pilot. That and Constantine (again, another comic haha) are the only Fall shows so far that I'm excited for.
ReplyDeleteThe promo art for The Messengers looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I like the iZombie art though. I hope she doesn't look like that for the show, b/c she doesn't look normal, and would stand out, which would make keeping her zombie secret really hard. At the very least, she looks like a junkie.
I'm looking forward to The Messengers and iZombie.
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin sounds tragic.
all 3 look pretty good, especially the messengers,
ReplyDeleteI never liked Smallville and i've lost interest in Arrow. Im looking forward to Constantine as well! I was looking forward to The Messengers since I first heard about it, hopefully it isnt a letdown :)
ReplyDeleteI she will look this way when she is without brains for longer time.
ReplyDeleteThe promo for it looks pretty good. Hopefully we will get a similar one for Shantel van whatshername that is in it.
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin looks like it has a comedy vibe to it.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a reference to the comic. In the comic her skin is purple, but to regular humans she looks normal. Only other supernatural beings can see that difference (except when she loses herself to her zombie side).
ReplyDeleteGood stuff for the Messengers and iZombie.
ReplyDeleteWith that premise it surely can't be a serious show right?
ReplyDeleteHoly crap!
ReplyDeleteThe iZombie actress photo looks exactly like an ex of mine... That is more scary to me than the idea of brain-eaters!
I can't decide if I need to watch iZombie or try to avoid seeing anything more of it... XD
That would make more sense to me, that she'd only look this way if deprived of brains. But once she eats the brains, I hope she looks more "normal".
ReplyDeleteThe CW has built a schedule that's heavy on sci-fi/fantasy and those shows are typically pricier to make. CW needs a few shows like Jane the Virgin, Emily Owens, Hart of Dixie, Life Unexpected etc. that are cheaper to produce. The show may not be everyone's cup of tea but there's a sizable upside for the network if the show catches on.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know this was based on a comic book story. Actually, I don't know much else except for the premise and actors starring in it. Thanks for the info.!
ReplyDeleteWhat you just posted, would be great, if they do that for the show. It makes sense, and sounds actually cool, that her zombie side can be seen by other supernatural beings, while still allowing her to look normal and coexist with regular humans. I'd be interested if they opened the show up to other supernatural beings existing too.
I'll definitely check out The Messengers and iZombie for sure. As well as The Flash because Arrow is super awesome.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's her xD
ReplyDeleteWell, she does enjoy destroying people's souls...
ReplyDeleteNo, no.... cannot be her! XD
Waiting for Key Art for The Flash.
ReplyDeleteThe comic it's based on is really good. However the TV show is more an adaption. (She still gets memories and such, but she works as a gravedigger. She also has 2 close friends, a Ghost from the 1960's and a Were-terrier. Also her name in the comics is Gwen, not Liv)
ReplyDeleteThe main thing I hope they keep in though is the oversoul concept. Wikipedia has an explanation of the concept in the 3rd paragraph: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IZOMBIE
Oh they look awful.
ReplyDeleteMessengers and iZombie awesome, Jane "blahhh"' :D
ReplyDeletehttp://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sbV9AXQ9zJ8/U21UmKqUITI/AAAAAAAAV4o/38lcsCgxosY/s1600/FLASH.png
ReplyDeleteAH! <3
ReplyDeleteWell from the initial press release it was pretty obvious it was a dramedy rather than drama. Glad the artwork is appropriately light as well.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash is up also! Eeeepp! Can't wait! I'm probably going to love it more than Arrow. I just know it.
ReplyDeleteLOL I was thinking how the iZombie girl looks just like an old co-worker of mine.
ReplyDeleteWow, there's a lot of rich story and concepts for this show already! I'm looking forward to the promos for this show. I hope they make a good show, and that it's not too "CW" in the teen drama stuff.
ReplyDeleteNice posters.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the pictures are now showing despite adblock, without opening a new page! Yah!
Level of excitement for these:
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers (Deadline called it sci-fi but I'm really hoping it's supernatural/fantasy)
iZombie
Jane the Virgin (would be second if iZombie wasn't from Rob Thomas)
The Flash (meh)
Well.. The Messengers... nice a... I mean... art... XD
ReplyDeletethe messengers-looks awesome.Nude art-shocker!!
ReplyDeleteI hope it won't be like The 100 (I couldn't pass the pilot).
ReplyDeleteHe shoulda fallen on his back. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteDon't lke The Flash one a lot. I will definitly be watching though
ReplyDeleteI will be watching The Flash but I'm not a fan of this art.
ReplyDeleteOmg!!! They characterize her (is it the correct term in english?) lime she is in the comic!!!!! I cant wait for iZombie!!!!! And Flash! :3
ReplyDeleteAre you a fan of the comic? Glad I'm not the only one who read it! Did you read it? XD
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers poster looks really cool, I'm now officially curious. Still not feeling The Flash
ReplyDeleteYeah, around the time it was ordered to pilot I picked them up. I loved it :)
ReplyDeleteThe Flash... kind of looks like he is wearing lipstick.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers looks interesting.
I was thinking the exact same thing! This really looks like it has the potential to be a new Ugly Betty..!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I kinda liked everything, that's surprising.
ReplyDeleteAbout Messengers: FIRST MESSENGE RECIEVED. HANDSOME MESSENGE. YES.
IZombie is created by Rob Thomas (aka the creator of Veronica Mars) and based on a DC comic. Enough said.
ReplyDeleteObviously a must-watch. I will also watch The Flash, because I love Barry in the comics and Grant Gustin is a pretty great guy. The Messengers also seems pretty cool, and I will watch the first episode of Jane the Virgin, just so I can judge if it was worth the pick up.
Also, Yael Grobglas is in that show and was also in one of my most anticipated pilots last year that wasn't picked up so yay for her!
Definitely checking out all four. I think Flash and The Messengers will be keepers, not sure about the others yet.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteThey all look so cool! even Jane's...
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely watching Messengers and Izombie
ReplyDeletenot really feeling Flash
and Jane's does look good, maybe I'll watch the pilot just to laugh at it (even though I don't like the premise or the cast)
Good posters, I like the font for the Messengers, gonna go replicate it, unless someone know where I can find it, most likely I'll be faster.
ReplyDeleteFor now watch em all ,but IDK whats JtV is about.
Okay, now I wanna watch all of these shows!
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers and iZombie key arts are gorgeous. The Flash one is pretty good too.
ReplyDeletecenters on Jane, a hardworking religious girl who, due to a series of outrageous events, is accidentally artificially inseminated.
ReplyDeleteWtf really lol I know I'll watch ep 1 for sure now.
ReplyDeleteThese look really good! I wonder where they will slot Jane The Virgin, though...
ReplyDeleteThere are no teens in iZombie. Everybody is in their twenties or thirties.
ReplyDeleteAll look great. It seems they finaly hired a decent graphic designer at the CW.
ReplyDeleteI want the Batman to
ReplyDeleteFlash will be amazing
iZombie seems promising. Hopefully the CW doesn't screw it up. Their influence is the worst thing about Arrow.
ReplyDeleteIf you guys have heard of Aliados, I feel like the plotline is a little similar, just with a little differences, with Aliados, 6 unrelated teenagers that die on the same day are chosen to be the saviors of humanity if they can change their ways in 105 days with help from their allies(Aliados), you guys should check it out, its really good, but subtitles are only up to 14.
ReplyDeleteAnd with the messengers plot, these 6 strangers die on the same day, and are chosen to prevent the apocalypse, I am so excited because it is something related to Aliados, I was always complaining why does Americans not create good shows, but this messenger pilot has changed my minds on American tv, I hope this show survives for many seasons.
All of them looks amazing , even better than i expected. Now im pretty sure JtV is here to replace HOD. Going to watch them all.
ReplyDeleteNever Say That Never.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash - as a fan of anything super, I will love it.
ReplyDeleteIZombie - Seems interesting, and seems like she might be the only Zombie, if so then the cases and the cast will have to be really good.
Jane the Virgin - After thinking about, for now this is a hit or a miss.
The Messengers - Looks really promising, But when I read impending Apocalypse, I see angels and demons, if so this will need to have some super element, why else kill the random strangers... (Also that poster reminds be both of John Doe, and Kyle X/Y, if it and a similar plot, I'ld be extra interested as neither of those were able to fully complete ).
The Flash: AWESOME! Cannot wait for this show.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers: Apocalypse and demons? I'm in
iZombie: LOOKS FRIGGIN AMAZING! Probably the one I am most looking forward to
Jane the Virgin: It is not my cup of tea, but it sounds quite funny.
(In order of best to worst promo art, NOT synopsis or show)
iZombie
The Flash
The Messengers
Jane the Virgin
The Flash and The Messengers are going to be absolutely must watch. iZombie actually looks really intriguing and if, like the others have suggested, Jane the Virgin turns out to be anything like Ugly Betty ... then I'm ALL IN!
ReplyDeleteFor me only The Flash and The Messengers sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch The Messengers and maybe iZombie because of Rose McIver.
ReplyDeleteThe soap opera it's based on was pretty serios. -_-
ReplyDeleteThe soap opera it's based on was pretty serious. -_-
ReplyDeleteThe last latin telenovela remake I saw was "Ugly Betty" and I really liked that one; If it was even close to that sensibilities/mood, I would watch. But what are the chances of that?
ReplyDeleteI liked the Original "Yo Soy Betty la Fea" but didn't like "Juana la Virgen" at all; It is just such a convoluted premise; the only chance of success in my opinion is if they don't take themselves too serious and go for the dramedy route-
Since i am so excited for all 4 of them, i am curious to see what (probably) 3 will premiere in fall. I hope iZombie wont be the midseason show. I think Messengers will be midseason
ReplyDeleteI guess this MAY be the first time (apart from some SC randow watches last weeks) I could take a serious look to some CW shows ...
ReplyDeletethe messengers logo totally a rip off of "john doe"
ReplyDeletei will be checking out the messengers and flash thats it for me.atlast cw is attracting some male viewers.jane the virgin looks like a fish out of the pond and i m gonna wait and see how izombie turns out
ReplyDeleteizombie maybe the first huge risk cw has taken for a while .brains eating on the nw show a huge risk .
ReplyDeleteHere for The Messengers, but whoa at iZombie. So is she the TV version of Warm Bodies zombies? Is that's what's happening here?
ReplyDeleteI think I'll give iZombie a shot. The other ones ... don't think so.
ReplyDeleteThe poster for iZombie is bad, though.
Jane the Virgin is sounding better and better each day... >.>
ReplyDeleteI heard it's similar to Tru Calling.
ReplyDeletethe flash and the messengers-must watch for me.Jane the virgin-nope.iZombie-depends on the pilot.I think the messengers will be on-air after BatB ends it's 13 episodes run and jane the virgin will replace HoD.Izombie will get the post-TVD slot and Flash will be on mondays with supernatural/tuesdays with TO.They will never put Arrow and flash together IMO.
ReplyDeletePoster for iZombie is perfect but why did they put spicy sauce there? It looks wierd
ReplyDeleteI think so too, still the least interesting out of those 4 but i am looking forward to watch them all
ReplyDeleteIn the comics, Gwen (now Liv) can't stand the taste of brains. So she dilutes it with something else.
ReplyDeleteYou're selling me on iZombie more than The CW is haha
ReplyDeleteHaha :)
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteSince you read the comix, can i ask you if there are always only new cases she solves or is there a back story that will be big part of the show? for example will we see another zombies too?
The Messengers sound now even more intruiging. And with Shantel playing lead I'm bound to watch it. I believe it will be a limitied series maybe exchanging with the 100 in spring.
ReplyDeleteiZombie is seems good as well and it success depends on the writers team they need to keep it interesting.
Flash is an Obligatory watch.
I thought the premise of Warm Bodies was a teenage zombie that becomes more human due to his love for a girl. iZombie sounds like a young woman who is trying to keep from becoming a full on zombie.
ReplyDeleteI love the poster for The Messenger, it's so different from what The CW usually does, I hope it translates to a good show. I'll check it out for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably check out Jane the Virgin too, just out of curiosity, I'm dying to know how a girl can accidently end up artificially inseminated.
The Flash is a sure thing for me. I love Grant and I need a new Smallville in my life, so I'm in.
The Messengers' poster looks awesome, but something tells me that the show will end up looking like Star-Crossed.
ReplyDeleteExcited for The Flash, will watch iZombie and check it out…don't even care about Jane the Virgin.
Well, they sound similar.
ReplyDeleteThe show and the comic don't seem to be following the same formula unfortunately. While some elements are the same, arguably the core of it has changed.
ReplyDeleteIn the comics Gwen works as a Gravedigger to get access to brains. She pretty much keeps to herself other then her 2 friends (a female Ghost and a Gay Were-Terrier). She gets memories from the brains she eats but isn't that interested in solving cases. It's treated more like voices that haunt her and how they take their toll on her. She constantly tries to keep her humanity, but how far can she be pushed until losing herself to that Zombie side?
Their are other supernatural creatures in the comics though which I hope the show touches on. It uses the oversoul concept (3rd Paragraph: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IZOMBIE ) to explain the other creatures. But pretty much the show version sounds like a mash up of Veronica Mars and iZombie.
I'm sure The Flash will end up being better than Smallville.
ReplyDeleteMy point was that they come from the opposite side of the spectrum between human and zombie. Warm Bodies the zombie becomes more human, iZombie she is trying to stay as close to human as possible.
ReplyDeletethat's a bit of over-exaggeration.it lasted 10 years and the flash hasn't even started yet.remember what everyone said about TTP last year and it ended up getting cancelled sadly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I hope there will be episodes focusing on her story and not always solving cases like in all detective shows
ReplyDeleteAnd for those who are angry about JtV : I prefer supernatural shows by far too, but CW has been teen show for a long time so it shouldnt be surprise that they ordered this show, especially since TCD is cancelled and HOD will be probably cancelled next year too, only Reign is not supernatural and in my option it is not teen show, since Reign is much more mature than i expected it to be
ReplyDeleteBy that blurb, Jane the Virgin definitely sounds like a dramedy.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it would be a mistake for the CW to only do genre shows, but I am not sure that Jane The Virgin is a teen show, the lead character is 23 years old.
ReplyDeleteDepends on what you call quality television, in which case, Smallville was not after its fourth season. One can bring up a series being on for a decade, but that doesn't mean anything on the quality of the series.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I for one never cared about The Tomorrow People, lol.
Predictions: Jane gets pregnant in the season (or mid-season) finale.
ReplyDeleteI think The Messengers can be really good.
ReplyDeleteI think she will be pregnant since the pilot. The show is about her pregnancy so what would be the first half of season about?
ReplyDeleteNot at all serious and over the top would be the way to go. UB was always hilarious when it made fun of telenovelas and their sensibility. And the plot is so unlikely it makes me think they'll take a funny/ironic approach to it.
ReplyDeleteMe neither. To be fair I'm pretty ignorant about the Flash but what I do know about him, I just can't feel any excitement at all over it. I'll of course give the show a chance but a fast man, oh goodie? So he can clean as fast as a True Blood vampire lol. I feel there are way more interesting heroes they could have gone with.
ReplyDeletei disagree, smallville season 10 was one of the best final season IMO.The flash can can very well end up being one of the best series or can end up short of high expectations.Until this fall,no one can for sure, that's what i'm saying. So,we'll agree to disagree.
ReplyDeleteI hated season ten. Not only did it ruin what could have been a great Superman moment of Clark finally donning the suit, but it ruined Darkseid, it ruined what could have been with the season being the "swan song" of the series and everything felt so rushed as if they didn't both in setting up the ending until season ten. That is why I think The Flash will end up being better because I find Arrow to even be better than SV's first four seasons(the seasons that I love).
ReplyDeleteThe show actually got a lot better after the first 3 episodes.
ReplyDeleteThe show is about her loosing her viginity; I think? I don't really now. Maybe she will be a virgin till the season finale.
ReplyDeleteNo, she gets accidentally artificially inseminated.
ReplyDeleteWTH?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the answer
Yea, exactly what I thought when I first heard about the show. The is a pun on "Virgin Mary" apparently *shakes head*.
ReplyDeleteSounds like so. And it is based on a Venezuelan telenovela, so that confirms it.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about Flash but worried too. Super speed is a great power but makes for some short fights.
ReplyDeleteOfficially they consider it a horror/thriller and I'd agree with that. But it does change to a comedic tone at times.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've heard, the title is a pun on one of the recurring jokes in the original version.
ReplyDeleteSome religious people think she's the Virgin Mary reincarnate and she has to deal with both scorn and fanatics in her daily life.
Thanks. Read your wiki link, gonna check this out!
ReplyDeleteI think I might actually sample Jane the Virgin just to find out in what ridiculous and convoluted way she gets herself pregnant.
ReplyDeleteAliados is one of the worst telenovelas I have watched in my life. The plot makes no sense and it's incredible cheesy even for telenovelas standards. Also the voice overs every five minutes were incredible annoying.
ReplyDeleteThey said The Flash and iZombie will air in the fall.
ReplyDeleteFrom this the only one I am interested in is iZombie. The Messengers sounds awful but I'll give it a try. I thought Star Crossed would be awful from the promos the CW did but I actually ended up loving it.
ReplyDeleteOh man! When I was 6 I watched 'Juana the virgin' with my grandmom every evening and it was utterly ridiculous like every other telenovela:)))
ReplyDeleteFirst the 16 year old was accidentaly artificially inseminated, than the other girl who was actually supposed to be inseminated lost the baby , the baby father smh found Juana, but didn't tell her he was a baby daddy, they slowly became friends, fell in love and so on for hundreds of eps. He also had a wife who, of course, was a total bitch.
This will be fun, lol.
they made Messengers a midseason show? I can't figure out if they're marking it for death or giving it a chance..it could just be that they had no where else to put it.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA that was great. it was even better than i thought it was gonna be. thanks! so ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. This is that show. We had a hindi version of it in India. It was awful and hard to watch. I can't believe they took this up and dropped TTP.
ReplyDeleteFlash and iZombie for me. I will try out messengers too. Will stay far far away from Jane the virgin.
ReplyDeleteWhich one?
ReplyDeleteIt was called ek ladki anjaani si on Sony TV aired 2005 to 2007. Are you from India?
ReplyDeleteOh no, but we get a lot of Indian channels here. Haven't heard of the show.
ReplyDeleteSame, I am intrigued about that.
ReplyDeleteFor that same reason, I will be checking out the pilot of Jane the Virgin.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know for sure, yet.
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too, But only to see how she ends up getting "accidentally artificially inseminated".
ReplyDeleteOh my God i've actually seen parts of that show-it was terrible.
ReplyDeleteI know right. It was horrible. I don't understand why some one would want to make such a show?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad indian shows have gotten better. and I don't know..it went on for years right? isn't that good? guess people must've liked it...?
ReplyDeletei'm from india and i watched it back then.it was horrible IMO.
ReplyDeletein india, most of the shows run for years.Balika vadhu is running for 6+ years now.It doesn't mean anything.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers - Hell yes!
ReplyDeleteThe Flash - Meh
Pass on the other two.
iZombie is by the Veronica Mars team, so it might be worth taking a look at.
ReplyDeleteI never watched Veronica Mars :P Definitely not my type of show!
ReplyDeleteahh, yeah, i've heard of that. it makes it kind of annoying to catch up so the few i do watch i catch upto in the summer xD cause it airs EVERY DAY. Except weekends, and special events and whatnot.
ReplyDeleteI feel like iZombie could be that unintentional comedy show that no one takes seriously.
ReplyDeleteIt was horrible. The leads were pathetic. Did not have any chemistry and the story was so convoluted it was annoying. I hope CW will bring some huge changes to the script and bring some comedy into it instead of making it the weepy mess it was in India. LOL.
ReplyDeleteIt just ran for 2 years max. which in 2005 was a small run. During those years every show used to last minimum 4 to 5 years. If I remember correctly this show did not have good ratings.
ReplyDeletereally? lol well i can see why it didn't! most of the shows ive seen so far end in about two to three years. But i only started watching around 2011. Before that it was just when my grandma would put them on lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking something like Procedural+Comedy+Thriller.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers....Looks cool....
ReplyDeleteBut i sense a blasphemic back-lash.
Can we see the trailer for iZombie already? Me want some brains! :D
ReplyDeleteWow...and that is a sarcastic "wow"...with the exception of The Flash, these all sound absolute drivel!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe they cancelled Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People for these!
REALLY?!
