One thing that really sticks out in The Flash footage we’ve seen so far is that, unlike in some other recent DC Comics adaptations, Barry seems truly thrilled to become a superhero. When I asked Gustin if that enthusiasm extends to the actor playing the role, he replied, “Barry’s just excited by all of this. He’s a fanboy! And I don’t have to hide my excitement as I play the role, so it’s really fun to play with.”
While Barry is excited by his abilities, Gustin noted, “At the same time though, it’s in a reality-based world, so there is an aspect of him that’s a little worried about what’s happening to his body. But at the same time, once he starts to get a handle on it, it’s the coolest thing that’s happened to anybody, as far as Barry is concerned.”
As for The Flash keeping a secret identity and whether Barry will need to make sure no one knows who he is, Gustin explained, “We’re not going to play the same game that they played on Arrow, where it was a secret. There will be some characters that Barry’s specifically trying to keep it from, but his circle – for the most part – is going to know that he’s The Flash.”

I can't wait for the show, I really liked the promo, I like that for the most part it's not a secret and that Barry enjoys his new-found powers.

it's going to suck and hurt soooo much when caitlin becomes killer frost since i kind of ship her with barry but i still can't for the show
ReplyDeleteHow could you ship them the show hasn't even premiered yet? Even if you saw the pilot, I still don't get it given how her character's fiancée is dead, Barry's love interest will be Iris West and there is no hint of any romantic tension between them in any promo.
ReplyDeleteI really like it is going to be different from arrow. It looks like a fun lighter show. I couldn't deal with one more superhero right now with man pain. No one can beat Oliver Queen on guilt. I think writers learned their lesson from Arrow. They realized characters become interesting once they are in on hero's secret and help him in his quest unless you are a villain.
