After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only "meta-human" who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion -- and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become...The Flash.

hmmm the bit with Flash fighting against (and assuming alongside) other meta humans created from the same event that gave him powers remind me of the plot of the older animated series, "Static Shock".... I'm curious if they will be trying to fold some of that lore/characters into the show since it is a DCU property as well.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait. :)
ReplyDeleteI liked that show.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting Cisco Ramon (aka Vibe) in The Flash so we could potentially get Static. They have teamed up a few times in the past.
ReplyDeleteThe early The Flash show with John W Schipp? Yeah it wasnt bad.
ReplyDelete"Crime Scene Investigator Investigator Barry Allen" Hah. Way to proof, CW.
ReplyDeleteNo, I am talking about Static Shock, the animated series/.
ReplyDeleteCSI can be Investigator (as in the individual or person) or Investigations (as in the unit/department)... even CSI (the show) uses the same abbreviation for both at times or refer to someone as a CSI tech etc. It is pretty poor regardless.... ie Crime Scene Investigations Investigator is almost as bad though technically not incorrect.
ReplyDeleteI hope this show turns out well, I'm really cheering for it. Just I hope they have no friggin love triangles etc.
ReplyDeleteThey obviously will, it's The CW, after all.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like some people already know that Barry is The Flash right off the bat. That could be interesting and a bit of a change from Arrow. Bring on the meta heroes and villains!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who will learn his secret.....could be someone close to him
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it's either Iris or her dad, but if he's working with S.T.A.R labs on this, it could be Cisco and Caitlin.
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about The Flash comics or story, besides he his the fastest man, can sometimes travel in time. But yea If I was like him I would never allow myself to work for anyone, again I don't know if he does or not, just saying that's how I would be
ReplyDelete.
Besides that view point of mine, I am really exited to see the show, As I haven't seen or read anything related to The Flash everything will be new and cool to me.
5 weeks without internet... I missed a lot xD
ReplyDeleteI really like the premise, especially the fact that while in the Arrow universe we will likely see only the odd metahuman, and likely only in crossovers
