Update: 18:40 Here is a Sneak Peek from Jane the Virgin
Update: 18:00 Here is the Sizzle Reel
More will be posted if/when they are released
The Flash - Promo - New Name
The Flash Extended Promo
Jane the Virgin - Promo - Promise
Looks like they aren't releasing promos for the midseason shows to the public.
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't they sue her for that?
ReplyDeleteThe Flash looks really good! I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteFlash is more than amazing! Just to many people know about him right of. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash looks amazing , definitely on my watch list.
ReplyDeleteoh man... more of those ridiculous "MY NAME IS...." expository openings. Seriously. Only young children and really stupid people should need to have a plot explained to them at the beginning of a show.
ReplyDeleteWhat a long promo for The Flash, i felt like the whole pilot was there.
ReplyDeleteJane The Virgin doesnt look that bad.
"Lightning gave me abs?" XD Weather Man! Ferris Air! Yup, The Flash is my most anticipated new fall show.
ReplyDeleteThese two are not my thing.
ReplyDeleteOnly watching the flash pilot and see if its any good
ReplyDeleteLoved the Flash trailer.
ReplyDeleteNOW I'm in !
btw. the effects for The Flash are WAY over theCWs normal budget, I'm 100% sure DC pushed some extra money in there ;)
loved the effect for Oliver btw. the way he swung out is a bit more comic-y than Arrow usually is.
My guess: Flash and Arrow will talk of each other like being in the same universe but their rules won't apply to the other. Meta-humans stay stictly on Flash while Arrow will remain grounded and not once mention Metas
btw. Slade and Merlyn need to show up in Central City at least once.
Mandatory
What you mean?
ReplyDeleteFlash Short promo: I knew they would include some form of "My name is Barry Allen..."
ReplyDeleteFlash Long promo: I saw Professor Zoom! Also "I need you to urinate in this"...why do I see that catching on?
Adding more as i watch
got to admit: I hated the idea for the pilot. Disliked the lead and most things around it. But that promo turned me completely around.
ReplyDeleteCheesy acting doesen't matter in a universe that seems to have a lighter approach than Arrow does !
Unbelievable. Thank you Flash extended promo shows the show's potential and it is a big one.
ReplyDeleteFirst season in years where im not particularly excited about a new CW Fall series they are both not bad and will watch the pilots but not excited
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin looks cute, but I can't really see it being a success. Then again, it may surprise us and be a steady hit (a la Hart of Dixie).
ReplyDeleteReally hope they release the trailers for iZombie and The Messengers.
"Who is this again"
ReplyDelete*from the TV screen* "My name is Barry Allen"
"Ooooohhhhhh....wait I don't get it, who was that ?"
Messengers and iZombie are midseason shows and don't have promos released (yet).
ReplyDeleteI think they'll release them later
Now THAT was an awesome trailer for The Flash!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to iZombie so I am a bit disappointed. The Flash promo is awesome though.
ReplyDeleteThat would be quite awful, hopefully cw changes their minds.
ReplyDeleteSo he is both Clark Kent and Chloe Sullivan? XD
ReplyDeleteThe first promo was kinda fun, but left me unsure... This promo removed those fears. Wow!
Yeah :) The Flash looks way more fun then Arrow. I like the idea of having 2 different shows in the same universe with different tones. The lighter Flash episodes can help balance out some of the darker Arrow episodes.
ReplyDeleteFrom a structure and production standpoint, the extended Flash trailer is the best upfront trailer I've seen this year.
ReplyDeleteIS there any source or you are only thinking this because the are not out yet?
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteIt really ticked all the boxes.
arrow is spider-man ????
ReplyDeleteMalpractice suits and dramedies don't mix?
ReplyDeleteThere are some peaks of The Flash, Jane the Virgin and iZombie in the CW Frist Look video as well as shots of th veteran shows on the network.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQlzxscVvKw
They released stuff for Star-Crossed for upfronts last year and that was a mid-season entry so I say there's a chance we could see something from this year's batch as well.
ReplyDeleteis it me or that flash promo seems more a videogame than a tv series?!
ReplyDeleteThere were a few seconds of blink-and-you-miss-it Messengers footage as well.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash looks great! I´m in. Also, I´m happy that Oliver is in the pilot.
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin - not for me - at all.
Flash looked good, but it bordered on early season Smallville territory for me in the trailer. Now I will just wait patiently for the Messengers and iZombie trailers.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I ever enjoyed one of those was on Castle.
ReplyDeleteit looks amazing. I don't know how the hell CW affords half of what it does for Arrow and now The Flash.
ReplyDeleteUp until now, no etwork has.
ReplyDeleteABC released trailers for their midseason shows.
ReplyDeleteJTV sounds like a Lifetime movie or limited series. I'm mean after she has the kid, then what? She tries to lose her "virginity" after that. Tough sell and will DEFINITELY tilt to 95%+ female.
ReplyDeletetrue, maybe later this day
ReplyDeleteTo echo the crowd, "The Flash" looks great. Eagerly awaiting the "iZombie" preview.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who thought that sizzle reel was really horrible? I usually love their sizzle promos, but this one was .. not great in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe flash looks awesome.....love that Ollie is in the pilot.....
ReplyDeleteI guess that girl who wanted TV now like in their other promos...finally got her TV.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw the last scene of "Do You Believe in Miracles" Supernatural finale '-'
ReplyDeleteThe Flash looks VERY GOOD! http://www.liberacion2000.com/web/wp-content/uploads/aplausos.jpg
ReplyDeleteYay Barry! I'm so gonna love The Flash. It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Jane the Virgin looks absolutely terrible!
ReplyDeleteOhh cheers definitely watching Messengers
ReplyDeleteMight give Jane the virgin a go
ReplyDeletewas the caleb from pretty little liars in the ziggle
ReplyDeleteI kinda hope they bring the term metahumans over to Arrow as well eventually, It's a fairly big part of the lore.
ReplyDeleteI almost jizzed in my pants watching that Flash trailer :D
ReplyDeleteExtended promo for Flash is way better than the shorter, original promo. I'll check out a few episodes of this and see if the show lives up to its potential.
ReplyDeleteThe more I see of Jane The Virgin, the better it looks.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it actually looks quite funny.
ReplyDeleteJane The Virgin. Seriously?
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin Sneak Peak looks great !
ReplyDeleteLong Trailer from Flash looks even better than i expected
Waiting for iZombie & The Messengers
Ok, now we have seen Flash and Arrow. And I'm slightly worried of Smallville Freak of the Week problems. But I think the first season should end his questions of his past.
ReplyDeleteCancel Jane the Virgin. Return Tomorrow People. You're welcome
ReplyDeleteyep I want to see first season focus on catching the man responsible for killing his mom......I expect it will be a mix of super power bad and regular bad like homicide or robbery
ReplyDeleteIf they were creative with this, he would be the cause of his mom's "death," but in reality, he shifted her forward in time when he went back in time by accident.
ReplyDeletethe Flash extended preview looked really good and made me feel a bit ore optimistic about it. I don't recall from the backdoor intro in Arrow if they brought it up, but it looks like they are incorporating the lore of the Reverse Flash... makes sense as he was one of the biggest nemeses for the Flash if I recall correctly - and the Weather Wizard as well, looking forward to it. Not too sure about JTV...
ReplyDeleteYes, those lines were from Arrow.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash is a no-brainer. I love the comics and the promo looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin... actually doesn't look that bad. It looks like a cute Ugly Betty-esque show. I might actually check out the pilot *gasp!*
And obviously they are very religious, her mom probably remains thinking it's meant to be or something.
ReplyDeleteJtV looks watchable not as funny as I'd hoped. Haven't bothered with The Flash trailer yet, I doubt I'll start watching the show until it's about to go into season 10 because we all know how the CW loves to renew shows until they're crap. And of course they didn't release trailers for iZombie and The Messengers, which are what I was really stoked about. Not cool CW!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they adopt the costume that come out of the ring from the comic and animated series
ReplyDeleteI think this will be about that and possible some villains here and there like Arrow.
ReplyDeleteI think they have gotten used to work with a very small budget. The Vampire Diaries and The Originals also have decent effects.
ReplyDeleteIt makes you wonder how something like OUAT on ABC has some of the crappiest effects on TV.
I'm really hoping there will be major connections between the series (like we see in comic books). For example, Waller I think needs to be all over both shows. I also think Merlyn needs to be in one episode of Flash, where he is the first person to have a "victory" against the Flash due to his smarts (make a trap which Barry falls for, as he goes rushing in not looking what is around him, tripping up somewhere, being knocked unconscious). Show Merlyn to be the bad version of Bruce Wayne and we have something!
ReplyDeletei wanna watch the flash now, fall is too far.JtV looks horrible,it will join the ranks of cult, beautiful life within 4-5 episodes.
ReplyDeleteI think Flash's trailer is the best I've seen from CW. Absolutely fantastic.
ReplyDeleteok, sooo... jane the virgin isnt as bad as i thought... still, not gonna watch it
ReplyDeleteThe Flash is so EPIC in scale, the quality is cinematic, it truly is awesome, they out a great trailer out there and I am very excited, bring on fall! The show looks somewhat true to the comics too. His super speed even looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow, The Flash looks soooooo cool!
ReplyDeleteSo looks like Arrow is getting super heros too now...
Yeah i'm getting major Ugly Betty/Hart of Dixie vibes from it.
ReplyDeleteCome on! no one actually believes that virgin show will actually be successful? Does anyone? Hello?
ReplyDeleteAnyone? *criskets chirping*
I can't believe Bloodlines, tribes or whatever didn't get picked up and this crap did. SN spin off was not good, but compared to this virgin show it's an Oscar worthy material.
Flash looks awesome. I wonder for how many episode they will manage to spread out the budget and make decent flash running special effect before resorting to Vampire Diaries-esque vamping. Cause it looks very expensive!!
I thought that as well haha
ReplyDeleteGreat, thanks for that. I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for hours now. TV NOW! TV NOW!
ReplyDeleteYou did? Where?
ReplyDeleteWhile that The Flash promo probably gave away the whole Pilot, I don't care- it looked awesome! And looks like he has a 'Team Flash' right off the bat, very interesting, especially with Caitlin and Cisco's potential futures from the comics. I loved that Oliver gave him a hero pep talk and I hope they use the mother murder mystery for a serial plot for the season.
ReplyDeleteFlash looks good. They aren't being serious about the Jane the Virgin pick-up are they? Isn't it a bit late for April Fools?
ReplyDeletemaybe I'm wrong..
ReplyDeletelook again in 0:16 seconds.
The only show I might be checking out is The Flash, soooo:
ReplyDeleteWhy does. Every. Single. Sci-fi/superhero. Series. Need to have an opening "My name is... [x]" voice-over? We know the freaking name of the main character. God.
I see it's being filmed on-location in NYC: that must stretch the budget thin, hope it doesn't come at the expense of special effects and action scenes.
"Lightning... gave me abs?" - ha.
Judging by these snippers, I think Grant Gustin is going to be great in the role.
Is that Ollie/Arrow in the Flash pilot?! Damn, doing crossovers already.
On the whole, looks sweet.
With the premise of this show, I wonder if the whole thing came about because someone lost a bet or something...
ReplyDeleteThey did the same thing with Arrow 2 years ago - by the time the pilot had actually aired, I felt like I had seen 90% of it in the endless different trailers. I get that they need to promote the heck out of the show, but it does kind of ruin the pilot in advance.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely impressed with the special effects in The Flash, as per this promo (although pilots sometimes have higher budgets than the rest of the series). Either technology has advanced enough that it's possible to create decent effects on a small budget (although not everyone manages it), or The WB/CW is banking on The Flash to be a huge hit and was willing to put a ton of money into it.
ReplyDeleteWait wait wait... are they honestly doing a remake of the Venezuelan 'Juana la Virgen'? Oh this I have to see.
ReplyDeleteThey get cheesier, sillier and more annoying every time. I don't get why, when The CW is trying its damnedest to rebrand itself as a sci-fi/action/genre network that appeals to a broader audience than teenage girls, they continue to use those dumb songs and corny catchphrases in their sizzle reels.
ReplyDeleteJtV is basically this year's Emily Owens/Cult/Star-Crossed. I bet The CW has zero expectations from it and considers it cheap filler, hence the bad timeslot and what I'm guessing will be zero promotion.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash looks amazing, I am so excited for this, Jane looks like a huge flop. I cannot wait for the other two trailers. The Messengers sounds really good and I am a fan of IZombie.
ReplyDeletePretty much what you said.
ReplyDeleteThe CW needs the cheaper shows to balance out the more expensive shows. However the fact that it's cheaper means they'll have less expectations. Part of me expects it to cruise along to syndication with a .4 to .6 rating like HoD did.
Can't have Barry putting on the suit without Oliver giving him a heroes talk lol
ReplyDeleteForget about ABC, the final season of HIMYM on CBS couldn't afford decent green screen effects. It's so sad.
ReplyDeleteAHHH!!!!!! FLASH GOODNESS!!!!! OMG!!! BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!! THAT TOTALLY JUST MADE MY BIRTHDAY SOO MUCH BETTER!!! YES!!! AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteI will check out The Flash, looks good. But Jane it's a flop, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWOW The Flash LOOKS AMAZING! Can't wait this show and for the Arrow season 3!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Flash looks awesome can't wait.
ReplyDeleteJane doesn't seem as horrible as everyone is saying, but that doesn't make it any less DOA. I will watch just to laugh at it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm still on the fence about Flash, I can't stand the actor but the production values seem very high, the effects seem very well done. I will watch the pilot and decide afterwards.
I think the Clock King had some kind of terminal disease. Still alive though. Love Robert Knepper.
ReplyDeleteDid you have to remind me of that horrible final season?! ;P
ReplyDeleteYeah, if you don't want to know much about the Pilot don't watch most of what happens is shown but I don't mind it gets more more excited for the show.
ReplyDeleteIt looked way better than what they had for Smallville and I'm looking forward to it looks like it's going to be great.
ReplyDeleteExcited for the Flash. I still can't believe they took Jane the Virgin and dropped TTP.
ReplyDeleteI think only the pilot will be shot in NY. Sometimes they shoot the pilots in one location and then move to a cheaper one.
ReplyDeleteMe neither Jane The Virgin looks bad especially after the preview I saw.
ReplyDeleteIt's your birthday?
ReplyDeleteThe Flash Looks great - finally Oliver is the one giving a pep talk.
ReplyDeleteOh Shannon. We had an Indian weepy dramatic version of JtV. It was horrible. This one looks so much better comparatively. Its was so ridiculous I wanted to laugh when the characters were crying. So it might work as a comedy.
ReplyDeleteI don't wan't to spoil the plot for people who don't know it but in the original version things get more ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWow Jane the Virgin looks REALLY stupid, surprised that actually got picked up.
ReplyDeleteYes it is!
ReplyDeleteHa, yeah extremely bad comedy. The kind where it's so bad it's NOT good. Lol
ReplyDeleteWow, The Flash looks even better than I could've imagined. Very excited for that one!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE =) Wish you all the happiness in the world. Enjoy your special day!
ReplyDeleteCan you see the photos?
ReplyDeleteAwwww thank you!!! That is Sooo sweet!! I love it!! And I really needed that.
ReplyDeleteThis is Great!! Thank You!!
ReplyDeleteSweet then let's pretend that I posted it as a bday gift LOL
ReplyDeleteWell then I hope the episode is good so it won't spoil your day.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha will do.
ReplyDeleteRight?? It better be. There's only one thing I'm looking towards. Everything else would be a bonus. Then I have to get ready to meet my friends, at my fav. Bar. For drinks and Cake. But this episode better not make me cry. Then again it'll be my party so I can cry if I want to. Haha (damonisms). Good thing I didn't start getting all dressy before the episode airs. Lol
ReplyDeleteI didn't expect any less it doesn't really interest me but I'll watch iZombie, The Flash, and The Messengers they seem like they'll be good.
ReplyDeleteSmallville worked with a microbudget though
ReplyDeletemeanwhile the Flash obviously has a respectable one.
Remeber: from season 8 on Smallville was more lowbudget than anything
They cancelled a great show in The Tomorrow People, for shit like this Jane the Virgin - are the execs over at the CW, high?
ReplyDeleteJane the Virgin has an indie comedy feel to it, I don't know how well it's going to play to a CW crowd lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited for The Flash! This promo really sealed the deal for me!
ReplyDeletethey could use the metahumans on Arrow as well, but they will keep them grounded like strength enhanced advanced technology and stuff, just like the mirakuru, it was totally metahuman but a lot more grounded than super speed or weather control. On the opposite side the Flash will focus more on the superpowers of these metahumans, mainly because Central City was ground zero for the Star Labs incident. That doesn't mean tat they could make crossovers between these shows.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they released a minutes promo of Flash, the series seems way more promising now that ever, the acting is nice, and the tone as well, nice effects, the super speed seems nicer than expected.
ReplyDeleteI know I was just saying it was better but I still loved Smallville and was sad to see the show go.
ReplyDeleteYep, only ABC.
ReplyDeleteSmallville had similar effects, that went 10 seasons.
ReplyDeletelol i'm sure Ellie Goulding's got a tv
ReplyDeleteBeware of that. The Reign pilot was gorgeous and even though I love the show, the other episodes can't compare.
ReplyDeletehttp://static.tvguide.com/Includes/newsletter-images/blog-images/aZombie_Statue_-embed.jpg
ReplyDeleteDC is already starting the iZombie merchandising. Gwen (now Liv) is getting a statue with her comic book look.
I wonder when Caitlin will become Killer Frost?
ReplyDeletedamnit i want to see izombie and the messengers promos not these 2
ReplyDeleteHow did I not notice this? Belated birthday wishes Shannon. May this coming year bring you all the joy in the world. Hope you had a smashing birthday.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere they shot the whole pilot in Vancouver. Why would they shoot in NYC and raise their budget. Flash does belong in the fictional central city.
ReplyDeleteAh, I see. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat does make more sense. For some reason it really looked like Manhattan to me in the promo.
ReplyDeleteYou might as well - no one is gonna get to see how it plays out when it gets cancelled after 2/3 episodes.
ReplyDeleteSo Jane goes for a normal gynec test to the hospital. Because of a mix up of papers the doc inseminates her. After she leaves the other girl comes (she was going to be a surrogate for this couple who's wife is unable to conceive) and the doc realized the mistake but decides to keep quiet and inseminates the other girl too hoping Jane won't get pregnant. Of course Jane gets pregnant and faces ridicule and taunts from neighbors and school mates. Parellaly the other girl miscarries. Jane keeps on meeting the father of the baby and he realizes its his baby too but keeps quiet. They fall in love. Of course the wife is an evil witch who does not like Jane and not even want the baby. I am not sure but I think the evil wife had a hand in them loosing the other baby.
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind this was the weepy over dramatic Indian version. We love our melodrama. But even Indian audience couldn't stand it for more than two years. Considering this is a comedy who knows?
...I thought the concept of that promo was bad... How did this ever get picked up to series?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe my eyes when I read they picked this and dropped TTP. In India it partially worked because our society is not as liberal as yours. An unmarried girl having sex and getting pregnant is still taboo and unthinkable. An abortion is even more frowned upon. But times are changing.
ReplyDeleteI don't see how it can work now. Why not sue the hospital or doctor?
Really, this should last a very short period of time. Jane would get an abortion, and the doctor would get sued for a lot of money. How the CW can possibly think that creating a TV show with a simple resolve like that could ever work is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteReally Jane the virgin, CW?? I can't... I just can't.
ReplyDeleteEmily Owens was amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! And tonight will be my last night celebrating. After today, i'm totallyyy done. lol
ReplyDeleteI've never watched it, so I can't comment on its quality, but I think it's a show that The CW never expected to succeed. It was really off-brand for them, and they put it in a tough slot with a weak lead-in (Hart of Dixie). The same thing happened with Cult, Star-Crossed and now JtV which is why I'm comparing: all got tough slots where they were unlikely to succeed, suggesting that The CW never expected them to and simply regarded them as filler. Since they have a lot of genre shows which are full of special effects and stunts, they need some shows that are cheaper to produce in order to save money. Emily Owens and JtV, at least, fit that mold, as does Hart of Dixie.
ReplyDelete"jane the virgin"? That's a recipe for cancellation.
ReplyDeleteDoes not matter-CW cancels all the good shows anyway-not watching CW anymore #StarCrossed
ReplyDelete
