After losing Allison last season, it was more than appropriate to focus on the core cast rather than introducing Kira and Malia in the promo (although I love Kira), the fans (including me) would be offended to see new characters taking the place of the ones who died last season. So i'm gladly happy it's just to four of them, it's way better like that.
I believe the crossbow is meant to be for Allison. As the new theme "Can't going back" means for the heroes that they can't reverse time and go back in time, they have to move forward.
12 but yes, although if the ratings for season 4 are even higher than season 3B's ratings, I'd be very surprised if MTV doesn't at least discuss ordering 24.
I felt the same way when season 4 was announced. And then even more so at the end of 3B. I'm guessing at the end of season 4 I'll be wishing people dead.
I agree. My best guess on Kira and Malia is that it's a case of them not being able to win. If they included them, they'd please people like you and me, but others would complain to the effect of 'Those two have barely been in the show, what have they done to DESERVE to be spotlighted like this?'
I know it was the actress decision and all, but I'm not sure I can get over no more Allison, so I'll just download and watch once it's over. Still, their promos get better every year.
Except that the whole point of a show like this, and introducing new characters, is that they DO replace the old ones, and take their place. I don't mean that callously, just matter of factly. Ignoring them isn't fair to the characters or the people portraying them.
If MTV was determined to get one they'd get it, even if it meant demoting Jeff and replacing him as showrunner. If he hasn't planned out a few seasons ahead, he's an idiot. And an extended season would be two seasons story-wise, so it's not like he'd have to stress to figure out how to stretch the story. I kinda hope they force him to do 24 for season 5, it's not as though he couldn't let the other writers pick up the slack in one of the halves of the season.
First of all that'd be really disrespectful to demote Jeff Second of all he may have planned out the story arc for a couple seasons but things always change (Allison, Jackson and Isaac leaving is a good example), Also it is one thing to have an idea of whats the arc he wants to develop and other whole different thing to have 24 scripts written, he also has to supervise a lot of things, I get it if he's tired. Even if they do it like in season 3 with 2 different arcs, its still 24 episodes and thats a lot. I know where you're coming from, If they could give us 100 high quality episodes a year I'd be the happiest but I'm ok with 12 really good episodes rather than forcing him to make 24 crappy episodes.
Yeah! Teen wolf is back so fast. Love the promo, "Can't go back!" and the four core cast, rising from the ashes. And the bow. I right away gasped thinking of Allison. And I love how Scott is the lead, Derek is on one side of him and Stiles on the other and Lydia by Stiles. Im excited for the new cast but I hope that the death of Allison brings these four closer together. They are the original cast after all. I'm still not sure how I feel about Malia though. Her dad is Peter after all.
I'm okay with Malia mostly because she seems to mean good things for Stiles. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a relationship. As for Peter being her father. I think she's going to give him a major run for his money. I look forward to seeing him off balance.
Well the parents are recurring characters (and not part of MTV's age demographic) and Malia and Kira didn't know Alison or weren't emotional affected by her death like the others were.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
YEEEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was a weird but cool promo, haha. CANNOT EFFIN WAIT ONLY A MOON TO GO.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that was pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteBut...Allison isn't there... :(
ReplyDeleteI hate when they act like the others characters don't matter, as in the opening credits, where are the parents, Kira and Malia?
ReplyDeleteHOLY MOLY!! Lydia!!!!! *faints*
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I am so excited. Also, Holland looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow looks amazing hurry June 23

ReplyDeleteMTV'S marketing department deserves a raise
ReplyDeleteWhat!? I thought we had to wait till Fall! Great! That means its back to a 13 episode summer series only again right?
ReplyDeleteIve been waiting a while for this..... super excited bring it on!
ReplyDeleteI think it's season 4a in the summer, 4b in the winter, not sure about the episode counts for each.
ReplyDeleteNo 4B this year because Jeff Davis is a puss.
ReplyDeleteAnd the new promo pics of the cast had been revealed too.

ReplyDeleteUgh! Thanks for the clarification so I can be properly peeved.

ReplyDeleteABC should hire some of them. Maybe they can teach OUAT's department how not to be so freaking lame.
ReplyDeleteTeen Wolf teasers are always great!!! I'm so excited... season 4 hurry up please! :)

ReplyDeleteMy hear swells with joy...and the trailer just looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI totally disagree, but we can be agree to disagree after all =)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
ReplyDeleteThey'll (meaning Malia and Kira) will probably (and hopefully) be in the intro.
ReplyDeleteI hope so and yet I dont think they'll be in it.
