I always like the TCA they have a good range of nominees
ReplyDeleteHere is who I would vote for and who I think will win, skipped a few categories
Individual Achievement in Comedy: Amy Poehler. Louis C.K will win.
Individual Achievement in Drama: Tatiana Maslany and I think she will win as well, really tough category
Outstanding Achievement in News and Information: Cosmos. No idea who will win.
Outstanding New Program: Woah this is so hard to predict and so hard to choose. I think True Detective would be my choice, with OITNB winning.
Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries etc So so hard again. True Detective will get it
Outstanding Achievement in Drama: Breaking Bad would get my vote but I think The Americans has a chance
Outstanding Achievement in Comedy: I would vote for Veep but Louie has a very good chance of winning
Heritage Award: I want Lost, but probably Star Trek or Twin Peeks will get it
Program of the Year: Such a tough decision either Breaking Bad or True Detective will win/should win
Individual Achievement in Comedy: Jim Parsons, “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS)
ReplyDeleteIndividual Achievement in Drama: Matthew McConaughey, “True Detective” (HBO)
Outstanding Achievement in News and Information: Cosmos
Outstanding New Program: Sleepy Hollow with true detective and fargo at a very close 2nd and 3rd.
Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials: Another tough category: Broadchurch
Outstanding Achievement in Drama: Game Of Throne
Outstanding Achievement in Comedy: The Big Bang Theory” (CBS)
Career Achievement Award: Jay Leno
Heritage Award: LOST
Program of the Year: Game Of Thrones.
Don't understand, why is Orange nominated for Progam of the Year but not elsewhere? (Comedy or Drama whatever)
ReplyDeleteProbably unsure where to put it, like for the Emmys the show submitted itself as a comedy (to get a better chance of being nominated I guess) but its not really a comedy but isn't a straight up drama either. I always thought their should be a dramedy category (terrible term) for these kind of shows.
ReplyDeleteTrue Detective As Good As It Is Should Not Be In The Drama Category Because It Is A Miniseries.
ReplyDeleteSome good nominations, hard to choose.
ReplyDeleteIndividual Achievement in Comedy: Louis C.K., “Louie” (FX)
ReplyDeleteIndividual Achievement in Drama: Bryan Cranston, “Breaking Bad” (AMC)
Outstanding Achievement in News and Information: Cosmos
Outstanding New Program: Fargo... or True Detective, can't decide.
Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials: I want to say everything (except AHS) but i'm going with The Returned.
Outstanding Achievement in Drama: Breaking Bad
Outstanding Achievement in Comedy: Louie!!
Career Achievement Award: William Shatner
Heritage Award: LOST!!!
Program of the Year: Breaking Bad, though i would be fine with True Detective as well.
Don't watch all of the shows that have been nominated but here are the ones I'd like to see win. ( among the nominated )
ReplyDeleteIndividual Achievement in Drama
Tatiana Maslany, “Orphan Black” (BBC America)
Outstanding Achievement in Youth Programming
“The Fosters” (ABC Family)
Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials
“American Horror Story: Coven” (FX)
Outstanding Achievement in Drama
“Game of Thrones” (HBO)
Heritage Award
“Lost” (ABC)
Program of the Year
“Game of Thrones” (HBO)
Really?!!! No nomination at all for Hannibal after this mind blowing season 2??!!
ReplyDeleteI think i don't even want to know why: i don't need to get the reasons of people who pretend to be serious critics and think that Orphan Black, Sleepy Hollow and American Horror Story are worth to be nominated while Hannibal doesn't....
Yay Brooklyn Nine Nine. ABM - Anyone But Maslany. Meh to everything else. No Continuum, no cred.
ReplyDeleteTV critics adore Hannibal if you look at the reviews but there are simply too many great dramas on right now. Like off the top of my head I can list Justified, Rectify, The Bridge, Boardwalk Empire as shows that aren't included but could be.
ReplyDeletePlus I don't care for AHS but its in the mini-series category which Hannibal wouldn't be in and Sleepy Hollow is in the new series one which again Hannibal wouldn't be. Tatiana Maslany meanwhile deserves every award going for Orphan Black there is no other performance like hers on TV right now.
Voters were allowed to put a show in any genre they want. Orange likely split between the two and wound up getting nominated in neither. There really aren't enough dramedies to justify that category, and for me Orange is a drama.
ReplyDeleteTwin Peaks AND Lost. Game of Thrones AND True Detective. Breaking Bad, The Americans, Fargo, Sleepy Hollow, Tatiana Maslany AND Matthew McConaughey. In any order & any award. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt's not in the dramas category.
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black and/or Tatiana Maslany need to win, she's an absolutely brilliant actor. I also would really like to see Sleepy Hollow win something :)
ReplyDeletewheres the vampire diaries ?!?!
