THAT'S IT IM DONE GOODBYE IM A COOKED FANGIRL I WON'T SURVIVE. ADIOS
ReplyDeleteI am not here for the theory one brother kills the other. PLEASE DO NOT HAPPEN. THAT WILL HURT.
ReplyDeleteTV IS EMOTIONALLY DESTROYING ME LATELY. IT REALLY SUCKS.
ReplyDeleteIt's not been that bad this season, however the last couple of episodes were a tad boring. Let's hope the finale redeems those poor episodes.
ReplyDelete*dying voice as i crawl away* i . won't. survive. *collapses*
ReplyDeleteIt's about time they take the fight to Metatron! Hope Dean makes it out okay (he prob will).
ReplyDeleteAGAIN, I WILL NOT SURVIVE X.X
ReplyDeleteSeason 10 won't be here soon enough
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is vague enough.
ReplyDeleteAbaddon wasn't mentioned in Season Finale, so she dies in 9x21 I guess (there were people saying that Alaina was leaving Vancouver for good when she shot 9x21 and I got the vibe after the 9x21 promo when she said to Dean: "You're no match for the queen", making me think that someone is going to throw to Dean the first blade or he has it already but hidden.. I think Dean killing her set a chain of events that ends with him becoming a knight of hell.
ReplyDeletei don't remember can you get rid of the Mark of Cain after you kill a knight
ReplyDeleteOh, Dean... :(
ReplyDeleteFinally! Something is actually happening!
ReplyDeleteYou should see a doctor.
ReplyDeletePretty much can't get anymore vague then this press release. With all the secrecy surrounding the finale, I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint. I was personally disappointed by the season 8 finale when they did a 180 and DIDN'T close the gates of Hell which was way out of character for the brothers and was a complete waste of an entire season which was focused on closing the gates of Hell.
ReplyDeleteVaguely ominous.
ReplyDeleteSEASON FINALE WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteI will not survive .... :D. http://37.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_loatgmWzLX1qltb20o1_500.gif http://intl.despicableme.com/tumblr_downloads/images/hHrMa8R_2.gif
Unfortunately that's my fear since Dean took the Mark of Cain. I guess it might be more by accident, but Dean might kill Sam in the finale this year.
ReplyDeleteCain was the only one who had the Mark and he appeared to be the only one able to give it (as well as Lucifer). When Cain gave it to Dean, he didn't lose his own Mark. He still had it, you can see it in the episode when he's fighting the demons at the end. So even giving it to Dean, didn't mean he no longer had it. And I doubt if Dean will have the ability to give it anyways.
ReplyDeleteCain still has his Mark.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that wasn't just a production error? There's only one mark, and he talked about transferring it to Dean, not just copying it onto him. It seemed like the intention was for the mark to transfer from Cain to Dean.
ReplyDeleteA tad? You're being generous :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought they were downright boring!
I agree and Cain might be able to take it back, however, he had stipulated that Dean had to kill him when Dean got the First Blade. IF Dean does this, he "should" be stuck with the Mark and all its effects (whatever that all entails). That would be very interesting.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I doubt TPTB will brave enough to have the brothers that separated at the end of the finale. They tend to try to get the brothers back together at the last minute (5 minutes) after some "moving" brother speech that doesn't really solve anything (remember season 8 finale) so that they can begin the next season together, only to start fighting again because nothing is ever truly resolved with those last minute speeches. And that would disappoint me severely after having them at odds this long.
It will be worth it to keep them at odds into season 10 IF they get some firm resolution, on both sides, over the next season. I don't see it being resolved successfully with only 3 eps left this season, especially with everything else going on.
That being said, I am TOTALLY STOKED for these final episodes! Can't wait to see more resolution on all these storylines! Tuesday cannot get here soon enough!!
No, there isn't only one Mark. Cain clearly had the Mark at the end of "First Blood" when he slew all those demons. The scene made a point of showing him pulling up his sleeves to show the Mark. Also, he used the same powers he's always had to kill the demons.
ReplyDeleteErgo, two people can have the Mark and you can't get rid of it just by giving it to someone else.
This is just a synopsis people lets wait until pics and preview come out that will have more to tell us.
ReplyDeleteI just rewatched the scene. He didn't have the mark any more. It was dull brown/black where it had been red right before when he transferred it to Dean. And since Cain had clearly been talking about transferring the Mark to Dean that whole time, not just duplicating it, the "mark" that was still on Cain's arm must have just been a dull scar. It wasn't the real thing any more.
ReplyDeleteDean's Mark is also dull-brown when it's not active.
ReplyDeleteCain still had the Mark.
It sounds exactly the same synopsis as for any of the past episodes that dealt with Metatron, and just as boring.
ReplyDeleteCan you really see anything world-shattering happening?
It's just another day at the office for Carver and his dud writers. They don't even try to make things exciting anay more. They don't deserver the J's to write for!
x
What I would've liked is for everything from the beginning of season eight to have been a demon- induced hallucination in Sam's head, and now that he wakes up, he gets into Purgatory, finds Dean, and back to back they chop off a ton of monster heads before heading for the opening and getting out with their bro-bond more unbreakable than ever; maybe after having run into some familiar faces on the road out, Madison, Gordon Walker and Lenore, just to name a few. :)
The brothers bond is not worth it all the time it is geared just to Dean.
ReplyDeleteIt's geared to Dean now, because the writers have pushed Sam to the side as the uncaring brother, but Sam in the past has always shown as much care for Dean, as Dean for Sam, even when they were arguing and even during the demon blood era.
ReplyDeleteI and I'm sure many others watch mainly for the bro-bond and cetainly for me that is the essence of the show.
Without the bro-bond SPN would just be like that terrible Bloodlines we got last week. :)
Bloodlines was boring, but the 4A episode was one of my favorites of the season.
ReplyDeleteCrowley, Gadreel aren't mentioned either - I doubt they're absent in both final episodes. I think some may be there and just not mentioned.
ReplyDeleteCan you really see anything world-shattering happening?
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I don't want anything world-shattering to happen. I think the finales are best when they don't overdo it. The show doesn't do well at that (Swan Song...eesh). I think finales like season 2 had the right idea. Big things happened but the end was still the characters going onto their next destination.
With that said, I'm pretty sure something big is going to happen. I don't think we will be as shocked as the show may want us to be, but it will happen.
I'm honestly curious to know what you think is going to happen.
ReplyDeleteDean's eyes turn black, already done.
Castiel gets stabbed. Done.
Metatron/ Castiel kills angels. Done.
Gadreel possess someone. Done.
Dean gets possessed but he has the tattoo, so ...?
Dean goes on a rampage and kills everyone? Could happen, I suppose though we've already had feral/ killing Dean in Purgatory.
etc, etc, etc.
Just what could these hack writers come up with that could be interesting and/or unusual if you don't like the word 'world-shattering'?
I agree. I wasn't a huge fan of it the first time I saw it. But on the second watch it really grew on me. Especially after bloodlines. It made me want a spinoff with Annie and Jodi kicking ass.
ReplyDeleteDean being a demon would change everything about the show and his relationships. I'd prefer it if he doesn't stab or kill Sam or Cas, because I just feel like we've been down those roads before and we know that Sam isn't going anywhere, but Dean being a demon or taking over Hell would be a twist.
ReplyDeleteSadly I don't think the CW will let any SPN characters have a spinoff, but if Bloodlines is picked up (I doubt it will be but if it is) then I'm going to tweet and tweet for them to have Jody and Alex on.
ReplyDeleteI always wondered because Cain disappeared and also Dean would be the new cain if he killed him. if dean would disappear after the fight cas would have heaven. I mean we really haven't learned side effects of the mark just glimpses of what is happening so Dean I think we finally see it out in open and I think Sam will come out unscathed because he already had an angel all up inside him and dean is learning what its like to have a power sam is learning hey maybe not that easy to make descision when it comes to wanting to save your brother. so guessing this will go into season 10
ReplyDeleteSeconded!
ReplyDeleteBut I guess they will try to force down Bloodlines down our throats next season.
The brothers bond is stretched to its limits true, but do we really want to see two unrealistically totally-conflict-free-all-is-happy Hunters in a drama show, or do we watch for the drama?
ReplyDeleteAfter re-watching lots of Sam and Dean moments from this season and season 8 I disagree that Sam has been labeled as the uncaring brother.
He is understandably angry with Dean about the whole angel possession thing and is questioning everything from being thrown into the hunters life again and again to being over protected by Dean.
No Sam did not say he would let Dean die, he would just not go to the extreme measures Dean would to bring Sam back from the dead. It would kill Dean to know that Sam traded his own life to save Dean.
And still if push comes to shove Sam will make a hard choice to save Dean, no matter what it will cost him, knowing that Dean would not want him do that.
Sam and Dean are still two human beings in a close relation ship that needs work to function on daily basis. That they argue is normal, that they fight is normal and that they don't make up in an instant and all is well is normal.
The bond still exists, it just changes, like Sam and Dean have changed over the years. But deep down, where it matters, nothing has changed, they are still brothers and would die for each other.
I don't about you guys, but I can hear the "Carry On..." already.
ReplyDeleteSince Dean has taken care of, scarified his life for, and for the most part lived his entire life for Sam since he was just 4 years old, I don't see how it is just geared to Dean. It appears that they have both benefited.
