Dean's a master torturer, still we've come along way from when Cas did not want Dean to have to torture, to specifically asking him to do it - I did like the "But if you don't want to, that's cool too".
He's not only been tortured but he's tortured himself. Remember Ellie the Purgatory monster from season 6? Angels are supposed to be unsurpassed at torture. I think this is supposed to be about Castiel's vow of nonviolence, but I don't think outsourcing torture (especially to someone who interned under Alastair) is being true to the nature of this vow.
Not exactly. It happened in season six and now in season nine. I wouldn't could season 4 and 5 being a war between angels nor would I think that seasons seven and eight were about an angelic war.
You remember Naomi from last year right? Here is her description from Superwiki "Naomi is an angel, and a very powerful one who is the leader of one of the many factions fighting for control of Heaven.". It's implied that the Angel civil war was also happening during season 7 (Cas was at the start of it killing rival faction angels and it's assumed it carried on after he went MIA, because it was still happening in season 8).
I honestly don't care what a wikipedia fan site has to say about the series, imo. If it wasn't really established on the show on what Naomi was doing against other factions of angels, then to me, that wasn't one of Naomi's goals. What season eight presents is Naomi trying to find the angel tablet, and not her fighting against other factions of angels.
I beg to differ. Again, there is nothing to really confirm this at all during season eight. Heaven was distraught after Godstiel destroyed the rest of Raphael's army and nothing is really said about an angelic civil war continuing until the angels all arrived on Earth and tried to be the big man on campus(Bartholomew, Malachi).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I don't want to watch a sneak peek when the episode is only a few hours away...
ReplyDelete"So this war between angels is really gonna happen huh?" It's been happening for 4 seasons now. Please let this be the end of it.
ReplyDeletei knew it had to do with dean's torture mastery he learned in hell

ReplyDeleteLOL! Did Malachi get killed in Offscreenville?
ReplyDeleteCas also tortured (off camera and without his powers) the hybrid monster Sheriff in 6.19 "Mommy Dearest" .

ReplyDeleteApparently and how very convenient.
ReplyDeleteThat made me laugh throughout the rest of that clip because it's just so silly and something I didn't expect from SPN.

ReplyDeleteShe wanted the tablet to use against the other faction of angels.
ReplyDeleteThis is just assuming though, isn't it? We are never told in the series why she wanted the tablet.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of why she wanted it or not, there was an Angel civil war happening up in heaven last year.
