A Washington, D.C., councilmember says he’s in touch with a producer for the ABC TV drama Scandal who’d like to bring the show to the city to shoot scenes in August.
Councilman Vincent Orange says the Scandal shoot would be dependent on continued funding of the city’s film incentive program. Scandal is set in Washington but shoots in Los Angeles.

Oh, that's interesting. Wonder what made them want to shoot there four years into the show.
ReplyDeleteDoes This Mean Scandal Is Renewed For A Season 4? Or Will It Shoot Scenes In D.C. If It Gets Renewed.
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't been officially renewed, but it definitely will be.
ReplyDeletenot officially but it's one of ABCs best performers, there's virtually no chance that it's not renewed.
ReplyDeletehuh they will be already shooting in August. I thought they will make a shorter season cause of Kerry's pregnancy & start the fall season with a 7-9 ep season of How to get away with murder and start the show in January with 15-18 eps till May
ReplyDeleteKerry had her baby about a month ago. The cast goes back to set to start shooting season 4 during the first week of July.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 will likely have 22-24 episodes divided into 2 mini seasons for Fall and Spring.
Kerry's pregnancy is no longer an issue since she's had her baby already. The previous season was the one that was cut, if anything, this season will have more eps to compensate for the cut.
ReplyDeleteI would think that unless Shonda/ABC decides they don't want 22 eps for season 4 , it will have a full season even given the fact that Kerry was just pregnant.
ReplyDeleteI don't see why they would do this. Kerry had her baby on April 21. Most shows start filming in late July. That will be three months after she had the baby so more than enough time to recuperate and lose most of the pregnancy weight. I actually think season four could have two or three more episodes to make up for the shorter season three.
ReplyDeleteAll of the regular cast (plus Dan and Joe) except for Kerry and Josh Malina were in DC last week for the White House Correspondents Dinner. I'm guessing it was to give them a chance to see DC since most had never been to DC previously. Plus apparently folks in DC are big fans of the show and want them to film there which would generate revenue for the local government.
ReplyDeletei would love this and may have to take a mental health days on those days since I live and work in the dc area. lol
