    But why? A recast this late in the game for a major character?

    And Harrison was going to die! There was the perfect out for him! Not a fan of this plan at all.

    This is essentially confirming he was fired to the public due to his personal problems. A subtle way of airing his dirty laundry and getting public vengeance(We didn't need you, we replaced you!). Killing him would have been the way to go letting him at least keep his dignity .

    I watched one soap opera over the summer once in high school and that is how they do it on a soap when they recast a role. The actor walks out and a voice announces that they are now playing the role of....
