I *loved* the flashback, but I have to go with Beckett arresting Bracken. After so many years, and so much pain, that scene just felt so wonderful. And another brilliant performance by Stana - and great chemistry with Jack Coleman as well.
I had to say "other" simply because the scene I was going to pick, you went too far past the best part. Bracken gets arrested on live TV/end. The part of Beckett telling Castle she couldn't have done it without him was nice, but it kinda watered down the impact of THAT moment.
The Beckett flashback scene is a decent runner up.
I wish there was a can't pick just one scene option because that is how I feel. I think seeing Bracken arrested was the high point for me but the whole episode was amazing.
I can't choose one scene because for me the best part was at the end when she found the tape and then she arrested bracken. For once, I'll say that I was glad that I wasn't spoiler-free for this episode, and I knew that Kate would arrest Bracken at the end, so the moment she went after the elephant, I knew this was it. And that made me very emotional until the end and after that. Really Amazing episode! That was the perfect closure for the cas of Johanna Beckett and I think my favorite episode from the all series!
I have to agree with everyone saying that this has been the best episode of the entire series and it was very difficult to pick one scene but alas, I picked the moral of the story, good triumphing over evil...Beckett arresting Bracken. I'm ignoring the fact that this option actually has the scene going until the end of the episode. Don't get me wrong I loved seeing Bracken being walked, through the myriad reporters that had been covering his press conference, to the awaiting squad car (ding, dong the witch is going to prison!). Then Beckett showing respect to her two professional partners but ultimately walking into the arms of her life-partner...swoon!
I picked up the ending scene, because it was touching and beautiful, with an honorable mention to the scene with the elephants for its meaning (and it never occurred to me that the truth was in front of Beckett for so long)|
I agree it's been a very long time coming, and the look on Kate's face was well worth it, and the fact she recognized Castles help in it Iceing on the cake!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
No doubt Bracken finally getting arrested and by non-other than Kate.

ReplyDeleteThe entire episode, without doubt.
ReplyDeleteBest scene was Beckett spitting out the pill and shooting the two bad guys. So tough! Love that cop!
