That was a great series finale, and I loved it. Definitely going to miss the show, though.
I was worried Pete would get rejected or it'd be weird when Pete/Myka ended up together. But it wasn't - it worked perfectly. And hee at the fact that Steve ships them and that getting punched is a turn-on for Pete.
Whoa at the fact that Artie has a son. Did not see that one coming. And the end itself was perfect.
Plus, the ending was open-ended enough that Myka/HG shippers can write fics if they want.
This was great series finale love seeing Myka realize she in love with Pete even though I wanted them stay best friends nice surprise that Artie has a son best cameo HG Wells aka Jamie Murray now this is how you do a series finale going to miss this show wish a another show can have all theses actresses and actors together now work on getting all five seasons on dvd
I thought the episode was good, but honestly, I'm not torn up over the series ending. Not like I am about Revolution. Warehouse 13 had a good run, but I found more and more often the episodes were not holding my full attention. And, I know I'm in the minority here, I really really REALLY disliked the HG Wells character, so even having her shown in the finale ruined it for me. I thought her character was interesting when it was revealed that HG Wells was a woman, but the character should have been left to a one of and not forced into the story as often as she was.
LOVED seeing Mrs. Fredrich laugh!!! That was the biggest unexpected event of the finale for me.
I am confused, though, about why the new agents seemed to be Americans? At least I thought the Warehouse was supposed to MOVE and yet it didn't feel as if it did.
And rather than focus on Claudia at the end with that weird "Decades in the future" ending, I'd have preferred to see what became of all the characters. What did Artie go on to do? Or Steve? Did Pete and Myka make a life together? That would have been much more interesting to me.
For me the ending was off because I didn't feel as if the Warehouse actually moved. And I just could NOT take Claudia seriously as the caretaker in that get up. Then again, I've never been able to take that character too seriously.
I'm kinda hoping that all of the people who directed their endless hate toward the Pyka fandom watched that kiss and got really pissed off. I'm nothing if not vindictive.
Yeah I don't believe it did move because they showed the Warehouse in the desert like it had been before. So I wonder why it didn't move and what the characters did after that.
Haha. I knew since Season 1 when Alice in the mirror took over Myka's body and kissed Pete that the show was going to go in that direction so it was no surprise to me. I usually get pairings on shows right. I make sure to root for the couple most likely to end up together. Actually no, but I usually end up liking the people most likely to end up together. I've been lucky.
Thanks for caring but I was not pissed at all. Mostly because these scenes couldn't have been more awkward and even the greatest shipper in the world couldn't help but notice how forced it was. Especially the last scene where they tried to act "couply".
Who knew that having six episodes to take them from friends to lovers, with maybe two or three scenes devoted to it each episode, would make them coming together at the ass end of the series feel awkward?
Just because they had to squeeze it in doesn't mean they shouldn't have done it at all.
I used to watch the show and really enjoy it !! but this last season(s) for me was mehh ! and by the end episodes became "jokes" LOL some things were over the top ( tv novela episode for example...) and I hated it ! It felt like they didn't give a sh*t anymore and they were like F*** it let's do whatever :D lol ! I didn't like the finale either ! I couldn't get into it. Also Myka and Pete felt forced and the kiss was REALLY AWKWARD to watch ! It sad to say cause I never thought I would say it, but I won't miss the show ....
Wouldn't it be better if it happened sooner? I don't know but for people who ship Pete and Myka it seems like they should of at least be together for at least 3 seasons I'm sure some people didn't like that they only got one episode.
Couldn't have asked for more withing this short time. I was actually happy there wasn't some final battle, and the final battle was last week. This remembering your defining moment for the time capsule was a great final episode idea. Especially since it allowed good closers in various areas and the unseen cases were awesome. I would of loved to seen those "if episodes".
Glad that Myka and Pete got together naturally the in the way I felt they would, with both of them in shock. It was nice having all the cast. That scene with Lenna was awesome. And H.G. Wells and Gisele, nice one lol.
And it seemed like the Warehouse 13 decide to stick to its best roots, and not be a "w^#^e" as Artie called it. With that I would assume, the team stayed as agents as longest they wished, and Claudia became Caretaker at a young age. It was nice seeing Claudia in the future too, Ms. F style. Great end, wish there was more. but no more. After this I am definitely gonna get S5 hard copies for re watches in the future.
Warehouse didn't move, time passed so there are new agents now, who ware logo caps stating its still Warehouse 13. Decades in the future gave Claudia's life in the future, and that the Warehouse probably doesn't care to move to highest power land anymore. Artie went to live near his son eventually. Steve with his ex boyfriend who he left on good terms, eventually, if not someone else. Of Course after this Pete Myka make a life together. Not enough time to show it all. but the implies were heavy and direct.
You missed the point of the last scene so. Endless wonder. We don't know what happened to them but it was largely implied during their "last" artifact hunt. But not saying it out loud was a way to stick to this endless wonder motto, and that's great, I think
I cried and the end when Pete had all those flash backs and that he cared so much about the Warehouse that he did not what to lose it that ending had heart too me I loved it.
Of course not. But I'm also the kind of person who likes seeing clearly how things end. But the whole thing about Warehouse is that nothing really ends, so in this particular case, I think the author really did a great job with this open end.
Artie's "conversation" with the Warehouse was such a wonderful scene! I knew with it being the last ep to have the tissues ready- but that scene was just heart wrenching; equal parts joy and sadness!
Indeed, which is why W13 was such a wonderful show! Yes, it was silly, crazy AND unrealistic.... BUT you could sit down, watch and have a fun, great enjoyable ride, without taking it (or themselves) too seriously. Loose yourself in Endless Wonder and laugh uncontrollably!! How many shows can do that???
I agree with several of your points. There were definitely several episodes per season that didn't really hold my attention. Loved Mrs. Frederick's surprising laugh. I was somewhat confused by that ending too, but just figured that WH13 didn't move after all. I, too, would've rather seen a future flashforward montage for all of the characters, not just Claudia. Actually, Claudia trying to act all "Mrs. Frederick", when she became Caretaker, was awful. Only Mrs. Frederick pulled off that serene mysterious character well. And, Claudia is best when she acts as herself, instead of Mrs. Frederick, part 2.
I agree, it was a good series finale, in that it mostly gave closure to the Warehouse, and the characters, and didn't end the series on a cliffhanger. However, I too felt like this series finale missed something. For instance, at the end there, I would've rather seen a future flashforward montage for all of the characters, not just Claudia
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That was a great series finale, and I loved it. Definitely going to miss the show, though.

Pretty good. I don't know why I felt something was missing with the ending.

ReplyDeleteI'm just going to say... that apple though. OMG. My heart shattered into a gazillion little pieces.
ReplyDeleteYeah I don't believe it did move because they showed the Warehouse in the desert like it had been before. So I wonder why it didn't move and what the characters did after that.

ReplyDeleteYeah Im not sure what sort of job could top that. Would Myka go back to working at a Book store?
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the finale. It wrapped up this wonderful show pretty well. Definitely will miss it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, the weekly cases weren't as compelling as in the start of the show.
ReplyDeleteWho says the Warehouse was moved at all?
Thanks for caring but I was not pissed at all. Mostly because these scenes couldn't have been more awkward and even the greatest shipper in the world couldn't help but notice how forced it was. Especially the last scene where they tried to act "couply".

ReplyDeleteEndless wonder is the only that can be said about this show. Too bad that endless wonder ended for us.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be better if it happened sooner? I don't know but for people who ship Pete and Myka it seems like they should of at least be together for at least 3 seasons I'm sure some people didn't like that they only got one episode.

ReplyDeleteMrs Fredick did say WH13 was moving.Maybe it would be tomorrow or next year she didn't know but it was going to move.
ReplyDeleteEndless wonder indeed. I will miss this fun quirky show a lot. It was fun while it lasted. <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful I cried
ReplyDeleteSuperb declaration of love Artie
at the warehouse
I didn't miss the point, I just like seeing things. I'm like that.
ReplyDeleteWell, sorry, but if you continue to think this way, I think that you missed the point of the endless wonder montage... :)
ReplyDeleteJust because I didn't like the ending completely doesn't mean I missed the point.
ReplyDeleteI cried and the end when Pete had all those flash backs and that he cared so much about the Warehouse that he did not what to lose it that ending had heart too me I loved it.

The Warehouse and Family will be Sadly Missed
You took the words right out of my... uh... keyboard. Couldn't agree more.

ReplyDeletetotally agree! pete his moments were the best and summerized everything warehouse 13 was about!
