    I´m glad the Floke didn´t betray Ragnar. Floke is such a different and interesting character, I would have hated to see him get killed.
    Loved the whole season and I´m glad to know that season 3 is coming in 2015, though it is a long wait. King Ragnar - awesome!!!!

    Nobody died that I didn't think would have. I knew the King was going to die. I didn't think Floki was going to betray Ragnar. Disappointed that no main character died. Was truly hoping Asalug was gonna bite the dust. Last Season Ragnar's daughter died and he cheated on his wife; which resulted in a pregnancy. There were plenty of cliffhangers. Really thinking he was going to loose Asalug and one of his little ones. Would have been more of a climatic ending.

    A great episode, it's going to be one long long wait until 2015, I think I'll re-watch this season at least ten times till then. I do have a minus about this episode - I wish our main characters had had more lines. It was definitely a Floki with some Bjorn episode, but other than that...Ragnar barely said anything, Athelstan again not much, Aslaug one line, Rollo again just a couple of scenes, Lagertha had a couple of good moments but even those felt short. The episode as a whole was great, I just wished to see/hear something more from all of them, considering it was the finale. I was also a little surprised that there was practically no cliffhanger, it was actually something that could be called a happy ending in this series. It was dark in a way, but it also had 'all ends well' air. Everyone was faithful to Ragnar, Horik is dead, Ragnar is king. Again, this is not a complaint, it just came as a surprise for some reason I was expected some sort of cliffhanger.

    Lagertha had more text in the uncut version....but they always cut the Lagertha and Athelstan scenes for some reason.
    I actually think it was great that Ragnar said nothing at all with the exception of the prayer scene....even in the scenes he was in, he conveyed everything just through facial expressions.

    Indeed, like swanpride says. Alot of Lagertha and Aslaug stuff was cut out of the american edition in the name of more commercial time. If you didn't know it there are two editions of the show. One American and one International one that is longer and has extra scenes.

    Huh, I didn't even notice Ragnar barely had any lines until you mentioned it. Travis conveys everything so perfectly just with facial expressions.

    Do! It didn't matter that much during the first season, but in the second one they managed to get rid of some core scenes...like Ragnar sharing a bed with Aslaug and Lagertha in the season's finale. (I still can't believe that they cut this).

    Was not impressed. It was so disjointed and I felt there was an episode missing between 9 & 10. I do not buy for a second that Siggy felt loyal to Ragnar. She has hated him all season and told the Seer she blamed him for all her loss in life. I could see her betraying Horik after he told her to kill Ragnar's sons but only then. Also not buying the Lagertha and Aslaug friendship. Sorry no woman of Lagertha's ilk, proud, strong, kick ass and principled would be friends with the woman who slept with her husband and got knocked up while she was dealing with her dying daughter. I expect Lagertha to be respectful but nope sorry, not forgiveness. Add to that there fact that UK is getting a totally different story from US and the editing all around sucks dogs balls. How is Hirst going to be able to tell her story of polygamy in UK and the US has no clue???? It's a joke, and thanks to History channel they have ruined it

    Who says that Siggy felt loyal to Ragnar? When Siggy started to curry favour with Horik, Rollo was pretty much a mess and while Ragnar had forgiven him, without the permission to raid he had no chance to ever rise again. In this situation, Horik was her best hope. But later Ragnar truly forgave Rollo and Horik proofed himself more and more as someone who made empty promises, taking without ever giving something back. Siggy is not stupid, Ragnar is her best bet to reach a position of power again through Rollo. Especially now that Ragnar is king Rollo certainly raised with him. And Siggy with Rollo.
    The real question is when she decided to approach Ragnar.
    Lagertha is not the type who lingers on old hurts. If she did, she would have never become friends with Siggy either. I wouldn't call the relationship between her and Aslaug "friendship" though...more mutual acceptance.

    So glad Floki didn't betray Ragnar--it seemed like it would be so out of character for him to do that. And I was glad that Horik bought the farm--and at Ragnar's hands! But whoa--he sure had stored up a LOT of anger at Horik! That scene was totally brutal!

    Thought Bjorn's and Porunn's "rough wooing" scene was priceless--it was one of my favorite scenes in the episode! Another was how sweet Floki was with his newborn daughter, awfully sweet to see the rough boatbuilder as putty in her tiny hands...

    This episode was another epic one, and it ranged from the brutal to the tender. Next season looks like it will be another swashbuckling legendary one...

    Who says she went to Ragnar? Why did she keep Rollo out of the loop, because its' pretty obvious after he confronted her he had no idea about anything. Horik is the King with all the back up, saying she knew Ragnar was her best bet is a crock. She had no idea that he was the better bet. Hedging her bets? Yes that is totally Siggy. Actually the real question is if she ever did approach Ragnar, I love the way people make up scenes that didn't happen to explain things that don't make sense and are obviously contrived plot points because Hirst decided to change direction last minute. I'd agree with Lagertha and Aslaug mutual acceptance, but mutual friends or acceptance don't have sex with each other, which clearly they did. We don't really know what Lagertha is like anyway, she's subject to change based on Hirst' whims. She may hold on to past hurts she may not. But it's clear from the number of posts you make that you feel you are an expert on the show. So I'll bow to your superior knowledge.

    That's the question, isn't it? It was obvious though that Ragnar knew what she was supposed to use the dagger for, and I doubt that Aslaug would have allowed Siggy to take the children with her in the back if Ragnar had learned about the plan from anyone else than Siggy herself. My point was though that at no point the season finale suggested that Siggy felt loyalty towards Ragnar. Her reasons for doing what she does are still very much her own.
    The Threesome scene is not very clear cut, most likely to give the audience the pick what they like to believe...for all we know they simply shared a bed out of practical reasons and Ragnar is so satisfied because Lagertha and Bjorn are back in his household for the moment. Even if you choose to believe that Ragnar slept with both of them, you always have the option to believe that they didn't sleep with each other.
