    The hilarity of this whole thing is that you have producers talking about "slow burning" Caroline and Stefan into next year while they're trying to sell the idea that they'd kill him off.

    No, they will not kill either until the series finale or unless something really unexpected happens with the actors.

    Damon's my favorite. Always and Forever. But damn. I feel really bad for all the Stefan fans out there. And omg I feel sorry for Caroline, b/c she witnessed that shit first hand! But the whole episode was really good. But i was freaking out when Elena and Stefan's daylight rings weren't working, then they were reliving their deaths, and then it got to Damon, and I screamed OH MY GOD NO!!!! All that scared the hell outta me!! I was sooo glad the sun came down for all of them.

    Well, I was paraphrasing, but their sentiment was that this "other side" storyline is meant to resolve the "nobody stays dead" issue this show has had.
    Stefan's not going to stay dead, though. Don't stress it.

    I'm speechless. I'm mean seriously.... did that really happen? Stefan has had a rough couple of season finales. Season 3 he watched Elena risk her life for Matt when he wanted and even tried to save her, last season he drowned over and over and over, and now this?? 😵😨😣😖😢😭💔👎

    Considering the core cast are only contracted through to the end of season 6 (and with a vamp show as the vampires are not supposed to age: the actors do) I think 6 seasons would be a good run for the show. I did expect one of 3 to die though so I was not as shocked as some people here.

    Thanks to the wonderful cryptic interviews and spoilers from the show runners, I already know Stefan was 'going to be put down' this episode....no shockers for me there. But what I had hopes on was it would be Damon who was with him then, Damon who would find him, Damon whose reaction we would see first. Instead we got another episode filled with DE....I mean seriously
    "You two are miserable without each other"
    Their life is in danger and their urgency is still Elena's love life? To push Caroline/Stefan romance they give the formers exes a conversation on how important she is for them! Then we have another DE face eating competition while delusional Stefan looks on with a grin [gag] and while they walk off in the sunset he gets his heart ripped out!!!

    Sort of like how S4 ended....DE is a happy moment, Stefan pushed under the water!!

    My loyalty for this show is fast crumbling with the other 'pathetic' side!

    On a happy note, I was really proud of Stefan for not ranting and raving with Bonnie and just took her reply and passed on bravely. Just really proud!

    Tweeting out a pithy little one-liner on twitter is not "confirming" much of anything. If Paul Wesley were leaving the show, there would already be news stories and articles and speculation, just as there was for Claire Holt just a few months ago.

    LMAO this show isn' even a pathetic joke anymore, it's just spathetic and irrelevant. Stefan will be back, but there was more unbelievable Damon/Elena crap (it's like she's still sired to him), like when are they going to stop when the audience just can't watch that anymore. Poor Stefan is always getting screwed but it's Damon who's had a bad year. LOOOOOOOOOOL. Yes, because he lost the love of his life and drowned for 3 months straight, right Damon?

    It's a travesy that a show once so good has turned into this huge stinky pile of sh*t. I can't even look a Damon and Elena anymore, especially when they're in the same scene. Disgusted. It's like the writers are on a mission to destroy every good thing about the show.

    I know TVD gets a lot of hate these days but I loved most of it. Stefan and Elena have come full circle and seem like they can just be friends now. I liked them together without any stress between the two and how much Stefan loves Damon. Excited for next week!

    I'm not a fan of the Steroline stuff, but even I have to admit that the emotional scene with Caroline made me wonder if the relationship should be given a chance. It's not too late yet to bring Stefan back, and it's obvious from other spoilers who will die to make that happen.


    Am I the only one wondering if Tyler was the only major character to get a passenger put in him by the Travelers? Julian's wife said that Tyler is gone. Nadia said that Elena would be gone forever when she was planning to have Elena sealed up in Katherine's corpse. I see this as yet another indication that the dagger Stefan used to kill Katherine probably didn't bring Elena back. Either someone, whether Traveler or witch, became aware of the situation and broke the passenger spell to put Elena back in her body, or the Travelers seized the opportunity to put a passenger in Elena and the real Elena is still sealed up in that dead body. Also, Matt has been saying and doing some unusual things. I think he might have yet another passenger in him, but it's probably someone who just wanted to escape the Other Side. That would explain why he's being so helpful. He just wants a second chance at life and whoever he is, he wants friends. Normally I wouldn't push these theories, but I keep remembering what Markos said to Damon. He told Damon that travelers are all around him, and these people are willing to die to have better lives. I'm not sure how that would work. Maybe travelers can still move to other bodies without dying for good even when the Other Side is gone. I suppose that's possible since they predate the Other Side. What Markos said to Damon was so chilling that it left me wondering if most of the main characters could have passengers in them for some reason or another.

    I'm excited too. Stefan and Damon's familial love for each other is mutual, and it looks like Damon will move heaven and earth to save his brother, who clearly wasn't ready to die. I was also glad to see Stefan and Elena discuss Caroline so openly. I know that Nina Dobrev said in an interview that she doesn't feel that Elena is aware of Caroline's feelings for Stefan, but Elena isn't stupid. She has to have at least figured out that Stefan might be forming feelings for Caroline. From her reactions to the way Stefan talked about Caroline, I don't think Elena is the one who will object in Season 6 to any advances Caroline makes on Stefan. If she could give Damon his space, she could accept that Stefan might want to be with Caroline, even if Elena doesn't like it. Stefan and Elena have both moved on and they're in a better place. Elena and Caroline never had a true friendship, but Stefan and Elena might grow closer together as friends if she sees that Caroline makes him happy and accepts it. The problems that will be caused by Caroline deciding to chase Stefan again will probably come from Stefan. If he senses the slightest bit of discomfort from Elena or anyone else, he'll be reluctant to start anything up with Caroline. As much as I would like to see them get together after the display in last night's episode, the circumstances in Season 6 might make it too weird for Stefan. He's been darker lately and a lot more assertive, but I think part of him probably still wants to leave the door open to a future with Elena. It could be like that episode of that show "Friends," when Ross rejected Rachel's sister because he didn't want to lose any chance of ending up with Rachel somewhere down the line.

    I really liked this episode, after many past episodes of filler love stories and boredom this one was really good. The traveller story is great because they can destroy everything nontraveller magic ever created. But his death was anticlimactic. I thought that if any of the two would die their death scene would be epic, it was all of a sudden...So it made me think if he is gonna come back. If he does it would be even worse. Killing one of the main heroes and then bring them back is too much for me, still shame his death wasnt better. I thought he would kill himself to prevent traveller spell. No hero after all...
