I loved Sam and Dean tricking the angel into revealing that information. I couldn't stop cracking up. The other part that made me smile was Crowley interacting with his son and the one liners that went with the scene.
"You must be angel's" and Abby's "Wow."
"You were worried that the old man wouldn't amount to very much."
I thought that the scene between Abby and Dean was tacky. The cheesy special effects didn't help. But it was also interesting to see a bloody Dean kneeling on top of a dead Abby as a horrified Sam looks on. It was a nice call back to the scene where Bobby and Dean find out Sam is drinking demon blood.
I thought the same thing... guess the writers made a mess...again. I don't know I still can say what i think about the episode. I can't decide if i liked it or not. I'll watch again, but hopefully this "error" will be a door for Bobby come back on season 10.
The thing is I found this episode too slow. So much time with Crowley and his son. And I thought Alana acted circles around Jensen in that Abaddon vs Dean scene, which had some of its moments killed by cheesy special effects and Jensen overacting his faces. I was expecting he would do it based on previous episodes. But it's just my opinion of course. I didn't think this episode was all action packed like Jensen acted. Except for the 15 final minutes, it was an OK episode.
Abaddon should never have died this soon. But that's what happens when you try to juggle several storylines while stalling with multiple standalones for most of the season.
Apart from that, it was actually decent, and the writing, as much as it pains me to say, was pretty good at times, and some situations felt really fresh.
The only thing I did not find awesome was Crowley and his son's backstory. Too much of that slowed the episode down, when I think time would have been better spent on Sam and Dean and where they are at with each other now. I will say Mark S. gave another incredible performance. I am wondering if Sam's hurtful words to Dean has been dropped, never to be mentioned again. Both Crowley and Cas' characters were created as foils for the Winchesters. I see no need to have them developed into something more as characters. Very happy no Metatron in this one and that Gadreel (Tahmoh) was. Ackles was absolutely excellent as DarkDean while still keeping Dean right in character. Love that and want more. Goodbye, Abaddon. Alaina did an incredible job with her role.
It's all to make Dean look bada.ss with the MoC right? He even got telekynesis!!! Oh the horror of old days when Sam had it and used it to kill Alastair. But Dean using it is awesome. Wonder if they will give the importance that was Sam being possessed because Dean tricked him some attention again. If we are going to have a dark Dean in season 10, he is going to need to do some serious redemption.
You know what? Maybe that is where the writers are going. To change Dean's mind about the "I would do it again", he needs to go through exactly what Sam did. So him being totally controled by the blade would do the trick. When he gets rid of the MoC, it's when everything is going to crash down on him. So Castiel and Sam got their redemption arc. Time for Dean now.
However, for Dean to get a redemption arc Dean first has to be shown to do something wrong, and the show has always been very slow in showing Deans actions as having negative consequences. And as long as Dean continues to hold the pov then his actions will also be considered far more sympathetically and his actions more justifiable than Sam and Castiel when they do the same thing as him.
True. Dean can't have the POV if he is going full dark. But I'm inclined to think that he is going to do something really wrong in next episode and in the season finale (that being the shocking consequence). So yes I can see a redemption arc coming too, but if they go all extremely sympathetic on him, it would kill the storyline.
I didn't mind that as I felt like we were seeing some of Crowley's regrets and they put the human feelings story into something beyond just lip service. I also think they may be setting up his demise. I do agree it was out of place.
I doubt it has anything to do with pacing. She's a woman. Aside from Meg, female villains always last a season tops. Frankly I was somewhat surprised she came back at all this season. It's a waste though.
Abaddon should never have died this soon. But that's what happens when you try to juggle several storylines while stalling with multiple standalones for most of the season.
That's what happens when you're a woman on a show with little use for them.
I LOVED this episode!! Gavin was awesome. And His scenes with Crowley were hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing. And ABADDON IS DEAD FINALLY!!!! This SPN fan is happy!! Very good episode!! How I've missed the hellhounds, that scene was omg, "I'm gonna put you on speaker." LOL
Way too much time was spent on Crowley and his son. Those scenes were clearly included to pad the episode and fill the requisite 40 minutes or so they need to satisfy. A lot of that could have been cut down.
I thought the angel the boys interrogated wasn't very angelic. When the angels were first introduced in S4, they were depicted as really powerful, wise beings. They seemed beyond human emotions. This angel really seemed like a loser to me, and that threw me out of the scene. I didn't feel like I was watching an angel, but rather some poor shmoe trying to attract the "in" crowd. I don't know. It didn't feel real. I don't believe an angel - as they've been presented on this show - would act the way he did. That said, I thought the way Sam and Dean got the info out of him was smart and didn't require much effort on their part.
Cas and Gadreel - I'm pretty indifferent on this plot. I don't care about the angel civil war or if Gadreel joins Castiel. That's just not an arc that interests me.
I am happy that Dean talked more about the MoC and how it makes him feel. I have been mentioning that scenes of Dean staring into the mirror or getting drunk aren't enough to tell a story, and here, we actually got some words about how he felt. I enjoyed the scene of Dean killing Abbadon, and I like how he wouldn't stop stabbing her. For me, this was the only important thing that happened during the episode.
Sam - Don't have much to say about Sam. He's just there. I guess Sam has reflected on the time he was possessed and NOW recognizes he felt there was another presence in him?!?! Is that the story?!?! What was that about? As far as I understood it, Sam had NO idea another entity was possessing his body so how could he tell Castiel anything about Gadreel and his intentions.
It's Sam being used for whatever the plot needs from him. Again. And I thought that for someone who said he didn't trust his brother anymore, he was way too trusting when Dean tricked him. And of course in the end, Sam was glad for being tricked, because Abaddon was dead. Let's give Dean a pat on his back, since trust issues seems to be the root of the brothers problems when it comes to their relationship. What matters is that Dean was right.
I believe your probably right. It also reminds me of when Sam was "possessed" by the demon blood; the power craze...I think there is going to be a speech between Sam and Dean similar to the one in the church in the season finale or sometime early season 10 if they want to keep the arc going. Something along the lines of we've made mistakes, said hurtful things, but you're still my brother and I need you/we can fight this kinda thing (but obviously in a more manly way then I just wrote this)...Don't know if it will happen but I can hope
I foresee Season 10 as showing an angsty and whiny Dean after the mark is removed and that is what will lead to all kinds of sympathy heaped upon Dean again. It never changes. Skip Dean having a redemption arc. Just let him accept his mistakes and mature. That is what JC wanted for Sam and Dean. Now that S9 was Dean heavy lets get Sam heavy with insight and POV. This is what needs done. We had a short glimpse of Sam insight tonight and it was nice. This should have been going on quite awhile ago.
It's Sam being used for whatever the plot needs from him. Again.
I know! This is so annoying. Since when did Sam remember Gadreel being in his body. At no time did Sam regain his memories from the time when Gadreel was in control so he wouldn't know anything about him. Cas would have been better off asking Dean who actually held conversations w/Gadreel.
Argh!! I hate how Sam is walking, talking plot point at times. Who cares if it doesn't make any sense and doesn't fit w/the story we've told . . . . as long as it furthers the plot, that's the only thing that counts. SMH.
It was very anti-climatic. It was a good scene, but I wasn't overly invested. They have spent way too much time on filler, IMO. There should have been a big buildup to this confrontation but there wasn't.
The boy did raised the question of the timef*ck staying could cause, so hopefully either 1) something will happen/change or 2) the boys will send him back
You see the symmetries about this situation and Sam's demon blood addiction storyline? Back then I thought that Sam vs Lillith had a way better buildup. Now it was all let's kill Gadreel first, then we need to kill Abaddon. Well she's dead now, what's the next point? Metatron? And after that? You see, there weren't any thoughtful ideas, just let's stick up with what we think the audience is going to like more. And now is the MoC storyline.
This episode was predictable because you knew Abaddon was going to be killed by Dean by the end of the show. Same old tired crap. It's too bad that the writers of this show can never come up with anything that is surprising or unexpected. I don't even have to read spoilers or look at previews and I know what's going to happen by the end of an episode.
I thought the angel the boys interrogated wasn't very angelic. When the angels were first introduced in S4, they were depicted as really powerful, wise beings. They seemed beyond human emotions.
Anna said that, but Zachariah, Cas, and Uriel seemed emotional enough to me. I think the show sort of dropped that story when Anna didn't work out.
The angel was very drab though. I get that they were going for comedy but I wasn't invested.
The weird part is I thought the other angels (the ones at the bar, and the guy in the suit that reminded me of Jensen's '13 PCA suit) were more angel-like than I've seen on the show in a while.
Cas and Gadreel - I'm pretty indifferent on this plot. I don't care about the angel civil war or if Gadreel joins Castiel. That's just not an arc that interests me.
I feel like Gadreel is going to kill Metatron or Metatron is going to kill him, but the rest is kind of a boring leadup. They really need to have him talk to Sam if they want to do more for the character. Give him closure at least. And let Sam vent.
I will say the closeups of Tahmoh were very generous. He looked stunning, and I was pretty sure he was going to make a pass at Cas at one point...
damn it dean get that blade as far away from you as you possibly can, and i hate that crowley is this monstrous demon but he's hilarious and wow i can't believe he really does have humanity
Honestly, I didn't know any of those people were angels until the guy mentioned Metatron. They just seemed like humans, possibly co-workers where the one outcast was trying to chat it up w/the "cool" people.
And I agree that we saw emotion in Zachariah, Cas, and Uriel - but not what we saw here. What was depicted here was quite pathetic and sad. As Sam and Dean said, that guy was a loser. I don't believe we have ever seen an angel like him, which is why it bothered me.
I also think Gadreel will kill Metatron or help Castiel do it. I just hope it concludes the angel plot forever! Wishful thinking I know, but I am so sick of the angel plots.
I couldn't agree more that the Sam v. Lilith had a better buildup. It was over the course of two seasons actually. I was wholly invested in that plot and its outcome. I can't say the same about the Abbadon v. Dean fight. We all knew Dean would eventually stake her. It was just a matter of time.
Sadly, the MoC arc is the ONLY interesting arc - IMO - that they have going on right now. Nothing else is happening. There's the angel civil war, but I couldn't care less about any of that.
I must say that it did work for me. I thought they were humans and wondered why we were seeing these people until the one guy mentioned Metatron and then I realized they were angels. Once I knew they were angels, I was disappointed in the way they were portrayed. I guess I am a fan of the way angels were portrayed in S4.
I hope the angels will be gone by season's end. They are beyond boring. Reopen Heaven (or find the portal) and send them all home! Please!
I feel like the stories with Lilith and Abaddon were never about them, but what happened after they died. That's where I think they dropped the ball with Sam. I don't know what they will do this time around.
Yes, the ball was completely dropped in S5 w/Sam, but the buildup was good. Haha!
The opposite may happen w/Dean. The aftermath of him using the Blade and killing Abbadon may be better than the buildup, which has been non-existent IMO.
It's not a mess yet. When Bobby summoned Gavin, Gavin told him that Crowley sold his soul for an extra three inches. In this episode Gavin found out for the first time that his father sold his soul for an extra three inches. Plus ghost Gavin look older than this Gavin, so it is possible that Gavin always came forward then went back into time.
Possibly. I have enjoyed the buildup thus far but I don't know what the future will bring. I'm glad we may get to see more of the darkness unfolding in these last two episodes.
This time it's all about Dean. The ball will not only not be dropped, it will be protected like a fragile egg and then examined over and over so we can see oh how hard this all is on Dean. Sam will be silent.
Now that S9 was Dean heavy lets get Sam heavy with insight and POV. Oh, that's so funny! Sam getting insight and a POV. Biggest laugh of the night. Sam will never, ever get a POV. Sam come back from the Cage, no POV. Sam is possessed, no POV. Cas asks Sam about being possessed, it is all about how GADREEL felt, Sam is chopped liver.
I really liked this episode. Such a difference from the last week's joke. Excellent performances were delivered from most of the cast, story was moved forward a lot (Dean going darker, Sam being smarter, Castiel being strategic for a change, Crawley being...hilarious and manipulative himself, Abaddon being dead). Lots of things happened actually made sense. Build-up for season finale is on the way. But of course this discussion (as any for many years) will turn into Dean/Sam fans fight, "not enough (insert name)" and so.
While we're talking about Sam, I do think there were several good Sam scenes in this. The way he took over that interrogation of the angel to make sure Dean didn't get to torture him. And his talk with Cas about Gadreel, which reminded of Sam's compassion and heart.
Jensen blew me away in the moment after he killed Abaddon, when he looked so helpless, so lost.
Crowley and son interested me, as Crowley's humanity is now a weakness and we're seeing him face his past, but it shouldn't have been some of the last scenes.
I knew Abaddon would probably die, but I wish she hadn't. And her death scene being so gory...it bothered me, considering the way women are treated on this show.
The wind machine was hilarious.
Cas seemed out of place - his scenes with Dean were a little odd.
I thought this was a much better episode than usual for these particular writers, but I wish they'd stop with the misogyny.
Also, you look at all the big bads. Azazel - 6 episodes over 2 seasons, 3 post-death. Lilith 4 over two seasons, Lucifer - 6 episodes, plus 4 as a hallucination in season 7, Dick Roman - 6 episodes, Abaddon - 9 episodes.
You need a broader circler of television shows if you think that's an Emmy performance. Jensen is a great actor...by CW standards. Hes a "pretty good" actor by the entirety of TV standards.
I've seen a lot of people complaining about Sam and Dean not knowing about Gavin, because there was "Weekend at Bobby's." What they are appearing to not understand is that Gavin no longer dies on the trip to America, meaning he's never summoned by Bobby and Rufus, meaning Sam and Dean would (if they ever even were) not be aware of Gavin's existence in season 6. Time travel, ripple effects, etc....
But people seem to need a reason to find something to bitch about with these writers.
I enjoyed this episode, a little slow in the beginning but overall it was entertaining and I'm enjoying the MoC story. I also really enjoyed the Castiel/Gadreel scenes even thought I'm not connecting with the Angel War Storyline.
I watch a broader circle of TV shows and I've seen some stinky, stinky performances win Emmys.
I think Jensen's a great actor, not just by CW standards. He's not in some elite, but he's very good. I don't care about the Emmys so I'm not going to say he should win one, but I don't think he's somehow undeserving.
AWESOME! How can anyone complain about this ep? Totally didn't see Crowley's son popping up! Dean going dark, whoah. Glad they are trying to use Gadreel against Metatron. Casteil's HQ was pretty awesome. Glad Abaddon is dead, although I will miss Alana Huffman. How is Sam going to keep Dean from going too dark? Fantastic ep. This season has been sooooo good. Can't wait to see how the angel battle will play out & how it takes us into S10. This show is totally awesome and it hasn't missed a beat.
I thought seeing the promoting picture, it would be an other angel boring episode but I was wrong, I really liked this episode, just because Sam and Dean finally shared a fun moment together, they talked. I truly missed it, and waited for it for more 11 episodes. 11 is really too long for a show based on these 2 characters but today I just want to enjoy theses few moments between the brothers.
The story was fair, but the acting sold it. Jensen was award winning. Jared was not far behind him. Abbydon should never have thought Dean was incapable of hurting her. She learned the hard way as many before her did. Crowley is not that stupid.
I believe it would be much worse for logic and continuity if Gavin would NOT go on that ship in 1723. It could very well be that he returns to his time somewhere in our future and still dies at sea. That would be like LOST's "whatever happened, happened". But now that I write about this I remember that Titanic episode from Season 6, where Balthazar just changed history so the Titanic wouldn't sink. That worked without the "whatever happened, happened principle" (I think) and without a paradox. But weren't there Reapers killing the offspring of 1912*s "new survivors"? Could have consequences for Gavin somewhere in the future... but I don't recall much of the Titanic episode, though. It's been a long time!
Fate was going around and killing the people who shouldn't be alive, trying to course correct. But the world had been fundamentally changes, stuff like Cuba being a vacation destination, Detroit thriving, Impalas never being manufactured, etc...
I have heard complaints about Sam not having a POV, Sam not being used, Sam not having friends for a couple of years now. Sam has had the mytharc for eight years. I see no problem with Dean having the mytharc this year. I don't think the problem is that Sam has no POV. Sam has also had plenty POV throughout his eight years of mytharc and even in this season. He gave his POV by disowning Dean as a brother. He has given his POV in this episode: Sam is worried about what the Blade is doing to Dean. He thinks it is 'changing' Dean. I don't think that it's a matter of POV; rather, not liking the stories Sam has been given. Personally, I am enjoying the fact that for eight years, Dean has been the one character that has always been loyal and dependable; the character that has always held the family together (remember just last year, Dean was the homemaker/guilty cheerleader)...and now he is not that rock. Dean is now the crazy one with something supernatural about him. I find it interesting that Sam even thinks he has some pull with Dean to not use the Blade, yet he does want him to use it to kill Crowley (and probably Metatron). Until I hear something from Sam about his mean and hateful words to Dean, I am rolling my eyes at his "worry" and his efforts to "protect" Dean from the Blade, while still wanting to hold Dean's use of it in reserve. It does seem like this is a true re-write of Sam's demon blood story. I was hoping for something more creative from the writers than just a retelling of Sam's story, but....
Yes, "If I didn't know you I would want to hunt you was cruel". Oh! that was Dean, so fine by YOU. "I just don't know if we can ever be what we were" was harsh, but Dean AGAIN. "I just don't think I can trust you" cuts to the quick, oh shucks, that's Dean too! "At least he'll die human" Dean again.
Funny when it's Dean being hideous you are hunky dory fine with the mental and physical abuse. Now I realize that you think Dean is such a fragile flower that a paper cut to him is like third degree burns for any other human being and he should be coddled and petted and praised even when he turns his brother over to Gad, Zeke or Crowley, but I am not impressed.
We have had years of Dean's self pity and very little look at Sam's emotional life. You may ignore that fact, but it IS true.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved Sam and Dean tricking the angel into revealing that information. I couldn't stop cracking up. The other part that made me smile was Crowley interacting with his son and the one liners that went with the scene.

ReplyDeleteAnna said that, but Zachariah, Cas, and Uriel seemed emotional enough to me.
ReplyDeleteNow it was all let's kill Gadreel first, then we need to kill Abaddon. Well she's dead now, what's the next point?
ReplyDeleteThe point is probably that Dean's problems won't go away just because Abaddon is gone.
Abaddon wasn't the main threat here. The main threat is what Dean is doing to himself, similar to what Sam was doing to himself in season 4.
Honestly, I didn't know any of those people were angels until the guy mentioned Metatron. They just seemed like humans, possibly co-workers where the one outcast was trying to chat it up w/the "cool" people.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree that we saw emotion in Zachariah, Cas, and Uriel - but not what we saw here.
I think that was the idea (to fool us into thinking they were regular people), but it didn't quite work.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Cas and Uriel. It's why I was such a fan. Zachariah, he was such a cliche I hated watching him.
I think at the very least we're heading toward most of the angels being gone. I think by the end of the season it's going to just be Cas, if even him.
The wind machine was ridiculous. The rest, Jensen sold it.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more that the Sam v. Lilith had a better buildup. It was over the course of two seasons actually. I was wholly invested in that plot and its outcome. I can't say the same about the Abbadon v. Dean fight. We all knew Dean would eventually stake her. It was just a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteSadly, the MoC arc is the ONLY interesting arc - IMO - that they have going on right now.
ReplyDeleteI hope the angels will be gone by season's end. They are beyond boring. Reopen Heaven (or find the portal) and send them all home! Please!
I feel like the stories with Lilith and Abaddon were never about them, but what happened after they died. That's where I think they dropped the ball with Sam. I don't know what they will do this time around.
ReplyDeleteYou're right - the fakeout worked. I mostly meant the character that was bragging about Metatron. He didn't quite work for me.
ReplyDeleteYes, the ball was completely dropped in S5 w/Sam, but the buildup was good. Haha!
ReplyDeleteThe opposite may happen w/Dean. The aftermath of him using the Blade and killing Abbadon may be better than the buildup, which has been non-existent IMO.
Yes! That was was completely off! I'm not sure why he was written like a pathetic human in that scene. I didn't get that angel.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a mess yet.
ReplyDeleteTrue. That makes a lot of sense.
ReplyDeletePossibly. I have enjoyed the buildup thus far but I don't know what the future will bring. I'm glad we may get to see more of the darkness unfolding in these last two episodes.
ReplyDeleteThis time it's all about Dean. The ball will not only not be dropped, it will be protected like a fragile egg and then examined over and over so we can see oh how hard this all is on Dean. Sam will be silent.
ReplyDeleteNow that S9 was Dean heavy lets get Sam heavy with insight and POV.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so funny!
Sam come back from the Cage, no POV.
ReplyDeleteHaha so true. And yet we got Dean making breakfast to Lisa and Ben. Not one scene about what happened to Sam when he just got out.
ReplyDeleteBut of course this discussion (as any for many years) will turn into Dean/Sam fans fight, "not enough (insert name)" and so.
While we're talking about Sam, I do think there were several good Sam scenes in this. The way he took over that interrogation of the angel to make sure Dean didn't get to torture him. And his talk with Cas about Gadreel, which reminded of Sam's compassion and heart.
ReplyDeleteJensen blew me away in the moment after he killed Abaddon, when he looked so helpless, so lost.
Im missing the Trickster aka the fun angel...
ReplyDeleteThey had to recast, so I don't think looking older/younger is meant to mean anything,.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you look at all the big bads. Azazel - 6 episodes over 2 seasons, 3 post-death. Lilith 4 over two seasons, Lucifer - 6 episodes, plus 4 as a hallucination in season 7, Dick Roman - 6 episodes, Abaddon - 9 episodes.
ReplyDeleteYou need a broader circler of television shows if you think that's an Emmy performance.
ReplyDeleteJensen is a great actor...by CW standards. Hes a "pretty good" actor by the entirety of TV standards.
I was very nervous when it seemed those writers were given such an important episode. But compared to their other episodes this one was incredible.
ReplyDeleteI hope not. Oh god I hope not.
ReplyDeleteI loved that wow
ReplyDeleteI've seen a lot of people complaining about Sam and Dean not knowing about Gavin, because there was "Weekend at Bobby's." What they are appearing to not understand is that Gavin no longer dies on the trip to America, meaning he's never summoned by Bobby and Rufus, meaning Sam and Dean would (if they ever even were) not be aware of Gavin's existence in season 6. Time travel, ripple effects, etc....
ReplyDeleteBut people seem to need a reason to find something to bitch about with these writers.
I know :-)
ReplyDeleteYou and I disagree about the buildup of this story. I feel it's been poor to nonexistent, but I expect the aftermath to be much better.
I enjoyed this episode, a little slow in the beginning but overall it was entertaining and I'm enjoying the MoC story. I also really enjoyed the Castiel/Gadreel scenes even thought I'm not connecting with the Angel War Storyline.
ReplyDeleteI loved it! No complaints whatsoever. (Which is new for me). It was bloody awesome!
ReplyDeleteI watch a broader circle of TV shows and I've seen some stinky, stinky performances win Emmys.
ReplyDeleteI think Jensen's a great actor, not just by CW standards.
ReplyDeleteI thought seeing the promoting picture, it would be an other angel boring episode but I was wrong, I really liked this episode, just because Sam and Dean finally shared a fun moment together, they talked. I truly missed it, and waited for it for more 11 episodes. 11 is really too long for a show based on these 2 characters but today I just want to enjoy theses few moments between the brothers.
ReplyDeleteAnd wouldn't you think, with seeing what that blade did to THE REST of the Knights of Hell, that Abaddon would have been a WEE more careful?
ReplyDeleteThe story was fair, but the acting sold it. Jensen was award winning. Jared was not far behind him. Abbydon should never have thought Dean was incapable of hurting her. She learned the hard way as many before her did. Crowley is not that stupid.
ReplyDeleteI believe it would be much worse for logic and continuity if Gavin would NOT go on that ship in 1723.
ReplyDeleteTo sum it up: Gavin raises a lot of questions. :D
Fate was going around and killing the people who shouldn't be alive, trying to course correct. But the world had been fundamentally changes, stuff like Cuba being a vacation destination, Detroit thriving, Impalas never being manufactured, etc...
ReplyDeleteI have heard complaints about Sam not having a POV, Sam not being used, Sam not having friends for a couple of years now. Sam has had the mytharc for eight years. I see no problem with Dean having the mytharc this year.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the problem is that Sam has no POV.
ReplyDeleteFunny when it's Dean being hideous you are hunky dory fine with the mental and physical abuse.
I loved it, yeah the special effects were terrible when Dean killed Abaddon but man was it better than last week!!
