  1. "Where did you park?"
    "Outside"
    Top notch writing.
Besides that pretty good finale, other than being pretty uneventful. It felt like there should be one more episode.

    The finale was...OK.

  3. Did anyone notice the twist at the end? I didn't realize it at first. They show Martin Bellamy having a crescent-shaped birthmark on his neck, which is exactly how the African American couple described their baby son. That means that Bellamy is actually one of the resurrected, it's just that he arrived decades before the rest of his family. Remember how in an earlier episode Bellamy told Jacob he was adopted, and that he had no idea who his birth parents were?

  4. O_O I was wondering why the showed that. I forgot about the kid with the birthmark. Mind blown

  5. pretty good finale, that had some good development and a bit of a twisty cliffhanger - is Marty a Returned himself or did he just survive the flood that was brought up earlier and washed up somewhere else and was rescued? I'm assuming that he was a baby/toddler when it happened, so I'd guess that he was a survivor as he didn't seem to have the other Returned habits: eating a lot, no sleep. etc. I hope that we get at least one more season even just to give us answers and wrap things up

  6. Awesome finale, but I still need more, 8 episodes wasn't enough! Awesome reveal that Agent Bellamy was a Returned or perhaps didn't even die in that flood thing. I thought that Fred wanting to hurt all of the Returned just since his wife said 'No' to him, that was so sad. I hope we get a second season, there's so much more to be sad, such as those dead bugs everywhere, it feels as if every life returned takes another in payment. A life for a life. Thankfully that old church lady found a returned she liked and didn't have anything rude to say this time.

  7. He is a returned, that family died when the Langstons grandfather was still alive. (Otherwise that would make Marty about as old as Henry - or something around that.)

    Great finally btw.

  8. wouldn't the thompsons or at least the mom be able to tell that bellamy is her son, mother's intuition and all that

  9. Wait, was it mentioned how long ago that family died, though? Because I also got the impression that perhaps Bellamy survived somehow as a baby. If he is one of the "returned," then why isn't he exhibiting any of their habits as others have mentioned? It's definitely his family. But I was confused as to whether he is a "returned" or just survived somehow...

  10. He said on the side. I had my captions on.

  11. Exact dates weren't given, but what I remember from the talk at the table at the start of the ep:
    - Family worked for Henry's grandfather
    - They were housed at a place near water (where a flood was possible), Henry didn't know this, indicating (to me) that that was before his time
    - Taking into account Henry's age and my guess of what time this family came from
I conclude that Marty must have returned.
Of course, this is all speculation, but I think I'm right. As for why he returned earlier, dunno. Also, we don't know what kind of habits he shares with the others, maybe he is just ignoring them or he overcame them as a result of being so long back.

  12. No one find it odd, that the military use svu to intercept escapees.

  13. Well, considering that they were housed at the old factory back when Henry Langston's grandfather was running it, and Henry Langston is an old man now, that means that they're from a long time ago, too long I think for Martin Bellamy to even be alive now if he was a baby then. So he has to be resurrected.

  14. I don't think it's possible that he didn't die in the flood. The African American man was a carpenter working at the factory when Henry Langston's grandfather ran things, and Henry Langston is an old man now. So Martin Bellamy would be long dead if he survived the flood.

  16. maybe it will be explianed in season 2 if it gets renewed fingers crossed

  17. I've never said about a season finale but that was serious bullshit. I mean, this can't be the end of a season, if it were the end of a mid-season finale, OK! But, we have to wait almost one year to see what happens next IF it gets renewed. I'm sure it will since the ratings are good. But still, I was so disappointed.

I really like Resurrection! and I also really liked this episode. The season finale was great but to my opinion, this season was way to short, It had me hooked from episode 1 do. Hopefully they get a full season pickup (that means it will be back very soon!!) If not than we have to wait a long time to see how it will go further from here.

  19. If the show gets renewed, they need to pick up the pace. Not much happened in this finale other than the military taking over and the reveal of Martin's origins.

  20. why do the original returned (jacob, richardson, and rachael) not seemed fazed by modern technology but the new returned don't understand it

    ReplyDelete
  21. I knew it too as soon as the mother said it ... mostly because I'd read the synopsis and there was something that said that the returned are connected with Bellamy's past.
Also, they showed him right after she said that ... that made it pretty obvious =P

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh right, I was just so shocked, I forgot about that, thanks :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yep, pretty obvious as you said!
I'm really glad that someone who's not from Arcadia is actually connected to returned!

    ReplyDelete
  24. True that. I keep thinking each of the returned probably has a purpose. Really hoping that it comes back in the fall ... making us wait for another year is brutal!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yep! And what did you think of the beetles? I mean, the little insects that Marty and Jacob stepped on.. :) To me it was clearly : a beetle = a returned!
I do hope it comes back in Fall!

    ReplyDelete
  26. That is a good theory. I'm guessing it probably has to do with themes from the Bible ... resurrection, the plague, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The news sites are all saying that they're pretty sure it will be renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just watched it, oh how I loathe that sheriff. Really hope this gets a season two. And a third, and I hope season three is the last and will give answers but this is is ABC SO who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Maybe he's not one of the resurrected. Maybe he survived the tempest and was adopted as a baby.
