Excellent. Abbott figured out that Jane loves Lisbon and is trying to push Jane into doing something about it. Jane just can't do it. Come on Jane.

pretty interesting FBI tactic to use Jane as bait to take down a prosecutor....

  6. My heart is breaking! Patrick needs to tell Teresa he loves her before it's too late.

"The Mentalist" gets better and better with each episode. CBS, renew this awesome show! Please!

  7. For some reason the last scene reminded me of a scene in "Fugue in Red" when Jane loses his memory and tells Lisbon to let him be happy by letting him go rather than force him to regain his memory and stay with the CBI. Sort of the same situation, except that their roles are reversed. Excellent episode, I almost shed a tears the ending.

  8. Loved this episode, the little comedy parts (loved when he told the guy playing with his jacket that it was serious and pay attention). All the team old and new were involved...and of course the jane Lisbon thing:) jane hasn't been with anyone for a long time only his wife..Lisbon should know this and she is clearly just waiting for Jane to stop her going. Please just ask him before settling for second best Lisbon, he is the one:) PLEASE RENEW THIS AMAZING SHOW!!!

  10. From the looks of these comments i'm the only one that isn't a Jane & Lisbon shipper. Those parts of the ep kinda bored me, an found the idea that Abbot was pushing Jane into admitting to himself that he wants a relationship with Lisbon a bit farfetched. 2 "agents" having a relationship wouldn't exactly be good for him.

  11. I loved the episode. It had everything, the story, the dialogue, the sting, Jane as bate, the arc of human trafficking and painful relationship details and how two men feel about the same woman and how they tell her. This relationship if it comes off, could be very entertaining. Jane is anything but boring and a life with him would be crazy and enjoyable in so many ways. I can't wait to see where this leads. I love the subtleness and the nuances of relationships. Paying attention. Well done writers, actors and crew - the show often manages to touch me were pain and joy reside, my heart.

  12. I feel ya! Lots of shippers around and everyone is entitled ton their opinion but I agree. I think too much is being made of their relationship. Jane is sad to see his longtime friend/partner go and wants her to be happy. Pike is a decent guy. Jane's the type of guy that if he had feelings for a woman he wouldn't be afraid or need to be pushed to admit them. He could seduce Lisbon in 2 seconds like he did the mobster's girlfriend.

  13. Simon Baker is so amazing with those subtle comedy bits. I loved when he saved the mobster the from choking and said to the woman "Choking?", that was hilarious!

  14. Jane did say to Lisbon once that he wouldn't seduce her over a meal, she isn't a mark, but someone who knows who he really is and still cares for him and defends him to the hilt (Saying to the Prosecutor - Go to hell - before she knew it was an Abbott sting), someone who is honest and in Jane's world that is not the norm. I believe Jane also feels unworthy and still guilty about how his actions resulted in the death of his wife and child. Revenge had not given him peace as he had hoped it would.
