Anybody else feel like there should be like... 10 more episodes this season? This is the one show I watch where 22 is simply not enough. I can't get enough of these characters...
Does this mean next season we'll have Lockhart/Agos, and Alicia Florrick, S.A.? (Under her own husband?)
Season 5 really does make for "a weird year." I need season 6 immediately. :|
Holy mother!!!! THAT was an amazing finale. So sad it's over. Overall, Season 5 has to be one of my favorite seasons of television I have seen in a while. Can't wait for September!
Poor Diane and Alicia, First the merger is on then off then Cary sabotages and Finally Diane asked to see if they would take her on with her 38 Million in billable hours! Too Funny!
HOLY CRAP! A HUNDRED TIMES YES! I feel like they've been building up to that final scene ever since Alicia first did a TV interview back in s2!!! As soon as the camera zoomed in on Eli, I was knew exactly what he was thinking! What a cliffhanger! (I don't think Alicia will want to go into politics, but with this show, you never know...)
And holy smokes, there were so many twists and turns, just a brilliant finale of a brilliant 5th season! P.S.: Who in their right mind would vote Awful to any TGW episode?!? O.o
YES! I wanted Diane back with the gang very badly. And now that Will is gone (forever mourning), it is only natural for her to work with Cary and Alicia again. This will also allow us to have Kalinda with Alicia, Kalinda with work!Cary, and David Lee versus Diane, which will be the highlight of my life. Btw, there is room for Canning to stay on. Any news on Michael Fox's plans?
And now for a lawyerly question: can Alicia run? Not familiar with the law in Illinois, but pretty sure there would be impediments on other states, considering her husband is the governor. Either way, if she could, and she did, I think I might throw a TGW party of one.
Love Diane asking to joining F&A at the end, hell yes! Ouch at the Cary/Alicia fallout that was brutal, had to laugh when Clarke and the other Carey were fighting over the conference phone. Alicia as SA would be interesting but surely there would be a whole lot of ethical issues to contend with - we need that strange strange Marilyn to come back and explain!
The Good Wife continues to be one of the best shows on network TV. This season was insane! The fact that the show lost one of my favorite characters (Will) and still managed to stay strong is just a testimony to how good the writers are.
I suspected that Eli would ask her to run, and I really hope Alicia turns him down. I also love the idea of Diane wanting to join Florick Agos. I really hope that Alicia and Cary don't have a falling out. Cary is right in thinking that it would be crazy for Alicia to want to merge with Lockhart/Gardner, At the same time, I think that if Cary spent a day in Alicia's shoes, he'd understand why she's so tired! Cary and Kalinda are perhaps one of the most toxic couples ever, and at this point, there is absolutely nothing entertaining about that relationship; it just makes me dislike Kalinda, who used to be one of my favorite characters (it also makes Cary look like a fool for continuing to trust her). Veronica and Jackie were also incredibly annoying in this episode, LOL. Altogether, I enjoyed the finale, but I think that a lot of other episodes during the season were actually better than the finale
There have also been a lot of great appearances from minor characters, which is another thing I loe about this show: Some of my favorite minor characters have included Robyn, Finn (nice that he was promoted to regular), David Lee and Clarke (who should also be a regular) and of course Elsbeth Tascioni.
I hope Alicia turns down the offer, too, but hopefully it'll plant the seed of running for something else! :) And the feud between Florick, Agos, Lockhart, and the new "non LG" firm is going to be epic! David Lee vs. Alicia/Diane should be terrific. FINALLY Kalinda and Alicia can be friends again (plus, Alicia's separated so she should be able to forgive). Lots and lots of possibilies!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

What?
ReplyDeleteI love this show! Definitely a weird year, but oh how good. I'll miss this story, but it will be nice to be able to catch my breath.

Overall: perfection, writers, perfection.

ReplyDeleteIf Alicia goes for SA then it proves everything Cary was saying in their argument. She would care more about herself than fucking over the firm.
