So is Reid the official beat up victim of the show. Don't get me wrong I enjoy him and I like seeing him get into danger sometimes but I feel like he is the go to guy for injuries now. Shot in the leg (though to be fair that was to cover for his knee he had surgery on in real life), girlfriend shot in front you, kidnapped by Tobias and tortured, drug problems etc. I was genuinly expecting them to pick two other characters besides Morgan and Reid for a change for injuries. Maybe JJ or Rossi for a change.
Just finished watching Criminal Minds, found myself crying & yelling "REID!!! REID!!! NO!!! REID!!! GET UP! WAKE UP! NO!!!" Damn you cliffhangers!
I panicked when I saw that Reid had blood in his mouth when they laid his head back against the cruiser, that normally means serious internal bleeding or injuries.
From the trailer, we know that Morgan's gonna be fine, but it's Reid that worries me!
I love all the characters on Criminal Minds, but so help me, I WILL quit watching this show if they kill off my wonderful Spencer Reid!
He was banged up pretty good in the season five finale. And then he drove that ambulance with the bomb in the season four opener and had to jump out and he was hurt a bit there, too. And Foyet attacked him at one point and stole his credentials. So he's had a few moments of his own. Not to the extent Reid has, though, no-it's truly a miracle that Reid isn't in a full body cast at this point.
You're welcome! Never hurts to ask and double check on these things. About the only character who's somehow avoided being roughed up by an unsub in some form seems to be Rossi :p.
You are right that everyone on the show is talented-it's the cast chemistry as a whole that makes this show click. You're also right that this is not the first time Reid's been in danger (far, far from it). The main reason anyone's nervous about him this time around, though, is because Matthew's contract is up for renewal and we've got no news yet on whether or not he'll return. And yes, I adore Reid, but I'd feel the same way I do now if another cast member was in this kind of danger and their contract had yet to be renewed. I don't want anyone on the team to leave-it would feel weird/off without any one of them there. On a different note, "the freak"? Really?
He is very eccentric in many ways, yes...but that's part of his appeal for many of his fans :D. Won't argue on the episodes he does being creepy, too-course, part of that is the writers as well. There's some people on this writing staff with very demented minds, LOL. Appreciate the apology, though :). And to each their own, too-that's another great thing about this show, every character has their fanbase, so if one doesn't grab you there's another that will.
Where in the trailer do you see that Morgan is fine? It's the contrary, we see Reid survives and is on the hospital bed. There is not one single scene with Morgan so I think he is more in danger than Reid.
Morgan is standing in the Pow Wow with the team discussing the cops. Reid's in serious life-threatening condition in the hospital but according to the trailer also - apparently Garcia will save him from a bad guy, shortly after regaining consciousness..
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
OH. MY. GOD.
ReplyDeleteNo. No. Nononononononononono... Oh, Reid!
