I am breathing the biggest sigh of relief right now, I can't even tell you. I am fine with that ending. It's been nice knowing you, Alex, I will miss you. That ending got me all teary-eyed. The book in Reid's bag! Awwwww...
Thank you CBS! So relieved. I'm glad it was semi-Reid centric, haven't had those in a while. This season has been severely lacking in him. Maybe next season.
I would love it next season if they gave him some happier storylines. If he meets someone again (and things actually work out!) and if things in his life in general begin to look up overall-maybe they can try and nab Jane Lynch and he can see his mom again or something, too.
Hehe, I must confess to liking a bit of that, too. A lot of my favorite episodes do seem to involve him being in danger... But yeah, I like your genius idea, too. Like you said, anything goes.
Angels and Demons were both great season finale episodes. Action packed and tense. It was the perfect send-off for Blake. Reid knew what was happening with Blake, so he offered a heart felt and finale goodbye to her as Blake left his apartment. Reid finding Blake's badge in his bag was the most poignant goodbye and more powerful than any dialogue could deliver.
Yeah, I really liked that for once Reid actually got to have a proper goodbye with someone close to him, and that this time, they left for a good reason. That was a nice change of pace.
I did not expect Blake to leave after two seasons. I was afraid it was going to be Garcia or JJ since I've heard rumors of one or both of them leaving the show. But I'm happy that it wasn't the case.
I didn't mind Alex, but I was betting on one of the core calling it quits or dying. So the show has had 6 send offs: 1) Elle becoming a vigilante, 2) Gideon disappearing because Patinkin didn't like the show any more, 3) JJ forced into a promotion after desperately fighting to save a family, 4) Prentiss having her death faked, 5) Prentiss again leaving... no fanfare and 6) Blake quietly walking away. This one seemed the most intimate because it was so simple.
I read somewhere that as long as Jane Lynch is on Glee NBC won't allow her to guest star on CBS. I don't watch the show but I'm guessing she's on contract for next year? If so, no mama Reid.
Yeah, it's kinda time for Reid to get his dues, he's been going from one bad situation to the next since season 6. I'd love if they could get him a girlfriend who is his intellectual match yet somehow very different from him.
Oh, really? Aw, darn, that's a shame. I don't know if she'll be on for next season yet or not (I do watch the show and I don't know yet what the hell their plan will be for next season yet, it all sounds so chaotic in general). But that news makes me kinda hope she won't be returning next year so that she can have a chance to show up. Agree wholeheartedly on your second paragraph. With all the little moments this season where Reid talked about fatherhood and then that episode where he delivered that baby, I do wonder if they will eventually build up to that. Guess we'll see.
Great, that showdown in the junkyard was awesome. So are we suppose to think that thing on the plane was Blake texting Hotch her resignation? I was worried Garcia would die. I thought I heard her actress was leaving.
I was starting to really like Blake on the team, it was sad to see her leave, but a fitting exit for her character. Was it her choice not to renew her contract? I hope they keep the team like this for a while, it always takes fams some time to adjust to a new character.
Can we also talk about the fact that Reid still carries around the book Maeve gave him............. :'( still not over that death..
I teared up when he brought the book out of the bag. Awwwww. For a brief moment there earlier this week I wondered if Maeve would put in some surprise appearance in the episode-Reid seeing her while he was out of it or something.
I never really cared much for Blake, she's alright but not someone I'll miss. The thing is with all this talk about cast member leaving the show I'm a bit worried, cause the first few seasons the cases were great but now I pretty much watch it for the characters, so if either Garcia, Reid or Morgan leave I would really consider dropping it.
I actually didn't know there rumours of anyone leaving the show. I am sad to see Blake leave, I finally got used to her being there and now she is gone.

ReplyDeleteI love me some Reid whomp, but yeah, something happy for a change. Or something that only he can figure out because hes a genius. Anything, really.

ReplyDeleteKind of reminded me of Gideon, mainly because both him and Blake chose to say good bye to Reid. It was a really good ending.

ReplyDeleteSo come on Paget Brewster... round 3?

Glee is on Fox and it is ending this year. She does a game show in the Spring on NBC though.

ReplyDeleteErmmm, have I missed something? Did we know Jeanne was leaving?
