On the bright side, the new dress is ten times better than the old one.
I am so sorry to say this finale was worst than the season 5 one! This show has jumped the shark! I was ok until they proved to me there are unworthy! AWM should be removed!
wow, what a fun ep... lots of fun interplay, but that ending!!!!! what a way to turn things on a dime.... I can only guess that maybe this will have something to do with Castle's father perhaps.....
I love it, an amazing cliffhanger, I can't wait for Season 7 premiere. I undestand why Stana tweeted Guns and Roses' song "November rain" a month ago. lol
Yeah...the difference is that you're away it's a TV show. The characters themselves, not so much. It's to build suspense and drama though what the characters experience, not to build suspense and drama within you. There's no one way to do a cliffhanger, and very of them are created to get the same kind of response.
ignore the haters! cliffhanger for the win! Bracken could do this to destroy their marriage and use to get out of jail free card or something like that
The ep was ok but i hated the end. If they do a time jump that will mean that they spent over half the season going over every freaking detail of the wedding just to discard it. If there is no time jump and are able to get married anyway their special will always be tainted by those events. They could have find a better and less cliche twist for the ending. Honestly i am beginning to think that AWM have no idea what to do with the show anymore.
As my prediction to what will happend in 7x01, i don't think it is 3xk. I think the goal here is to hurt beckett by taking the thing she love the most. So my guess will be retaliation from Bracken, but i like to see someone else, maybe someone they arrested in the past and hold a grudge against beckett. At least that would be unpredictable.
At least we know Castle is renewed. I was so piss when i learned they canceled the glades like that. They could at least have ordered a shortened season to wrap it up.
There is no suspense. It's empty drama. He will live, there will no be no lasting or dire consequences. Whether or not it's achieved through TV bullshit or a time jump, Castle and Beckett will be back solving murders by Episode 2.
Cliffhangers have one purpose and that's to create suspense and anticipation for next season. It failed on both fronts IMO.
There is more than one way to create suspense and anticipation, and I said there is more than one type of cliffhanger.
This kind of cliffhanger is NOT created to raise suspense through his possible death, it's created to raise suspense on how the characters will REACT to his death.
We know he's not dead, the characters don't. Right now, the question isn't "Is Castle alive?" it's "Where is he? What really happened? Who took him? How will everyone react? Will there be a time jump? How will they find out he's alive?"
Those are just some of the questions that THIS kind of cliffhanger creates, and if you're not wondering even one of those things then you weren't going to be satisfied either way.
I enjoyed the Caskett moments and Beckett wearing her mom's dress and her moments with Lanie and Martha. What a tragic ending, no doubt Bracken getting revenge. Castle was probably kidnapped and his minions drove the car off the embankment. Hopefully we get a wedding early next season.
When I didnt see Scott Paulin in the credits I knew there wouldnt be a wedding :(
Well I'm pissed. That ending just made me feel bitter about the entire ep. Why would you do something soooo predictable!! Cmon! Why?! i mean if you were going to muck up the wedding why have her where that dress if whe is going to have to do a redo seriously that's just mean.
On tonight episode of #Castle. I was upset on how they ended it. However, 2 hours later I can understand why they ended the way they did. We would have had a wedding, we all would have aah and ooh. Then we would have forgot about it, yes we would have remembered they they are married but that would have been it. How would they begin 7x01 having her talk about her honeymoon. Boring.
This cliffhanger set them up for a bigger 7x01. Right now Beckett is in shock, unable to think. I have a feeling she is going to take Rick's death harder then her mother's murder. Then the coroner or Lanie is going to find something that does not add up. The body in the car is not Rick. That is when we will see the true Beckett come out. She, will have to put the pieces together to find Castle. She will realize in order to save Castle she has to start thinking like a cop.
The only question now is who has Castle? Several theories someone higher then Bracken has him but then that leads to another question. Who? The next theory would be 3xk, but then that would be to soon to open a new season with him. The other, would be it has something to do with his father. But, we been there and done that. Again the theories are endless, and may be again it has nothing at all to do with Bracken, 3xk, or his father. Its something much sinister that we have yet to realize, but then again we have all summer long to think on it.
Only thing I know is I am over being upset. I am going to enjoy my summer this year. When September arrives, I will be there to see what happens next. #Castle #CaskettAlways
I thought it was okay nothing great. But it did a fun episode until the ending which something that I don't expect. I wish more actually and it seems like just a 'meh' as a finale. But I do still excited for Season 7 bring it on. I wish for a better story and make audience and fans why we love this show.
Here is my recap and also thought on the finale: http://etvmadness.blogspot.com/2014/05/castle-s06e23-for-better-or-for-worse.html

Plus. Castle even gave us a hint on whats to come. It's a sign that ours is a great love story..what is a great love story without obstacles to overcome?! Every fairytale has one! - Richard Castle.
Yes, some will say that Beckett went through enough obstacles, well those obstacle has been there since the show aired. This new obstacle is about how far would she (Beckett) would go to save Castle. We know what Castle would do, we seen that in Target and Hunt. Now its Beckett's turn.
Some say that Beckett's character is ruined. I say its ruined, but like anything else you have to demolish the old to build something new.
Dear Marlow, it's either one trope or the other. Not both. Geez.
Saw the car crash coming a mile away. Cheesy and cliche as it is, I'm glad they did it because I'm really looking forward to see Kate break down. I've been wanting Castle to be in a life and death situation for the longest time now and I hope they don't ruin it by making it the wrong car or he comes out unscathed. I want a proper proper life and death situation where he is sent to the hospital and flat-lines and Kate break downs, etc.
First of all the show is calles Castle, so Castle lives, the fact that they made all that car crash mystery is annoying. And so enragingly unoriginal. Also if they were going to get someone in mortal danger there was no need to rush the wedding. Just awful.
Yes! "terrible trials that only the worthy can transcend." "We want the happy ending? We can't give up." He told us! Love the foreshadowing.
I really thoroughly enjoyed this one. I loved the lightness throughout, the wonderful series of mishaps, Eddie McClintock's great guest performance, the sweet family moments... And I love that the cliffhanger was exactly the kind that's all about character and story, and not merely fans agonizing over whether someone is alive or not. OF COURSE Castle's alive. The end of the episode just set up what should be a pretty intense and hopefully very awesome start to season 7.
I get why they had him crash but seriously? Seriously? I just wanted a big white wedding ... i have a feeling its not gonna happen now .... They better reschedule the big fairy tale for the first episode next season
Was thinking they'd begin the season with the wedding. Am unsure if we can handle yet another season of them striving and striving and striving to get married. Why didn't they just elope, anyway? Perhaps Castle's dad will save him, and and Castle's mom and dad will get hitched in a double ceremony.
I know. There Rick was, ALL BY HIMSELF, thinking the world is grand, and... OH MY, I'M BEING FOLLOWED! Like, REALLY? You'd think he and Beckett would, after ALL THESE YEARS, understand that THE WORLD IS OUT TO GET THEM! But, NOOOOOOO, they just go tra-la-laing like they were kids. BOOOORRRRRRINGGGGG!!!
marlowe is a self centered moron who sbould be let go after this debacle. it was retardedin she worked for the govt and the police so she would have known she was married. and the ending , give me a break the show is called marlowe so all he has done is piss off half the viewers. i am going to the blacklist in spite of my love for stana katic. the only way i watch again isif i buy the show.
I don't like that they didn't get married; however, I didn't particularly like the last cliffhanger either, but very much enjoyed the resolution. As we all know Castle's not actually dead of course, I'm willing to wait until next season before I pass final judgment on this twist, and until then I'm just mildly annoyed. However, this show has generally done decently enough with following up it's stories well (except parts of the season four storyline) that I'm willing to give it some rope until I see where this is going.
I think honestly, though, that since I knew from the dress meltdown that something bigger was coming to stop their wedding (and not just the resolution of the Rogan story), I was too ready for something to happen to get worked up when it did. At this point, I'm just willing to see how it plays out. Too bad they didn't get that Hamptons wedding though - that shot of the sunset through the flower arch was gorgeous.
Wow...Well I didn't see that coming... Is it possible that it's Mickey the mobster is behind this, getting revenge for getting him turned into the FBI?
They are most likely to elope or go to the courthouse to get married now after this fiasco. I can see it in the last minute or two if one of the season 7 episode Beckett will say "when are we going to get married" and Castle will reply, let's get married now, and then they'dd go to the courthouse. Damn it, I want a full wedding for them.
awful. So full of overused tv story lines- character finds out they're already married, venue disaster, dress disaster. And are they really going to kill of the title character?
They wedding is destroyed though. No way will this all be solved in time for the guests to be there waiting for Castle's safe return. And they are gonna have a quickie wedding now, which I absolutely hate.
i dont know abt anyone else but im really interested to see kate mourn for castle. plus we all know why this ending, to ensure ppl would tune in next season. a wedding no doubt very satisfying could have been a bit anti climactic. anyway a wedding should happen mid-season. the episode itself before the end seemed such a waste, I wanted to skip the whole married before and catching up to the ex shenanigans. but it was lovely to see kate cry when everything was falling apart and castle comforting her.
I'm torn, I loved the episode but quite shocked by the ending. I simultaneously love and hate cliffhangers. I still trust that next season will make up for it. This risk is certainly one way to get fans talking. Ending on a happy wedding would have probably been forgotten about by next week and there would be nothing to look forward to for next season.
the ep itself wasnt THAT great to be honest but omg that ending, how am I supposed to wait for 4 months to know what happens next? omg and seeing Kate like that *gross sobbing*
Well awesome episode, but expected ending, we never are going to see this wedding happen. As for who took him I'm voting his father or people connected to him.
OMG. That was a great episode.from the beginning to end. I am really looking forward to season 7. And looking forward to seeing how the ending plays out in the beginning of season 7. I trust Andrew Marlow and the writers will give them the happy ending that they want.I think season 6 was that best season yet.
Wow, a voice of reason. I completely agree with you, it was a pretty ugly way to end what was to be a beautiful episode...I loved it, I hated it, I loved it, I hated it...but that won't keep me from being glued to my tv next September when the show returns from it's hideously long hiatus.
I thought it was an awesome episode up until I saw Castle in the car. As soon as I saw him in that car I was chanting no pretty much. But, I can tell you that my mom is pissed. We've made some guesses about who wanted to cause the crash and make Beckett believe Castle is dead - His father, Bracken, or 3XK.
I didn't think it was that bad of an episode, although a bit predictable, there were some funny spots. As for the ending, all about it...love seeing the more serious side of Castle and there is nothing more serious than Castle being away from Kate!
well I called the car crash/no wedding thing I suppose that we should be grateful that we didn't get a helicopter rising over the cliff top with some guy spraying the wedding party with machinegun fire Dynasty style.
I am willing to wait until fall to see what happens. I understand people being upset but I believe we will get a wedding that will be just as beautiful as we saw. Castle has always been by her side assisting her wirh her cases, now its time for Beckett to be by his side as he always has for her. I believe we will see much more character growth from Beckett and her love for him even stronger than ever. Maybe Castle's father will be called upon by Beckett somehow or his father is watching him that he will be the one to save his own son. Its the least he could do for Castle. Whether he would get invited to the wedding is anyone's guess.
I am looking forward to season 7 and cant wait to see what's in store. I do think we will see much more character development from everyone and maybe even Captain Gates will go easier on Castle after this tragic situation.
So I decided to let my head cool down before I posted a comment because I knew that if I didn't I was gonna end up hating more than was probably necessary. I can't really say I loved the episode because honestly compared with the other season finales it felt lacking in something, but I won't deny I actually had some fun with it (Even though I was trying not to cuz I already suspected there would be no wedding in the end) and no matter how much I tried I didn't hate it. I was however, crazy mad and dissapointed after the ending but the I started thinking and saw some sense into what they did, I wanted them to get married in this ep but then I realized I prefer this sort of disaster to happen before the got married than after, at least right now all they've hurt is their hopes for their wedding instead of the wedding itself. I have no doubt everything will be fixed and when I look back on every setback Caskett has had in their relationship and how they have resolved it later I can't help to get my hopes back. I also realized that if it weren't for the summer hiatus I probably wouldn't have been as mad, If I could just watch the next episode right away that finale wouldn't seem such a bad decision after all, so really is it the storyline I'm mad at or the simple fact that I have to wait to see it resolved? In the end my points are these: Do I think it was an awesome finale? No, but I don't think it was awful either. Would I prefer they had gotten married this season? Without a doubt, but I believe if they fix it right it won't really matter later on. And finally I definitely don't think people should stop watching because of it, even if you hated the episode, because it was after all just one episode. A TV show is more than just one bad moment in the story. Especially for shows that have a decent run, it can't all be happinness and rainbows, there are bound to be some unpleasant moments along the way, but in the end is the whole that usually matters. Also HS I had never written so much in a comment, of course it was gonna be Castle that made go crazy like this.
I'll admit, introducing his dad the way they was jumping the shark a bit, but what the heck - they're going into Season 7 anyways, and the two main protagonists are getting married.
Worst Episode and Finale ever!!! was too obvious all the way and didn't give any suspense for next season I love the show and just started rewatching it from the beginning. I think they should have used last episode as the finale and use this episode simple wedding story episode without the cliffhanger. I can't even say it is one because you know he is going to survive... plus you could do a season opener with a CH and build this episode only with the wedding!
Maria nova liked your comments, I have to say I did base my comment on spur of the moment disappointment at last nights final events I for one will be tuning in for season 7 for the resolution, we all know Castle is not dead. so guys we all have 4 months to calm down and hopefully realise that if we stop watching it is a sure way of getting the show cancelled so unless Marlowe and co really screw up the season opener, is that what we want?
wow it's really fascinating how people react when they don't like the outcome of an episode... it's ok if you don't like it, but all this ranting and screw you Marlowe here and f**k you Marlowe there is just inappropriate... and giving up on a show because of a season finale that didn't turn out the way you wanted it to? come on!
So true. Poor Nathan tweeted the episode and got so much hate like it was his fault. It is a team effort and they (cast and crew) have an idea where this is going. With the 4 months of hiatus so many of the "haters" will have forgotten their tweets/comments and be ready to see what happens. By mid-July spoilers (location shoots, pics for new season) will be out so guess we can look at only about 2 months to sweat it out.
I was disappointed as had a bad day at work so was looking forward to wedding bliss but guess what who would tune in for S7 if they would have wed and gone on honeymoon. Ya we would all be happy like someone said for a couple of weeks and then forgotten all about it. This did get everyone's emotions going.
"And they are gonna have a quickie wedding now, which I absolutely hate."
We don't know this. Marlowe has said outright that he knows the fans will be up in arms, and that we'll need something pretty special to make up for the spoiled first attempt. It's perfectly possible that whatever they ultimately do will be altogether more meaningful and special than this (very ordinary) wedding would have been. Here's hoping!
Well, for me it was just good...it was clear as the episode went on, at least for me, that there wouldn´t be a wedding,so I can´t say I´m surprised:) And actually I tought it was a good cliffhanger, of course Rick won´t die, but there are a few possiblities for what is going on and I´m intrigued, What I tought was really stupid was the "already married" thing, how is it possible the AG office didn´t find it?! Because I don´t believe Kate´s past wasn´t checked, so...bad writting!
It really was an awesome episode, and then there was the ending, I knew it was to good to be true, Damn why couldn't we just have that happy ending, sheesh these doggone cliff hangers, I think this smells like 3xk Bracken is still shell skocked, so I don't think it's him, the summer to ponder!!!
I really enjoyed this episode. I would have been left feeling a bit flat if they had rushed the wedding into the end of the episode. I think watched together with last weeks it makes sense. I thought finding the tape and then Bracken's arrest was a little too easy. This episode had a bit of light relief and then pulled you back to the suspense at the end. I loved so much of the interaction between all the characters in this episode, I loved how they hinted all the way through about the ending like Castle's comment about Grimms Fairytails. I loved the conversation between Castle and Becket and how they shouldn't give up, The interaction bewteen Alexis, Espo and Ryan was really amusing. I will be speculating and guessing all summer about what will happen next and after all we still have a wedding to look forward to. Since they will only get to do this once, then I want it to be memorable and not wedged in at the end if an episode, and since it didn't happen in this episode I can still hope.
loved it. really. i mean it was so typical castle with this huge cliffhanger in the end - we all know that castle isnt dead but its probably 2XK or something like that. from the beginning I knew that they wont get married that easily. I loved the fact that Kate was married before, i mean she once said to him that she's a one and done or something like that. and she isnt. both arent perfect and have a history. and so now they will get their goldilock wedding, as talked about, in september ...
I was thinking what about 3XK Castle sad he knows he is alive. This is something he would do but it just dose not seem like his style but i hope its him that would be awesome. Smart guess would be on Bracket getting his revenge.
I liked the finale but as a fan watching from the outside, that last scene, I think I would have preferred arriving to the crime scene with Beckett and thinking he's dead. (of course we know he isn't dead) But to me it would have been more shocking.
I loved it. Right up until the unnecessary, extremely cliched, non-suspenseful ending. After that episode, I think we deserved a wedding. Honestly, what use was that as a "cliffhanger" ending. Does anyone really believe they're going to kill Castle off of Castle? Sigh. Grr.
Wow. So Castle and Beckett don't get married and this is the worst episode ever. It's amazing to me that when fans don't get what they expect in the end how they rant and rave and vow to quit watching the show and move onto shows like The Blacklist. I can't believe all the hate e-mails, tweets and other comments that were sent to Andrew Marlowe, Terri Edda Miller, ABC and Nathan Fillion. Shame on you for making threats and sending nasty messages like that. Why don't you suck it up, act your age and not your shoe size.
You didn't get your way so you had a hissy fit and made nasty remarks and cursed. I thought only toddlers and teenagers did that when they didn't get their way. Wow. Grown adults doing the same thing too.
I was appalled at the attacks on Nathan Fillion as well. He is a comedian so you have to expect that when he says there will be a happy ending, he is kidding of course. Isn't that what comedians do? Joke around. Last time I checked they did. I think Andrew Marlowe respected everyones wishes and dissed the original wedding dress with a different one and wow the reaction changed on how great it was. He has done a lot of things at the fans requests (other than have them get married) and when you don't like what happened, you diss him and sh-t on him.
Any how, I am looking forward to season 7 and new Castle fans on this list. All the ones moving to The Blacklist, please do. A true fan sucks it up, accepts what happens and anticipates what's going to happen in the upcoming season. A true fan doesn't make threats and curse the writers and hate the show. I'm going to enjoy my summer and not worry about Castle because there will be a wedding and I am looking forward to watching Andrew Marlowe putting together something spectacular for season 7 this fall.
Well said. I to can't believe all the hate tweets and other comments that were sent to Andrew Marlowe, Terri Edda Miller,ABC,Nathan Fillion and the rest of the cast. I am a big fan of the show and always will be no matter what happens in the show. I really liked the episode and the end was excellent. And I don't really care that they didn't get married. There is a season 7 to have a wedding. I am so looking forward for season 7. I trust that Andrew and the writers will do what is best for the show. I also think no matter what they do they aren't going to please everyone.
It is the only show I devote myself to since most TV is reality (which I am not a huge fan of) . Castle is my escape from reality once a week and I enjoy it.
I see where the show is heading and its only going to make the relationship between Castle and Beckett stronger. I think we will see more of her wallscome down when she fears Rick is dead. She hides her feelings well but I see more emotion from her coming. Things will change between them but in a good way. Its going to be a great season 7 :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
you have got to be freaking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

absolutely disappointing!

ReplyDeleteOr maybe it's 3XK. We know for sure he's not dead yet.

ReplyDeleteGee, I wonder if they killed Castle off on CASTLE.
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of non-cliffhanger stupid showrunners need to avoid.
wow, what a fun ep... lots of fun interplay, but that ending!!!!! what a way to turn things on a dime.... I can only guess that maybe this will have something to do with Castle's father perhaps.....

ReplyDeleteI loved it.If you think about it their story lines always leave you wanting more..GREAT JOB TO CAST,CREW AND WRITERS.Looking forward to Season 7.

ReplyDeletePlus. Castle even gave us a hint on whats to come. It's a sign that ours is a great love story..what is a great love story without obstacles to overcome?! Every fairytale has one! - Richard Castle.
ReplyDeleteYes, some will say that Beckett went through enough obstacles, well those obstacle has been there since the show aired.
Not both. Geez.
ReplyDeleteSaw the car crash coming a mile away.
But still though. Cliche as fuck.
No, I think it's 3XK. Well, I hope it is.
ReplyDeleteARE YOU F------CK KIDDING ME?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all the show is calles Castle, so Castle lives, the fact that they made all that car crash mystery is annoying. And so enragingly unoriginal.
ReplyDeleteAlso if they were going to get someone in mortal danger there was no need to rush the wedding.
Just awful.
Yes! "terrible trials that only the worthy can transcend." "We want the happy ending? We can't give up." He told us! Love the foreshadowing.
ReplyDeleteI really thoroughly enjoyed this one.
ReplyDeletePrediction: Castle's Dad rescues him in the Season Premiere, then attends the wedding.
ReplyDeleteWas thinking they'd begin the season with the wedding. Am unsure if we can handle yet another season of them striving and striving and striving to get married. Why didn't they just elope, anyway? Perhaps Castle's dad will save him, and and Castle's mom and dad will get hitched in a double ceremony.
ReplyDeleteDone, will be watching the other shows on monday starting next season. Gave Marlowe two chances and he pi$$ed on both. That's all he gets.
ReplyDeleteI know.
ReplyDeletemarlowe is a self centered moron who sbould be let go after this debacle. it was retardedin she worked for the govt and the police so she would have known she was married. and the ending , give me a break the show is called marlowe so all he has done is piss off half the viewers. i am going to the blacklist in spite of my love for stana katic. the only way i watch again isif i buy the show.
ReplyDeleteBracken, Daddy Castle, or 3xk... start the betting.
ReplyDeleteNO COMMENT. It had some funny moments and some emotional ones but the story itself and the ending NO COMMENT!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that technically a comment?
ReplyDeleteI don't like that they didn't get married; however, I didn't particularly like the last cliffhanger either, but very much enjoyed the resolution.
ReplyDeleteI think honestly, though, that since I knew from the dress meltdown that something bigger was coming to stop their wedding (and not just the resolution of the Rogan story), I was too ready for something to happen to get worked up when it did. At this point, I'm just willing to see how it plays out. Too bad they didn't get that Hamptons wedding though - that shot of the sunset through the flower arch was gorgeous.
I didn't comment on the story or the ending.
ReplyDeleteWow...Well I didn't see that coming...
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that it's Mickey the mobster is behind this, getting revenge for getting him turned into the FBI?
Fuck you Marlowe, is all I can say at this point.
ReplyDeleteThey are most likely to elope or go to the courthouse to get married now after this fiasco. I can see it in the last minute or two if one of the season 7 episode Beckett will say "when are we going to get married" and Castle will reply, let's get married now, and then they'dd go to the courthouse. Damn it, I want a full wedding for them.
ReplyDeleteawful. So full of overused tv story lines- character finds out they're already married, venue disaster, dress disaster. And are they really going to kill of the title character?
ReplyDeleteThey wedding is destroyed though. No way will this all be solved in time for the guests to be there waiting for Castle's safe return. And they are gonna have a quickie wedding now, which I absolutely hate.
ReplyDeletei dont know abt anyone else but im really interested to see kate mourn for castle. plus we all know why this ending, to ensure ppl would tune in next season. a wedding no doubt very satisfying could have been a bit anti climactic. anyway a wedding should happen mid-season.
ReplyDeletethe episode itself before the end seemed such a waste, I wanted to skip the whole married before and catching up to the ex shenanigans. but it was lovely to see kate cry when everything was falling apart and castle comforting her.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked the cliffhanger... It will have us all something to think about in the awful months of waiting.. and a new story arc
ReplyDeletethe ep itself wasnt THAT great to be honest but omg that ending, how am I supposed to wait for 4 months to know what happens next? omg and seeing Kate like that *gross sobbing*
ReplyDeleteWHY!! WHY! WHY can't people get happy endings!
ReplyDeleteI think he is Castles Moffat
ReplyDeleteWell awesome episode, but expected ending, we never are going to see this wedding happen. As for who took him I'm voting his father or people connected to him.
ReplyDeletelove the episode , love the cliff ! and i'm happy we didn't get a wedding !
ReplyDeletenow i can't wait for S7 ! it's gonna be a long hiatus
I agree. Some great acting on Stana's part. You saw her falling apart through facial expressions in that last scene
ReplyDeleteOMG. That was a great episode.from the beginning to end. I am really looking forward to season 7. And looking forward to seeing how the ending plays out in the beginning of season 7. I trust Andrew Marlow and the writers will give them the happy ending that they want.I think season 6 was that best season yet.
ReplyDeleteWow, a voice of reason. I completely agree with you, it was a pretty ugly way to end what was to be a beautiful episode...I loved it, I hated it, I loved it, I hated it...but that won't keep me from being glued to my tv next September when the show returns from it's hideously long hiatus.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was an awesome episode up until I saw Castle in the car. As soon as I saw him in that car I was chanting no pretty much. But, I can tell you that my mom is pissed. We've made some guesses about who wanted to cause the crash and make Beckett believe Castle is dead - His father, Bracken, or 3XK.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a long summer.
Because those only happen in novels or tv shows that end on their own terms.
ReplyDeleteI hope his dad has nothing to do with it...not one of my favorite characters!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was that bad of an episode, although a bit predictable, there were some funny spots. As for the ending, all about it...love seeing the more serious side of Castle and there is nothing more serious than Castle being away from Kate!
ReplyDeleteMarlowe can go screw himself. What a horrible, predictable, cliched ending.
ReplyDeletewell I called the car crash/no wedding thing I suppose that we should be grateful that we didn't get a helicopter rising over the cliff top with some guy spraying the wedding party with machinegun fire Dynasty style.
ReplyDeleteCrap finale, the most weak finale of the series so far.
ReplyDeleteI am willing to wait until fall to see what happens.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to season 7 and cant wait to see what's in store.
ReplyDeleteIn the end my points are these:
Do I think it was an awesome finale? No, but I don't think it was awful either.
Would I prefer they had gotten married this season? Without a doubt, but I believe if they fix it right it won't really matter later on.
And finally I definitely don't think people should stop watching because of it, even if you hated the episode, because it was after all just one episode. A TV show is more than just one bad moment in the story. Especially for shows that have a decent run, it can't all be happinness and rainbows, there are bound to be some unpleasant moments along the way, but in the end is the whole that usually matters.
Also HS I had never written so much in a comment, of course it was gonna be Castle that made go crazy like this.
... and Castle's mom and dad will get hitched in a double ceremony.
ReplyDeleteHaha, nice, I didn't think of that!
I'll admit, introducing his dad the way they was jumping the shark a bit, but what the heck - they're going into Season 7 anyways, and the two main protagonists are getting married.
ReplyDeleteWorst Episode and Finale ever!!! was too obvious all the way and didn't give any suspense for next season I love the show and just started rewatching it from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI think they should have used last episode as the finale and use this episode simple wedding story episode without the cliffhanger.
ReplyDelete22 September 2014.

ReplyDeletewow it's really fascinating how people react when they don't like the outcome of an episode... it's ok if you don't like it, but all this ranting and screw you Marlowe here and f**k you Marlowe there is just inappropriate... and giving up on a show because of a season finale that didn't turn out the way you wanted it to? come on!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but if this is the best what the show can come up, why is it a problem if next will be the last season?
ReplyDeleteDid not see that coming!
ReplyDeleteSo true.
ReplyDeleteI was disappointed as had a bad day at work so was looking forward to wedding bliss but guess what who would tune in for S7 if they would have wed and gone on honeymoon. Ya we would all be happy like someone said for a couple of weeks and then forgotten all about it. This did get everyone's emotions going.
ReplyDeleteI can't really recall any really good episode in this season. They limped from acceptable to untolerable.
ReplyDeleteIt was great but... Oh My God!!!!
ReplyDelete"And they are gonna have a quickie wedding now, which I absolutely hate."
ReplyDeleteWe don't know this.
It might be the car geek in me but am i the only one that was thinking "How did that Escalade drive faster then that Mercedes S400?" lol.
ReplyDeleteWell, for me it was just good...it was clear as the episode went on, at least for me, that there wouldn´t be a wedding,so I can´t say I´m surprised:) And actually I tought it was a good cliffhanger, of course Rick won´t die, but there are a few possiblities for what is going on and I´m intrigued,
ReplyDeleteWhat I tought was really stupid was the "already married" thing, how is it possible the AG office didn´t find it?!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this episode. I would have been left feeling a bit flat if they had rushed the wedding into the end of the episode.
ReplyDeleteI think watched together with last weeks it makes sense.
Since they will only get to do this once, then I want it to be memorable and not wedged in at the end if an episode, and since it didn't happen in this episode I can still hope.
loved it. really.
ReplyDeletei mean it was so typical castle with this huge cliffhanger in the end - we all know that castle isnt dead but its probably 2XK or something like that.
from the beginning I knew that they wont get married that easily. I loved the fact that Kate was married before, i mean she once said to him that she's a one and done or something like that. and she isnt. both arent perfect and have a history.
and so now they will get their goldilock wedding, as talked about, in september ...
Well, I can recall a lot of really good episodes this season (for me this season was better than s5, for example).
ReplyDeleteI was thinking what about 3XK Castle sad he knows he is alive. This is something he would do but it just dose not seem like his style but i hope its him that would be awesome. Smart guess would be on Bracket getting his revenge.
ReplyDeleteNice little twist at the end and of course they left us with a cliffhahager ,oh well. Once they married that will probably be it for me.
ReplyDeleteI liked the finale but as a fan watching from the outside, that last scene, I think I would have preferred arriving to the crime scene with Beckett and thinking he's dead. (of course we know he isn't dead) But to me it would have been more shocking.
ReplyDeleteI loved it. Right up until the unnecessary, extremely cliched, non-suspenseful ending. After that episode, I think we deserved a wedding. Honestly, what use was that as a "cliffhanger" ending. Does anyone really believe they're going to kill Castle off of Castle? Sigh. Grr.
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't get your way so you had a hissy fit and made nasty remarks and cursed.
ReplyDeleteIt is the only show I devote myself to since most TV is reality (which I am not a huge fan of) . Castle is my escape from reality once a week and I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI see where the show is heading and its only going to make the relationship between Castle and Beckett stronger. I think we will see more of her wallscome down when she fears Rick is dead. She hides her feelings well but I see more emotion from her coming. Things will change between them but in a good way. Its going to be a great season 7 :)
