  1. I just did not like Zane & his sister deaths. They were interesting characters that could have been better exploited. If he as the big boss who will come now?
For Norman, he beats the polygraph test by believing his own lie right?

For next season, I expect more Caleb, more Remo, more Gunner more of Norma's "friends" and that the prostitute business will be back (Jake Abernathy booked I don't how many rooms and like no one ever came?)

  4. Amazing season finale, they focus on the best characters Norman, Norma, Dylan and Romero. The relationship between Norma and Norman was very, very creepy in this episode.

That final shot with Norman looks was really great. Welcome psyco Norman.

  5. wow!! I loved this season finale, actually I liked it way more than the one from season 1, not a real cliffhanger but open situations for all of the characters, I loved they hadn't killed Dylan and that now he might be the new drug dealer boss, hehehe, now I wonder how he will continue being the outsider of the family now that everything about them had a happy ending, a very touching happy ending BTW, I really liked that they have had that for a change. And what to say about Norman and the way his mind works!! God this is fantastic, he's not protecting himself, but to his mother THAT'S AWESOME!!, loved it!! it's a shame we have to wait a whole year again to see what's coming next.

  6. He has a personality disorder. Essentially in his blackouts he inhabits the "Mother" personality. So in essence he is believing his own lie as he believes "Mother" to be the culprit.

  10. When season 2 started on Bates Motel, I was really worried that it was going downhill fast. Boy, was I ever wrong since these last 4 or 5 episodes have made this a really, great show to watch! Kudos to Carlton Cuse to keep this show going in the right direction. All the creep elements are there and the way they handled the lie detector scene was unbelievable!! I knew that from other little bits in scenes, such as when Norman was in the teachers house and when he was held in the box, that he somehow channels Norma inside him to either goad him into hurting people or protect him from telling the truth. That actor Freddie Highmore is pretty awesome! He has really taken this character a long way from what we saw last season.

I think the closeness of Norma and Norman has been slowly cultivated throughout these last 2 seasons to this point of her actually kissing him on the lips. Here he is about to commit suicide and Norma's fear of losing him forever is what is driving that final kiss. She can't lose the only person she actually loves. We have gotten to see what kind of life she lived from her past and how this has driven her to be the overprotective mother she is now. Add into this whole scenario of Norman becoming a teenager and "man" if you will by his own teen experiences and that leads into the weird world of her believing that the two of them are meant to always be together in her own messed up ideal of mother and son.

So glad that we have gotten much more of Alex, the local cop, this year. I like the complexity of his character and want lots more info next season on his background!

  11. I think Norma and Norman's relationship is more than meets the eye; I have to wonder did they already venture there already? Re: Norman, just when it seems he is just a lost little soul molded into a monster like his mother, he does something on his own that appears he knows exactly what he is doing.

  12. Ahhhhh, but it is Really Norman or is it MommaNorman doing it.... after all that is the true basis of the show.
