This is such an amazing show. So glad the CW renewed it.
Whoa at the end. That was pretty intense, especially the fight on the Ark and the explosion. And I wish they could have had an alliance with the Grounders.
OMG, did they really blow up the ship at the end and kill everyone that was going down? Did not expect that. And the trailer for next week looks amazing.
This show is consistently churning out excellent episodes. It's so good to see.
The drop ship breaking away from the Ark is the best CGI I've seen this season from a television series.
The Grounders won't be too happy with the 100 now. I was surprised it was Jasper who was a bit trigger-happy and not Bellamy. Finn and Octavial have every right to be gutted with what Clarke did by bringing them into the loop. But what that has done is created some friction and bad blood between the most important people on the ground, which will no doubt be exploited in the coming weeks
The people from the ARC aren't very smart! Let us see there is a small group from the ARC a little less than 100 and they have a few guns with a few bullets to go with them and they think starting a war with the people that vastly outnumber them is a good ideal.
I'm not sure who's to blame for the failure of the Alliance agreement. Everyone is to blame.
Finn said no weapons, but the grounders brought it anyways. He could have backed away refusing to go ahead since the grounders did not honor that part of the deal.
Lincoln should have said or done something more reassuring than shrugging when Finn objected to the grounders bringing guns.
Clarke should have agreed with her backup on a signal when she feels things are going south.
Jasper should have waited till his team confirmed seeing the arrow men in the trees.
Raven and Bellamy should have stopped Jasper before he fired his gun.
I'm so glad that Clarke asked Bellamy to be her "back up." He saved her life again, this time with just one shot. I think this is the third time that he saved her. Obviously, Bellamy didn't know that Jasper had certain mental issues regarding the Grounders. I don't think he would have taken him with him if he knew. So chaos happened...
Also, the Grounders broke their promise and didn't come alone. They also had people in trees with spears. It was a bad idea.
I love that Clarke trusts Bellamy. This was a hard earned trust/respect between them. It took time for them to build this. And I love Bellamy/Clarke together more and more with every episode.
Jasper/Raven interaction was actually fun to watch. Finn continues to annoy me, though...Going into that meeting wasn't smart all.
I just think Bellamy is more likable over the last episodes, that does not mean I would trade in my Finn/Clarke ship just jet. As the show really isn't bout romance, I have trouble seeing the 'Bellarke chemistry', for me it is more the journey from Bellamy in the first episodes up to now. Bellamy was lucky that the writers gave him the best character change and development. Finn just got stuck with a knife, not so much room for acting there. Clarke's justification of the gun use is also a bit of a 180 turn in her character, which seems strange.
That is not the way good leaders should lead... Clarke. Way to F things up. At this point my view points mainly align with what Finn is trying to achieve, in their world that is the best way.
Jasper was fun to watch, but he too has some growing up to do I guess. You never fire first, war has shown that, unless you hear "Scorpio".
Dam Ark people are dumb as always, stupid Diana lady, if they haven't all died on impact only few remain, tho they should be dead, unless there was some escape pod within an escape pod.
It's technically Jasper's fault that the truce failed because he fired the first shot, however... he's obviously been suffering from PTSD since his first encounter with the Grounders so it probably wasn't the best idea bringing him in the first place. The Grounders were only doing what Bellamy and co. did by bringing back up, there's no reason to believe the guys in the trees would have fired their arrows if Jasper hadn't.
I thought it was interesting when the Grounder lady asked Clarke could she guarantee that the people coming down would stick to whatever terms they agreed. Bellamy mentioned it earlier too, once the drop ships start coming it's back to being kids again for them. They're trying their best to eek out some form of civilization down there but once the adults from the ark arrive it's back to how things were on the ark.
p.s. Dichen Lachman looked fierce in her Grounder get up!
I think that what we saw come down to Earth was a part of the Ark that broke away. It doesn't make sense for it to be a fully loaded drop ship this early on in the series
I think so too. There was a bit in the series promo that showed Clarke walking around what looked like a crash site so I assume that's next week. There was also a clip of people with guns storming the camp, wasn't there? So I assume at some point people from the ark make it down. It probably is the drop ship we saw launch in Unity Day but it's probably not what crashed. Interesting idea too to have the first ship that comes down be full of "bad guys" rather than the help the kids would have been expecting.

Completely agree with this. It is a good plot twist, even though it does go against the material in episode 5(?) where all those people made the ultimate sacrifice
I think it ties in well with what happened with the people who sacrificed themselves. They did it so their family and loved ones could live and then it turns out there's not enough drop ships to get everyone off the Ark and the first ship is filled with the upper classes. The people who mutinied saw it as a pointless sacrifice if they were going to be left behind to die anyway. Or that's how I see it anyway.
She seems to be listed for Season 2, and I thought Abby was still on the dropship. So, I guess we can go with that it might have been something from the Ark that fell, but not the dropship itself.
I liked this episode. The scenes on the Ark were my favorite, well besides the scenes with Bellamy and Clarke.
I agree with Finn I just wish I liked his character more. I also enjoyed the scenes with Lincoln and Octavia, but I can't help but feel bad for Jasper.
Oh.my.gosh! The Ark scenes were so supenseful, especially there at the end. I hope no one dies! I wonder if Diana & her people will survive & if they will be found relatively soon. Hope that the ship crashing didn't destroy another villiage. The Grounder boss lady was awesome. Why in anyones right mind would let Japser carry a gun & come along to meet Grounders, epecially after what he went through. I felt like they would've had a chance but of course war is the only option. Glad Finn & Octavia are peaceful whereas Clarke & Bellamy & Raven are geared up for war. So I guess this means that everyone on the ground won't be communicating with the Ark anytime soon. Fantastic episode. This show is seriously awesome.
I think Clarke made the best decision. She wanted to try the peace thing but she had backup just in case things went south. She was right. The grounders did the same thing and were pointing arrows at them. It would have been stupid to go meet them unarmed after they've been stabbed every single time they've come in contact with them.
I do think it was a bad idead for Bellamy to bring Jasper along though.
I get disgusted any time I see Octavia with Lincoln.what were the writers thinking?especially making Octavia throw herself at every guy.it makes me want to audition to play who ever the next guy will be
I think this it the first time I was more interested in what happened in the ark rather than the ground. The whole attempt of alliance with the grounders was pretty interesting, but the whole thing with the ark was finale material delivered weeks before the finale! This show is so, so great! Who would have thought that one of the best new dramas would be brought by The CW?
I guess we'll never know whether or not he saved her life or perpetuate the war. The grounders in the tree were there to make sure it wasn't a trap against their people, which was the same thing Bellamy was doing. Jasper overreacted and fired the first shot. It was a disaster waiting to happen and the only chance they would have had was if she had listened to Finn and not brought Bellamy.
Please dont bring a baby grounder to the mix pleaseeeeee. WTH is Olivia thinking?.... Amazing episode i was really happy that ship exploted at the end but being a tv show i bet some people magically survived.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

So, does that mean Abby is dead? She was on the drop ship, right? She is still listed in the future episodes descriptions...
ReplyDeleteLoved the episode. It was amazing as usual.

That's a recurring role, so there is always the possibility she could pop up.
