    yeah, but the spell was to take Zelena back in time and then she would kill Snow's mother or whatever else she wanted to do - she had to do sth in the past to change history, not just cast the spell

    By the look of it...Emma falls into the portal, and Hook follows...and then they go into an alternate universe or something. I doubt that scene of Emma falling into the portal is at the end...most likely it's at the beginning.

    At least they acknowledge that they change worlds like a girl changes her outfit. Damnit: FTL, Neverland, Oz, real world... what other world is there? A twilight zone alternate reality :P ?
    Seriously, where the heck are they going next? I think it is the past, because I can't recall another world.

    new york and story brook are one world, so is past and current enchanted forrest, leaves Oz, Neverland and Wonderland.
    But since Hook was pretty much part of this series since the beginning you shouldn't really be surprised when Neverland came up. I can't recall any more other magical worlds myself, but I am sure they are cultures with more 'worlds' for OUAT to explore.

    Btw, Emma going back in time is exactly what I thought would happen when we learned that Zelena wanted to go back in time. It's nice to be right ;)

    Yeah, I know that Storybrooke and NY "are one world", that's what I meant by "real world".
    Neverland wasn't a surprise, but so many worlds in one single season seems too much for me.
    They bring in new characters and storylines (as Glinda and Dorothy) just for the sake of twists and turns and name-checking and don't develop neither the new characters nor some of the old ones.

    Have we seen the final battle Rumple predicted in the pilot?


    I mean, there were some battles, some really good fights btw good vs evil. My fav being the Pan plot. But for me, final is final, which would mean going back home to the happy endings. So, in my opinion, when Emma falls in that portal, maybe she goes back to the past, and that's when it begins.
    Perhaps, whatever she does in the past is actually what made all the story possible, maybe she has something to do with the book.

    They can still revisit these characters, but you are right, there are already enough characters to deepen their stories, no need to bring in so much more!


    As for one big bad (per season), don't necessarily agree with you, think It's working great for this season.
    Also, a lot of shows have that 'system', I rather watch a show that tries to stand out then one that just follows the script that always works.

    Good Episode My theory is that Emma and Hook get stuck in past enchanted forest where they mess up the time line and have to put everything right or Emma and Henry won't be born

    Honestly, I think that right now none of it makes sense. First of: do you have to fall into the portal for the curse to work? Secondly:If you do, will you be aware of what is going on (meaning, if you cast the curse, do you remember the "original" timeline)? And most importantly, if Emma is the one who falls into the portal/whatever the hell that is, will she go back in time to when Snow and Charming met, a time when she herself did not exist?

    OMG this is going to be so much fun ! After Rumple killed Zelena it somehow activated the spell and changed the past in an unexpected and unforeseen way ! I think what we see in the beginning of this promo is just a foretaste of what is going to happen in Season 4 : Emma with Hook as is true love, Rumple is teaching an unknownperson to cast the curse and the fight between the evil Queen and Snow/Charming may be different in this alternate reality I can't wait !! :)

    I'm not excited. I hope I am proven wrong, but I think this might be the jump the shark moment for the show. If they go ahead and change everything just to change everything, instead of continuing where the story has come to, it makes everything we have seen meaningless.

    For awhile, I thought they were planting seeds to have a season in Oz next year, with Regina becoming the fourth witch, allowing them to bring in a lot more Oz elements from the books as she works her way to save Oz.

    Although it would be expensive, I think what they need to do next season is have an episode where some spell turns people into animal form, and have the story loosely based upon Disney's Robin Hood. We can add more Disney characters, as well (Mickey, Donald, Goofy), and give them human form afterwards....

    Zelena wanted to go back in time to the year her life changed, and when Emma falls on the portal she will go back in time when Charming and Snow met , that's brilliant!! If Charming didn't chose that road Snow wouldn't steal his ring and i think Emma will see all that! I think she and Hook will do things that could change the past and the 4th season will be about them trying to fix it and go back to Storybrooke or just back in time! I think Snow will see Emma for a short time and that's would be why Mary Margaret felt she already know her when they both met OR maybe they will become friends and them she will drink a forgetting potion to erase all! All that time between getting Charming's ring back and his (almoust)-wedding with Abigail ,Snow could be helping Emma !!!!! I WANT THAT!!!!
