    With Bruno Heller focusing on Gotham though I hope the final season (there's no way it's getting renewed again) is done well. I wonder if it is for the full 22 episodes or what WB was able to make happen.

    I'm glad but I do hope it's the final season, I would really like it to have a propper and satisfying conclusion instead of dragging, also after the Red John thing it has lost some of its charm.

    As someone who not a big fan of the SciFi genre, I loved it! After the first couple of episodes, I totally forgot the genre and just enjoyed the witty dialog and amazing chemistry among the cast/guest cast.

    So, the have 6 new dramas for the new season and one empty slot. The Mentalist will be done by midseason as it only got a partial order. The must be reducing comedy hours to 3. TAAHM also got a partial order according to deadline, so one of the new comedies can replace it, I'm guessing The McCarthys. But still, that a lot of new shows with very little free space.

    I have a feeling some of the new CBS show won't last a season.....I predict that one of CSI or NCIS:NO to be cancelled by early Jan because of poor rating........could go from 13 episode to a full season

    The Mentalist could be used on Friday 8/7 and save UB until January and run that straight through - that show may only produce 15 episodes like this past season. I don't think they are able to produce 22 episodes of UB any longer. TM could also be held as a replacement for a failed drama.

    With this renewal, they need to start looking at ending The Mentalist's run on a high note now and not have to play the waiting game for renewal next year.


    Also, does this mean Bruno Heller will still be working on this series, or will he leave to focus on Gotham?

You should have listened to the fans...they are not stupit and know stuff as well ;) But I forgive you for now and will celebrate the whole weekend and finish with sundays new episode ♥

    They could make it a serialized story for the entirety of the 13 episodes. Drop the procedural aspect ( not completely but have some small elements of it in the background) and focus on the main case of the encrypted names. Make it a compelling story with a great ending and fans will remember the show with fondness when it's done.



    So, less filler, more serialized and end on high.
