  1. Hayley's storyline sounds exactly like Elena's storyline in Seaosn 4. I don't know if I can keep watching the show unless they tone down her role and get her away from Elijah - it's taking over the show too much. I thought there would be more focus on the family dynamics now that Mikael, Esther and I guess FInn are back but it sounds like Hayley/Elijah will take up way too much screen-time instead of mostly being off-screen (a la Jeremy/Bonnie) like I want.

  2. I agree with you, I think that Oz could have been so EPIC, and don't get me wrong, I loved Zelena and Rebecca Mader played her amazingly, but idk, it kind of felt rushed (how they killed her)

  3. We spent time in Neverland and that world was explored (or at least I felt like they did a decent job with that). We barley saw Oz at all - I really thought they were going to explore that realm a lot more. i know they didn't explore Wonderland much on OUAT but I figured that was because of the spin-off (in which they did explore that realm more) so I expected to see more of Oz (as we did Neverland).

  4. It seems like you define her "taking over the show" as "she has any storyline whatsoever". Saying she's taking over the show too much because she won't be doing absolutely nothing is a little silly.

  5. I don't know why people think that Orphan Black sex scene with Paul and Rachel was hot. Rachel basically ordered Paul to screw her. That wasn't role play. If Paul had said 'no' you can damn well bet there would have been consequences. If the roles in that scene were reversed people would have been up in arms about it. It wasn't hot. It was creepy.

  6. She shouldn't have more screen-time than the Originals though. Hayley should have the same amount of screen-time as the other main characters (ie Cami & Davina). From what I've read so far about Season 2 it sounds like it's going to be Elena in Seaosn 4 all over again - where Hayley can't deal with being a vampire (like Elena couldn't) and she'll have Klaus & Elijah trying to help her and Elijah will be trying to fix her (just as Stefan tried to fix Elena and Damon had to help her though it).

We've had a lot of people turned into vampires. Caroline & Tyler on TVD, Josh on TO - and it seems like Hayley & Elena are the only two who are going to get a major storyline out of it and going to have the people around them rushing around to help them through it and trying to fix them.

Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) is a full-time, 22 episode series regular. Leah Pipes (Camille) and Danielle Campbell (Davina) are 2nd tier regulars that don't appear in all episodes. So, no they should not have equal screen time.

The Hayley character has equal screen time (not more) with the other full-time regulars, Klaus, Elijah, and Marcel.

  8. I agree it was creepy. It seems to be a theme in shows to have men be forced or manipulated into sex and if it was reversed and the woman was the one being taken advantage of we would be up in arms. Grimm did a similar kind of thing except the main character Nick thought he was sleeping with his girlfriend when it was the villain female in a shape shifting potion that made her look like his girlfriend. It was also quite creepy and manipulative when I thought about it after the episode.

  9. I saw 3B more of a Wicked Witch storyline, and not really an Oz storyline. I thought we learned a lot and saw a lot from Zelina, and I enjoyed it much more than the first half of the season. So even though we didn't get to see much of Oz, I still think it was a great arc and hopefully we can visit Oz again.

  10. OUAT: Now that Community is cancelled, I have a feeling they're going to snatch Yvette Nicole Brown to come back as Ursula for Season 4B. Other than her, Cruella is the only big one I can think of who hasn't come. I hope they're saving Maleficent to be the final Big Bad at the end of the series, which would make since she's been around since the start so it would be nice to come full circle.

  11. "if it was reversed and the woman was the one being taken advantage" not if. it happens and more often than when the male character is put in that position. but I agree with both of you, there's a double standard when in general fans/critics aren't being as loud about this, than say the Jaime/Cersei rape scene on GoT.

  12. I wouldn't bother with this girl. She makes completely biased comments about Hayley in every The Originals posts. I'm going to take a wild guess and say if you go far back enough you'll find her making plenty pro-Klaroline comments. She has a weird vendetta. If it isn't Hayley, it will be some other female character on the show.

  13. The Originals: It looks like Hayley's problem will be that she's sired to a baby. An infant doesn't know exactly who she is or where she came from, and would feel lost if she senses that she's away from her nuclear family and she isn't safe. Hayley will inherit those feelings through the sire bond, and if the sire bond can't be broken (who knows anymore with the way this show is playing with mythology), then someone will have to kill Hayley. I still don't understand why, if Elijah really loves her, he would sire her to a baby and make her the kind of creature she would never want to be. She craved her own baby's blood because she was in transition, and Elijah took advantage of that. It's very selfish. Klaus looked disgusted when Elijah was feeding Hope's blood to Hayley, and probably for more than one reason. It's all ironic, considering that Elijah did exactly what he accused Klaus of wanting to do. It looks like Elijah will find out why Klaus never had any intention of siring anyone to his baby. Hopefully Elijah will be forced to admit that he was wrong and mean it this time.

  14. You're absolutely right. I'd rather see Hayley's story than anything else that got started in the season finale. I do not like that the bad parents/silly brother storyline from TVD is being recycled. It doesn't matter that Esther and Finn are in different bodies. I'm just not interested in seeing any of those three characters again. Season 1 showed a lot of new villains, and the EPs were proud of it. What happened to that, I wonder? I hope this isn't a result of fans pushing TO writers to bring back Sebastian Roche or any other actors or characters. When writers indulge the fans too much, the show suffers. A lot of people are spreading rumors that Kol will be back from the dead, but after watching a video from a convention in Brussels, I got the impression that if Kol came back, Nate Buzolic would rather that it be on TVD. He also said a few things that made me wonder if maybe he didn't get along with Joseph Morgan. People picked fights with Julie Plec on Twitter and she handled it pretty well with only one long tweet (not a war), but I honestly don't think she was completely truthful about why Nate Buzolic never became a regular on TO.

  15. The Hayley issue aside, I'm not pleased with how often both TVD and TO repeat themselves either. I have no interest in seeing The Originals repeat the same toxic family cycle that began on The Vampire Diaries. I was initially excited at the prospect of bringing Sebastian Roche back into the fold but this show has decided to do absolutely nothing new with the character whatsoever. It's the same thing it always is - he wants to destroy Klaus and everything he loves. Give me a break.

Side note: As for Kol - regardless of any behind the scenes drama, Kol now has an even smaller chance of returning (in any form but flashback) than ever. The other side has been destroyed so unless Plec & Co. pull an extremely believable rabbit out of their collective hat, I don't see how he could return to the land of the living.

  16. Exactly. I hope that the recycled family drama doesn't last longer than a five-episode arc, but I'm worried that it'll get dragged out because the show is "The Originals" and the recycled characters are part of the Original family. It's crazy. What would make it more interesting and tolerable is if the new paranormal psychologist turns out to be someone sent to force them all into family therapy. That I'd like to see. Marcel, Davina, and even Cami could benefit from some time with a shrink as well. It seems like the same old story with Davina these days too. She obviously doesn't really want to let Mikael hurt Klaus, and she probably didn't want to resurrect Mikael to begin with, but Marcel got her feeling conflicted enough that she's going to be in that attic with Mikael for a while. It would be funny if the two of them just end up tormenting and intimidating each other until the right person finds them and deals with them. Davina never did know how to plan revenge. Marcel is her toxic family in my opinion. If she got away from the madness in New Orleans, she would probably have a chance at a normal life.

Kol could probably be brought back in a different body too, and a short backstory could be dreamed up to explain it, but then Kol would be played by a different actor who fans might complain about and Julie Plec's excuse about no room for the character would be discredited. It doesn't matter to me either way. I'm not really obsessed with that character. If I had the choice, I'd rather see him on TVD anyway, which obviously isn't happening. I don't see how a character who acts like an adolescent, possibly because he was a very tall 16 or 17-year-old when he was made immortal, would have much of a place on TO. The teenage characters on that show usually don't fare well.

  17. Anyone who has been brought back previously has been brought back from 'the other side' which no longer exists. What body they may or may not go into is not an issue. You can't bring someone back from somewhere when you don't know where they are or if they've been snuffed out of existence.
