Looks okay but, since Krosney's character is being recast, a good chunk of the pilot footage may not make it to air. There will definitely be some reshoots.
Rose looks quite enjoyable! I really like her. But the show has a huge True Calling vibe! I mean look just at the dorky main examiner working with Liv.
My vote to replace Alexandra Krosney is Jessica Lowdness, 90210.
To be honest, I'd be perfectly okay with 'Veronica Mars with zombies.' It would be an improvement over at least half of what the CW is offering right now. If the writing is good, this should be a lot of fun.
I have off topic question. I never watched Veronica MArs but i was thinking about watching it in summer, but i have 1 question : Does it have proper ending?
Looks pretty good! A mash-up of "Pushing Daisies" and "Tru Calling" and "Veronica Mars" to be sure, but hey, nothing wrong with that if it's entertaining. Rose McIver seems well-cast and I liked the rapport with her boss already. I do hope Rob Thomas gets to tell a bigger serialized story (which they hinted at at the end of the clip with there being other zombies) and not just case-of-the-week stuff.
I really liked True Calling! And it's killing me it ended on such a bullsh*t ending. Terrible! Now I miss Eliza Dushku. She and SMG should do a pilot together next year.
This is a lot more light-hearted than I expected, but it looks good to me. The actress seems very appealing and there seems to be nice chemistry between the leads. I still need to see a better quality video though
Superheroes aren't everyone's cup of tea. You should at least check the full trailer out though. iZombie looks like it could be fun. Supernatural fantasy/ horror are my favorite type of shows.
After rewatching this a few times, I'm getting major Spot (from the comics) vibes from Ravi. I wonder if we'll get a variation on Ellie eventually...http://goo.gl/QVImks
So the doctor walks in on her eating a brain and doesn't freak out?? Overall I can't say this promo looks that great. I think Robert Buckley is hilarious so I will try to watch and see how he is in this...but if it's not enough, I'm out.
I hope they don't always stick with the "case of the week" episodes. I hope, they'll dig deeper into why did Liv become a zombie and the possibility of other zombies (perhaps, other supernatural beings) existing. Either way, this can be a bad-ass show for The CW! :)
Well to each their own. I don't watch CBS because all of their shows have lazy concepts and are incredible unoriginal. Also there's plenty of bad acting on the other networks but it seems The CW always gets bashed because it's the easiest target.
No. Alexandra Krosney played the lead's best-friend in the pilot, and can be seen in this promo. That part is being recast. Rose McIver was always supposed to play the lead
I'm not worried about it. I'm just not ready to make any solid judgments on the material until they re-shoot what they need to with the new cast member, whoever that turns out to be.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved it. Looks so funny. Disgusting, but funny.
ReplyDeletei was expectin it to a bit darker of a show but i stil wanna see it
ReplyDeleteEven as a zombie, Rose McIver still looks so damn adorable <3 Looking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteLooks okay but, since Krosney's character is being recast, a good chunk of the pilot footage may not make it to air. There will definitely be some reshoots.
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteJust from this LQ video i can say they found perfect actress for the role of Zombie
So sad it is only midseason show. I hope they will at least give it a good time slot and not kill it before premiere like they did with Star-Crossed
Also, I nominate Dora Madison Burge (Dexter, Star-Crossed) to replace Alexandra Krosney... not that my vote counts for anything.
ReplyDeleteRose looks quite enjoyable! I really like her. But the show has a huge True Calling vibe! I mean look just at the dorky main examiner working with Liv.

Heh, it really is Veronica Mars with zombies.
ReplyDelete"Are you sure about being the only one?"
Foreshadowing the Oversoul and Undersoul from the comics?
I would replace her with actress that played Alex in Nikita. The show would get even better
ReplyDeleteI'd be okay with Lyndsy Fonseca as a replacement but I somehow doubt she'd take the job.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I'd be perfectly okay with 'Veronica Mars with zombies.' It would be an improvement over at least half of what the CW is offering right now. If the writing is good, this should be a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteDon't touch Lyndsy I want her in the possible Charmed remake. ;-)

Looks more fun than I thought. I missed the Veronica Mars craze, so maybe I can make up for it with this! :D
ReplyDeleteI have off topic question. I never watched Veronica MArs but i was thinking about watching it in summer, but i have 1 question : Does it have proper ending?
ReplyDeleteThe series itself ends with some dangling threads, but no major cliffhangers, IMO. And then, of course, there's the movie.
ReplyDeleteYes, the movie that was released last year provides a good ending.

ReplyDeleteSomehow reminded me of Psych... will give it a try... but a bit light-headed for my taste.
ReplyDeleteEXCITED. PERIOD.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Tru Calling, zombies badass version!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it might not suck, I can't remember the last time I felt that way about a CW series. Maybe miracles can happen!
ReplyDeleteI can The Flash. But this does look good.
ReplyDeleteHaha I ironically thought about Tru Calling for the first time in like a year last night and missed it horribly.
ReplyDeleteI will probably pass on The Flash if its anything like Arrow, that show doesn't do it for me sadly. This looks potentially good though.
ReplyDeleteIt'll probably start with a case of the week and get serialised later.
ReplyDeleteLooks okay, but I'm kinda concerned about the recasting. Logic dictates that some reshooting would be required as well.
ReplyDeleteI really liked True Calling! And it's killing me it ended on such a bullsh*t ending. Terrible! Now I miss Eliza Dushku. She and SMG should do a pilot together next year.
ReplyDeleteLooks great and so funny. Glad to see Rob Thomas's writing back on screen.
ReplyDeletei think, this is gonna be something like star-crossed with the same terrible ratings without beautiful CAST..
ReplyDeleteI am not interested because http://bit.ly/Rx7VEu
ReplyDeleteThis is a lot more light-hearted than I expected, but it looks good to me. The actress seems very appealing and there seems to be nice chemistry between the leads. I still need to see a better quality video though
ReplyDeletezombie veronica mars
ReplyDeletelol. You drunk? This looks literally nothing, nothing, NOTHING like Star Crossed (thank god)
ReplyDeleteSuperheroes aren't everyone's cup of tea. You should at least check the full trailer out though. iZombie looks like it could be fun. Supernatural fantasy/ horror are my favorite type of shows.
ReplyDeleteWhat I thought as well.
ReplyDeletezombie tinkerbell ! Looks funny and she's just adorable even "dead"
ReplyDeleteAfter rewatching this a few times, I'm getting major Spot (from the comics) vibes from Ravi.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we'll get a variation on Ellie eventually...http://goo.gl/QVImks
I liked. I'll watch the pilot.
ReplyDeleteI think I like her more than the previous actress, looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably give The Flash the 4 episode test at the very least.
ReplyDeleteOh I love superheroes but not how CW handles them really like I felt the same away about Smallville.
ReplyDeleteI might, depends how busy my TV schedule come fall and it could be very busy!
ReplyDeleteDefinite pass for me :/
ReplyDeleteArrow and Smallville are nothing alike.
ReplyDeleteSo the doctor walks in on her eating a brain and doesn't freak out?? Overall I can't say this promo looks that great. I think Robert Buckley is hilarious so I will try to watch and see how he is in this...but if it's not enough, I'm out.

ReplyDeletePerhaps Peyton has the Ellie vibes. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy? :(
ReplyDeleteWell to each their own. I don't watch CBS because all of their shows have lazy concepts and are incredible unoriginal. Also there's plenty of bad acting on the other networks but it seems The CW always gets bashed because it's the easiest target.
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor seems to be a version of Spot from the comics, so he is supernatural too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I have never read the comics.
ReplyDeletenever mind! :)
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't please me, since Spot was gay on the comic but they'll probably make him straight for the show.
ReplyDeleteWhat previous actress?
ReplyDeleteIt was going to be starred by Alexandra Krosney but the role was recast and that actress on the promo is Rose McIver.
ReplyDeleteNo. Alexandra Krosney played the lead's best-friend in the pilot, and can be seen in this promo. That part is being recast.
ReplyDeleteRose McIver was always supposed to play the lead
She might not be in tooo much so I wouldn't worry about that.
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty much the vibe I got from it also, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not worried about it. I'm just not ready to make any solid judgments on the material until they re-shoot what they need to with the new cast member, whoever that turns out to be.
ReplyDeleteIt doesnt seem as cool as i thought
