In The Flesh - Episode 2.03 - Preview & Teasers

This week the show is looking at love triangles, generally not one of my favourite subjects but I can’t help but admire the head on approach that Dominic Mitchell takes in this episode. PDS Sufferer Freddie Preston firmly believes in his marriage vow ‘to death do us part’, but unfortunately his wife, Haley, moved on and is happily living with her new partner, Amir. Needing somewhere to stay after coming out of the treatment centre she reluctantly allowed Freddie to stay in the spare bedroom for a few weeks; but now it’s four months later and he still shows no signs of giving up on her, or finding elsewhere to live, much to Amir's growing agitation.

Simon, Kieren and Amy are also involved in affairs of the heart somewhat after the disciple’s heavily suggestive gesture at his party last week. Philip keeps Amy to himself at the Village Hall under the pretence of needing her help on the Give Back Scheme, while sending the two lads off to the Doctors to work together, much to her disappointment. Simon reassures Kieren that he has never led Amy on, and that it’s purely a plutonic love they have for each other as the two of them care for the Rabids at the surgery. It isn't long before the two of them argue over a plan that the revolutionist has to set the caged PDS Sufferer’s free and they angrily go their separate ways…for now.

Jem is having trouble coping with shooting of school mate Henry, and wants to hand herself over to the authorities. Gary has other plans though, he covers things up as best he can, only to find out that Jem has gone behind his back and spoken to Maxine. Both are surprised, however, that she doesn't react to the news as expected. Gary finds himself drawn even deeper into her secret plans, and grows much closer to Jem as he wants help with what is to come.
