  1. Oh, would've thought/hoped the season finale did a bit better than that.

I commiserate with all the people who didn't watch one of the greatest moments in TV history.

  3. My question is very simple: if people are not watching Hannibal, what on god's good earth are they watching? Seriously, I don't get it. I understand the show is not for everyone, it is very violent and creepy, but c'mon, The Walking Dead gets awesome ratings and it's not half as good as this (don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but there is no way to compare it to this material).

  4. Real shame about the ratings. It was the best episode of Hannibal so far , infact it was probably one of the best finales i have ever seen on TV.

  5. They should have put this on Netflix instead of banishing it to the wasteland of Amazon Prime. Almost no one I know has Prime and those who do don't use it for watching video because the UI is horrendous.

  6. As you said it's really violent and creepy. Could get horror fans aboard, but a lot of horror fans like faster paced shows. Action packed in every episode instead of more suspense. The language/writing also might be above some people.

You ask this when reality TV and lather, rinse, repeat pg-13/14 crime shows are so popular. There's your answer.

I don't like horror much, but I watch both Hannibal and The Walking Dead because I want to see where the characters end up. And TWD kinda is in my science fiction/fantasy/supernatural themed shows I like so much.

I don't mind dark shows, I love many, but Hannibal I only like because of the intelligence behind it. I hate the gore.

  7. Precisely. I also watch it despite the gore, not for the gore.
But my point is: the story is consistent, the acting is genius (seriously, the season finale was something else), the show is well designed and well directed. Why are the ratings so bad?
I don't even want people who only enjoy reality TV to watch this, I know they won't. But there were people watching Breaking Bad, and I believe those are viewers who want quality TV. Where are they?

  8. Like I said, the show can be slow sometimes. I've never watched Breaking Bad so I don't know the pace there. Plus it's on NBC and BB seems to be more popular with people my age (20 somethings) than older people who tend to watch NBC more than the young adults.

  9. I watch a lot of tv and can easily say Hannibal is one of the best televisions shows I have seen in many years. Every episode I'm on the edge of my seat and I absolutely need to know what's going to happen next. It's a damn shame that more people are not watching this.
