I'd prefer a SH/Hieroglyph combo but this show will be pretty huge at first I'm assuming so they should probably launch an entire new night, and use this to ensure maximum ratings for either Hieroglyph or SH.
Signed up to this site so I could comment and be apart of what's going to to be new favourite show, this looks awesome and I am seriously geeking out at the moment as a Batman fan, CANNOT WAIT!
Yup well with Gordon being engaged and all I'm sure it will but I mean like it shouldn't have a Adam West feel to it unless it's actually is the 60s version which it isn't. Anyways I'm kind of geeking out right now lol it looks so good!
Same here when I first heard of this I was admittedly a bit unsure but very hopefully because I thought it had a lot of potential and now I've seen the trailer I am so excited :)
I like a lot of people expect batman when they think Gotham but having some origins of BAtman villains and why they become who they are is really important too.
Yup when I first heard of the show I thought a Gotham show without Batman???? But then I thought about Batman Year One etc and I think we've just touched the surface of the stories that could be told pre Batman with Gordon, to me at least he's a very interesting character and as long as they don't deviate much some cannon I'll be happy. I personally think Jada Smith's character looks pretty cool.
Nope, not sold. The trailer actually makes me even less excited. It focuses way too much on characters that won't, or shouldn't, even be heavily featured.
I'm still on the fence. I'm really curious to see the Riddler though. And i feel Jada is wayyyyy out of place. I'll still check out the pilot, but this trailer didn't get me too excited.
The trailer definitely got my interest, but I don't want it to be completely centred on children who grow up to be goodies/baddies though. So long as they are only beiong promoted to sell the show and won't feature too heavily then I will be OK with it, but if it's too kid-centric I won't be.
If I watch this show, its gonna be a show I hate to watch, but still watch it for weird reasons. I hate spin off but then they do stuff like adding Ben as lead, and cool characters and all that stuff. but still hate spin off.
Same, i was also afraid that the fact that they don't have a batman per se would make it kind of lame, i'm glad they proved me wrong :) willing to give them a chance :)
Could be, I'll guess well have to wait and see honestly for me personally though as long as they don't seriously mess with Batman cannon I'll be happy, I can deal with some chances as long as they work within the story.
Well, from what I've seen, Batman and Catwoman seem connected as kids. That is a bit much, to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they have Bruce in class and a classmate is the Joker... stuff like that. If they do that, the show will fail.
IMO, what they should do is take some of the older thugs, and show them starting out, as pawns being used by someone else, learning the ropes, while we have other major villains that Gordon can handle.
Yup sounds good and mate if they start crap like that trust me I'll be dropping this show to. I don't know what they'll do but as I said as long as they don't seriously mess with it I'll be happy.
Now, I admit the trailer, for the most part, looks good. When it is dealing with Gordon. IMO, you can do the Bruce Wayne story as the pilot. But I think that should be the end of Bruce in the series as a main character in a story. He might show up as a cameo here and there, but he should not be seen much. He should be going his own way, while Gordon makes his way in the corrupt Gotham PD slowly getting some of the criminals off the street while fighting against the cops which work with them.
In a way, it should be similar to, Chicago Code. Similar, of course, but with DC universe aspects to it.
Yup I fully agree, from what I've read and heard that's what they'll be doing maybe they're just putting the kids in the promo to appeal to casual Batman/comic book fans etc
The fact that Bruno Heller is running this show has me very worried. Same guy who completely botched the ending of the Red John storyline on The Mentalist.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
it looks good......I guessing season 1 will focus on the man responsible for murder of BW parent the city with crime and corruption
ReplyDeleteThis looks really awesome! Seriously I wish I could watch it now :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa, this looks awesome! I am so excited for it now.
ReplyDeleteOh hell yeah, I am officially in. I was afraid it wasn't going to be dark and gritty (like Nolan's movies) but this definitely proved me wrong.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer a SH/Hieroglyph combo but this show will be pretty huge at first I'm assuming so they should probably launch an entire new night, and use this to ensure maximum ratings for either Hieroglyph or SH.
ReplyDeleteWow this looks good.
ReplyDeleteI also prefer a SH/Hieorglyph combo, but I think Hieroglyph will be paired with Following...maybe.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of having Hieroglyph and Sleepy Hollow together. I'm pretty excited for Hieroglyph too

ReplyDeleteBatman should never be funny or light unless it's Adam West's show so I am happy and it looks soooo good
ReplyDeleteMy Gosh, this looks amazing
ReplyDeleteyep remember it a pre-batman Gotham but I sure down the road if there is more season he will become the dark knight

ReplyDeleteSame here when I first heard of this I was admittedly a bit unsure but very hopefully because I thought it had a lot of potential and now I've seen the trailer I am so excited :)
ReplyDeleteI hope other new shows like Flash and iZombie look good as well.
ReplyDeleteI like a lot of people expect batman when they think Gotham but having some origins of BAtman villains and why they become who they are is really important too.

ReplyDeleteThis looks SOOO GOOOOD!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good!
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the kids quite frankly though the actor playing penguin looks really creepy but the rest looks good!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I will definitely will be watching.
ReplyDeleteWow, was expecting something a lot more mediocre. Maybe it was just excellent promo making but that looked very exciting very promising indeed
ReplyDeleteLooks decent, will give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my major problems with this project.
ReplyDeleteBut my problem with that is it is going to feel as everyone knows everyone before, and in a big city, that's unlikely.
ReplyDeleteLooks good.
ReplyDeleteThe trailer definitely got my interest, but I don't want it to be completely centred on children who grow up to be goodies/baddies though. ReplyDeleteBut don't you want to see the Joker when he was just the class clown? ;)

ReplyDeleteThis looks really good! Cant wait to watch it.
ReplyDeleteThis has a very cinematic feel to it, hopefully that will continue in the show itself, looked fab!
ReplyDeleteCould be, I'll guess well have to wait and see honestly for me personally though as long as they don't seriously mess with Batman cannon I'll be happy, I can deal with some chances as long as they work within the story.
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt they will focus on the kids, I think this show is Gordon centric from what I've read and heard about it.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm the only one who didn't like this trailer...
ReplyDeletethis looks good. Defo gonna watch it

ReplyDeleteOh My Freaking God, I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLooks promising.
ReplyDelete100000000% in!!
ReplyDeleteThey made Selina look terrible with that beehive haircut.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Bruno Heller is running this show has me very worried. Same guy who completely botched the ending of the Red John storyline on The Mentalist.
ReplyDeleteGotham looks good, but I couldn't stop thinking about the line "you failed this city" lol.
